Wrong Section...Mods please move this to the Q&A.

first: as above said wrong section
second: use a touchscreen recovery like 4ext
third: if the volume buttons don't work its time to buy a new fone

Fourth. I think your keyboard is stuck in capslock mode. Maybe you should fix that first .

Secondly yes, you should be able to. As far as I know you should be able to flash 4ext recovery from fastboot . This is a touch recovery so you won't need volume buttons. Just check out the 4ext thread. And I'm glad you got that caps lock issue fixed

How to overclock

Hi noob here, I just want to ask is there a way to overclock sensation without flashing new rom, I wanted to keep the stock Rom.

Search button? but i will spoonfeed you:
1. Need to be S-off
2. Root
3. Kernel which can be overclocked
4. SetCpu / Daemon Controller / System Tuner and alike...
You want to be @ stock?
1. Check EddyOS's work for the ROM...
(ARHD and Insert Coin if you want a fully optimize with closer to stock feel...)

From what I've seen on a quick Google, all the Sensations have volume buttons, are you sure it's a Sensation?
I may be wrong, so feel free to correct me.
There are ways around it, you could use the ADB Fastbooter to get to Fastboot, then use Fastboot Commander, both of which can be found via Search.
I'm still fairly new to Android and know the long ways around, so if anyone knows a shorter way, I'd like to hear your answer.
No volume buttons, as in they're broken or missing or just don't have any.. lol

you could do that. You can also reboot into recovery while you're phone is on by using an app such as quickboot. What if your phone bootlooped though? It'd be a pain to get it back into recovery. Maaaybe you could get into recovery using adb while in bootloop, but nonetheless it's annoying to do so. Why don't you provide more information as to how the volume rockers are broken? If the thing fell off, you could easily buy a new back cover OR press in the volume area which should work. I wouldn't bother rooting my phone if my volume rockers were completely broken.

[Q] cm7 help

Thought I did pretty good for a noob and not asking a single question. Rooted my HTC Inspire 4g. All was good until I flashed cm7. Now the loading screen sticks on HTC then fades away, however I can still bring up the bootloader. is there a way to flash stock rom from here, or did I brick my phone?
No you did not brick phone just get pd98 rooted stock rom place in root of SD then power up with volume down and power button at same time into hboot it will see pd98 ask to install volume up for yes let it do its thing.
Or just go to recovery that same way and reflash cm7.

Rooted Gingerbread rom do not rename just place in root of sd

This is kinda late but oh well. Yes it is rooted, s-off, used aahk. When I first posted this I had no idea what I was doing. Since then, I'm working on learning development side of things and am helping out with a hardware fix on HTC Vivid CM10 jellybean rom on rootz. My Inspire 4g is still on cm7 and I use it as a back up when I'm working on my Vivid. Better late than never, but thanks for ya'lls help back when.

Take out the battery..put on..reboot while pressing volume button down...recovery mode...have you backup yr stock rom..?

unlocking bootloader

in the htcdev there is just htc sensation and no XE
are they the same ????
or what should i do ? and how can i know the HBOOT number ?
thnx
To see, what HBOOT you have, go into the bootloader by pressing VolDown and POWER when you power on the phone, and put out your battery before, that the sensation would not use fastboot or what it is called. As far as I know Sensation and XE are not the same, but not sure?
