Hey guys,
yesterday I noticed some battery drainage on my new One S (3rd charging cycle)
so I installed CPU SPY. & I noticed that the phone is very often using the lowest frequency possible when it also could be in deep sleep. anybody else having this issue?
(will upload some screenshots tomorrow)
I also noticed that my battery is draining pretty fast. Yes i havent put the phone down but it should last longer. Did you fully charge the battery before first use?

i updated my galaxy note n7000 a few of days back. I noticed HEAVY battery drain. I made it through only one day when i didnt even use the phone much. It was on idle most of the time. My GB battery life was excellent giving me 2 days of good use. My phone is not rooted. i disabled a lot of apps like social hub etc. i installed cpuspy and it says
unused cpu states : deep sleep
200mhz has the max percentage.
my better battery stats report has been attached.
MY phone also switches on/off the screen on its own in idle mode. what do i do? :silly:
Try a factory reset.. Also calibrate your battery once.. Don't use calibrating app from market.. But charge your phone to compete 100% then use it till it reduces to 10%.. Repeat this for 2-3 times..

well actually im having some troubles with a lot of batery drains, after deep sleep im having battery drain and when come to syncronize, anybody had the same problem?

Yes i too get a lot of battery problem in cm7.a.
so u can use stock bean v1.. it hasa very gud battery life..
But still if you want to use cm7 then you can use juice defender pro app..
that helps to save battery alot..
I get battery drain too but I use WI-FI and music allways,I can get almost 1 day in battery use.

yes even i get a very low battery backup with 20121111 cm7.
it lasts for only 12hrs with a moderate use of phone(call,whatsapp, surfing and dwnloading)

I believe my battery is bad since I have some drain issues. I just got the phone a week ago (already used). The phone looks and works flawlessly,but the battery is so bad. I don't know if this is normal, before I had an Xperia Arc which displayed WAY better battery life. In standby (screen off) it drains like 1%~4 hours (which is ok). Now if I turn wifi on and surf the web for like 10-20 minutes about 10% is gone. With the brightness set to minimum,and best wi-fi perfomance turned off. Also it drains really strange,like from 69% it goes directly to 66% and so on. While watching videos (for example a 720p 20 min video) it drains ~10%,also with minimum brightness.
Tehnical details
-S-off,unlocked bootloader,rooted
-Running ARHD 7.2 with faux kernel - 1Ghz max cpu,-25 undervolt and no gpu oc.
-3.33.401 build
No sync,no 3g,gps,no facebook installed etc. Only mx player and music+videos on sd card.
The main drainer shows up as the screen.
So,is my battery bad,is this battery life normal for the sensation,or is it a rom/kernel/baseband problem?

Battery age is important here,because the older it is,the worst it gets.
A new one may well sort out your problem.

Thank you for the reply,but that was not the intended answer I needed to get,let me refrase. So in your personal opinion,reading the data I posted,is this generally normal for this specific phone? (regardless of the battery age or whatsoever)

Hi,
There is no such thing as "Normal" when it comes to battery on the Sensation.
But it is generally accepted ,that when the battery gets old (1 year + ) it starts to deteriorate and behave in strange ways.
There is nothing wrong with your setup of the phone.
I merely suggest that a new battery will improve the general life of your phone.
Of course ,this greatly depends on how you use your phone, as well.
My older phone showed same symptoms. Battery went weak due to my habit of complete drain. I was bad at charging .
Ans. Is yes if battery is old like 1 or more year, it could posses same symptoms. But i will really advice you to try other ROMs like slimbean / any with less battery hunger. Hope it will help.

I'm using my Xperia XZ under eXistenZ ROM since few days now.
I see that my battery don't last more than one day, with a light usage.. I check wakelock detector and cpu spy, and post the screen at the end of the thread
Do you have any idea about this problem ? And what about your battery life?
