Hey guys, and gals
So i was browsing the ROM section in the Index (SOOOO GOOD btw) And I came across the BeatMod BlissSense Hybrid ROM. I installed this after trying ICS for the Desire S. Anyway, it's a very good ROM, and I really recommend it to anyone wanting a new ROM.
But I've got one problem, I cant make Skype Video calls with it, because neither the Front or Back camera work in Skype. Now I've searched the forums looking for this problem, and no-one has it. So if anyone can help (or link me to a thread I missed ) to fix the problem, I'd be thankful
Cheers XDA people.
Same here i can see the video icon but not able to make video calls.I thinks kernels has to get some thing with it....
Thought so, wasn't sure... Well at least I know now. Will there be a working kernel for it soon? Or will we have to wait? I mean it is a final release, so I'm not sure what we can do. Thanks for the reply though.

Hi
Since I'm a new user I can't post in the development forum, so imma ask here.
I have been following this thread for a long time:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293751
And I'm having a hard time finding a list of known issues for each ROM. I've been looking everywhere but still can't find if BT, HDMI output and 30fps video (just to name a few) are working with the ROMs that are listed in the thread.
I'm more interested in the Compiled CM7 for Infuse and MIUI for Infuse, but they only redirect to the CyanogenMod website and/or give half-answers.
Can anybody help?
Nope none of it works on CM7 or MIUI.
Bt and Hdmi will work when the source codes for gb come out for our phone. Hopefully soon since the last leak came out like last month and was pretty solid.
Not all that sure with the fps issue.

Thanks for clearing that one out for me.
Do you know if we'll be able to port CM9 to the Infuse once the source codes do leak? Or is this not compatible/irrelevant?
Bluetooth isn't waiting on source code, cyanogen mod uses a different Bluetooth stack than Samsung roms, the only thing that will fix Bluetooth is to find a competent developer who had the time, skill, and motivation to get the call audio working over Bluetooth.
So far we have all three, but not all in one developer
the current cm7 compile is otherwise working really well. as kies mini just hit for the infuse you gotta think the full release is right behind it.
Crossing our fingers for source code soon, HDMI and getting our video support back would be nice on custom kernels. Stock kernel is killing my inner child
"the current cm7 compile is otherwise working really well" - so, no HDMI output and no Bluetooth? Otherwise, no problems? I might give it a shot then.
What about CM9? Anybody has a clue?

Kinda shocked that nobody mentioned this.. but this should not have been asked in the development thread to begin with... thanks for choosing the right thread........
As for finding their issues.. just read the threads.. I'd recommend checking out the one with Zeus in the title.. my resources tell me it's a pretty good one...

Hi,
this is my first post here but I'm by no way new to the forums - I've been browsing for months just trying to learn. recently I've been looking at upgrading from a GB rom to an ICS rom but have been but off by the fact there are a few comments saying that Skype doesn't work with ICS yet. These posts were a while ago and I was wondering if this has changed and anyone could reccomend a rom which it works with Skype?
Thanks for your help,
Alistair404
Skype was working for me yesterday when i tried it for the first time. Using virtuous inquisition ics rom 3.0.0. Call quality wasn't great but it worked, as did messaging. Didn't use the video calling though.

Hi,
Skype does work, but if you use video, the other person will see you in green.
This is due to the fact that there are issues with HTC drivers .
Hi,
thanks for the help
I guess I'll delay updating to ICS for now as functioning Skye video is quite important to me. I'm guessing once we get a RC leak or the final release Skype will be fully supported?
Thanks again for the help,

I am new to flashing, but I want to get ICS on my Samsung Captivate which will not receive an official 4.0 update from Samsung. There are multiple options for ICS roms; the two I have heard most about are Doc Master's and Team Hacksung's CM9 (alpha). Please leave comments as to the general stability for the most up to date versions of the roms if you have experience with them. I am not interested in a buggy rom; i want one that is stable and that has most/all functions. I am a little bit confused on both forums for these roms how stable these roms are. Especially Doc Master's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1462035). It does not list any specific bugs for the versions; does this mean everything works? I'm new to this so I am confused.
Also, if I would flash one of these ICS roms and decide it is too buggy, or I don't want it anymore, can I get back to my stock Gingerbread 2.3.5 (what I currently have). If so, how? Is the best way to make a nandroid backup of my stock rom (does that work for stock?)? If not, what is.
I appreciate your help.
Help please!
Bump. I really would appreciate any help.

ICS rom
I have flashed the 2 roms you asked about. I liked them both until I found Dark Knights ICS 4.0.4. Everything works and it is smooth and fast. I have tried others also, I also liked MIUI but Dark Knights is the best so far for me.
If you search XDA you will find the answers to your other questions. You just have to be willing to read a few threads. When I started I screwed up just about every way you can think of and someone was willing to help me out.
If you go to You tube and search for videos on how to flash your Captivate, many will come up (I am a visual person). Look for videos from Josh at Mobile Tech Videos. He knows what he is talking about and is a great help.
It would probably be better if you posted this question in the captivate forums.
I would post the link but I don't have the power to do that yet.
As for your question, I am currently running the CM9 Alpha version and am loving it. It has been my daily driver for quite some time and I would definitely recommend using this ROM.
All of your questions can be found in the captivate forums. You'll have to read a lot but it's better to read more so you know what you're getting yourself in to.
Hey guys, first off I want to apologize if this is wrong area for this or if this has already been posted, but yes I have looked and haven't found anything about it.... so I have a HTC One S running the latest MIUI.... the problem is, I go to the default camera, switch it over to video recording, and it'll take the video just fine.... problem is when you go to play it or even preview it, it has a ton of lines through it, it's blurry, you see triple of everything, etc....same thing if you plug it into computer and play the vid.n help is greatly appreciated guys!
Are you on the cm9 base or the Sense base? I know the cm9 one was having camera/camcorder problems.

I believe CM9 base? I ran cm9 before and I froze the HTC sense **** lol. Not positive though, I can check if needed but I'll need to know how xD I'm still a little new to messing with Android.
There is no fix for this yet on roms that are not sense based, due to HTC using a special undocumented imaging chip for the camera in one S. If/when it is fixed I guess it'll come to miui quick.
Hi,
i'm using BlindBEAN now since v1.3 and i am more satisfied with my Desire S than ever before.
I use this as my daily ROM already - loving the smoothness and the fact that nearly everything is working.
I'm flashing custom ROMs since i got my Nexus One and i my opinion this is the best one i tried so far on any device is tested custom ROMs.
I would have posted the following in dev section, but since i'm not a member for long enough now i have to do it here and hope that someone else can help me out or perhaps i draw the attention of blindndumb himself with the title and the awesome linking system in this forum.
Anyway since we aren't allowed to do phone calls unsing our phones while having them in our hands while driving, handsfree calling has become very important so Bluetooth is essential for any car driver right now.
Sadly Bluetooth isn't working in this ROM yet, can't see any other device nor mine can be found ;(
There's another minor thing i experienced when watching youtube vids or streaming vids by using the browser, the phone does a quick restart.
I know this isn't even an Alpha or Beta but "just" a Preview version and everything else works fine already which is so awesome!!!
Still i would be more than happy for a workaround with the bluetooth issue otherwise i paitiently am waiting for an update from the dev himself
Thanks,
and i very much apologize for my bad english, since i'm from the same country nk111 is from ;P
