From what I've seen on a quick Google, all the Sensations have volume buttons, are you sure it's a Sensation?
I may be wrong, so feel free to correct me.
There are ways around it, you could use the ADB Fastbooter to get to Fastboot, then use Fastboot Commander, both of which can be found via Search.
I'm still fairly new to Android and know the long ways around, so if anyone knows a shorter way, I'd like to hear your answer.
No volume buttons, as in they're broken or missing or just don't have any.. lol

There are long ways around it if you can get in too Recovery as 4ext is touch now.

you could do that. You can also reboot into recovery while you're phone is on by using an app such as quickboot. What if your phone bootlooped though? It'd be a pain to get it back into recovery. Maaaybe you could get into recovery using adb while in bootloop, but nonetheless it's annoying to do so. Why don't you provide more information as to how the volume rockers are broken? If the thing fell off, you could easily buy a new back cover OR press in the volume area which should work. I wouldn't bother rooting my phone if my volume rockers were completely broken.

okay so i installed this rom to my tmobile htc sensation and now after a few hours i hate it and want to go back to stock is there anyway i can becuase i tried to use vol down key power button but it wont work it'll just turn on the normal way and i didnt back up anything at all i know that was a dumb move on my side but i just been stock htc sensation with sense UI on it again someone please help me !!!!
the rom i had been using was SENSEaY_XE35_v2.1.0 and now im trying to get stock again
Make sure that fastboot is turned off in your power settings. Now you can boot into recovery. Alternatively i am sure you can do it through the restart function on Senseay.
To get back to stock rom, i'm sure if you use the search tool you will find what you are looking for.
Android dev forum there is an explanation if how to go back to stock.
If one rom didn't work for you can always try another. Try ARHD or Insert Coin, etc.

Well I removed the from because of something small I didn't like about it but I'm stock again now and wondered if I was able to keep stock and have the beats audio software?

If you are full stock. No root what so ever then No unless your carrier releases an update for it containing Beats Audio
Is well I flashed the stock rom back to my phone does that mean I'm not rooted anymore like I still have my S-Off wouldn't I be able to put that beats audio on my phone only?

I broke the glass on the digitizer on my HTC Sensation here awhile ago. I ordered a new digitizer on Ebay and changed it myself. The phone works fine, but it responds really slow and laggy from time to time. I discovered AFTER i changed the digitizer and threw the old in the thrash that i should have written down the model-number on the old original digitizer. Is there a way to fix it with a new software or do i need to change to a digitizer with the same number as the old that was on the phone ? I dont have a clue what modelno. the old digitizer was since it is thrown away
I think I saw a help thread with this same problem and there was a fix. I'll search and you search and I'll see if I can find it. If so I'll link you to it. You search too because I know I saw a fix for this.

Is there a "software-fix" for my problem or do i need to buy a new digitzer and change it again ? The s/n is : HT15KV817371. The p/n is : 99HNA038-00 A
Since the old digitizer is thrown away i have no clue whatsoever on where to buy the correct digitizer PLEASE HELP......
Can anyone help me with a "correct" number for a new digitizer ? I guess the only option i have. Seems like the proximity sensor is having some problems too.....
Software fix = Flash an RUU.
How does that help? -I don't know what causes the problem, but the RUU restores your phone to stock.
Refer this thread for why I suggested this (read the whole thing): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1679719
& use this guide: http://tinyurl.com/RUUGuide
I tried to install a file to reset the digitizer with no luck

Add your mid to the android_info.txt file inside the zip.
See the RUU guide, it has a point about adding your CID to the file. It's similar.

Just tried to install an older rom i have on the sd-card to see if it is the rom who was acting up. But 4Ext Recovery Touch didnt work either,so i guess its the digitizer who has just decided to die......??? Is there a way to test the digitizer to see if its responsive ? IF it was the rom the digitizer should work in recovery but its not

Wrong Section...Mods please move this to the Q&A.
first: as above said wrong section
second: use a touchscreen recovery like 4ext

Fourth. I think your keyboard is stuck in capslock mode. Maybe you should fix that first .

Secondly yes, you should be able to. As far as I know you should be able to flash 4ext recovery from fastboot . This is a touch recovery so you won't need volume buttons. Just check out the 4ext thread. And I'm glad you got that caps lock issue fixed

Buttons do not work at ALL, only in bootloader porwer and volume and power on func.
In all other modes don't work, no response in ROM, no response in Recovery, only touch control!
Track pad lights red and proximity sensor too when phone ON, no illumination from buttons.
SORRY FOR MY POOR ENGLISH!!
If power button and volume rocker work fine in bootloader mode, but not in rom and recovery, its doubtfully a hardware issue. I would suggest flashing a new recovery first (through fastboot if you have s-off) then flash a new rom. Have you tried this? Are you s-on or off? When did this happen? What have you tried to fix?

Yeah I`m S-OFF 1.44 revolutionary, now flashed TWRP because it`s touch controlled, tried GB, ICS and JB...
It happened once on GB yesterday, hard lags and not working buttons(battery was low) then reboot, charging, all ok, then I`ve flashed JB CM10, first run was ok, all good, only autofocus in camera wasn't as awesome, after reboot buttons died and no way to recover them now :crying:
I think i need to flash pg59img, full stock(boot, radio, recovery, rom) but I have a question: S-ON or not S-ON

Sooooo.....I need to do S-ON or S-OFF will be nice?
If you want to return your phone to stock you will be s-on, to then root your phone again, as revolutionary won't work, you will need to follow the next guide to get s-off
Maybe I'm not following your question?

tried after first flash CM10,better battery experience, but that bug is unremovable
in the htcdev there is just htc sensation and no XE
are they the same ????
or what should i do ? and how can i know the HBOOT number ?
thnx
To see, what HBOOT you have, go into the bootloader by pressing VolDown and POWER when you power on the phone, and put out your battery before, that the sensation would not use fastboot or what it is called. As far as I know Sensation and XE are not the same, but not sure?
