HTC Sensation - Clockworkmod will not install

Hi guys, i am struggling to get the CWM installed on my sensation for some reason it will not see the zip file on the sd card and will not update, is there a RUU that i can flash this with so i can use it
also the screen is unresponsive (totally doesnt work, I believe there has been some water damage inside the digitalizer i was hoping new software would fix this issue)
any help or advice would be great cheers guys

Had a superCID on it and S-OFF

in order to upgrade my phone to ICS with Rom:
DarkForest Sensation XE ICS 4.1.0
On step 8 it powered down and never came back...
Waited more then long enough for it...
Battery was 100% before i started the whole thing, so it couldn't be empty...
HBoot won't start anymore and...
When i now connect the phone to my USB port on Windows 7 Pro, it states QHSUSB_DLOAD but doesn't know the driver for it...
Anyone knows how to revive my phone or do i need to send it towards HTC?
Fact is that if there would be a driver and a program to get it downloaded to the phone... It might come back, but i can't find any info on how what were...

Anyone know how to use the search feature?

A jtag is hardware that is manually soldered onto the motherboard in order to be able to write to the whole emmc without it needing to work. Is used for recovering devices from full hardware bricking. Ie deleted bootloaders ect.

It's still relevant and could work. An old post doesn't mean it's unusable.
May be worth trying if it does revive the phone.

I know its still relivant man, im just saying its been a year. I dont think i would keep a bricked phone for a year+.

hi just rooted my htc sensation xe using hansooon all in one kit, everthing seemed ok, cm10 flashed ok but just gets stuck on the loading screen when i reboot the phone, is there anything i can do? please help..

Hi,
If you are s-on, you need to follow THIS THREAD
It basically requires you to install 4 EXT recovery,and use the "Smartflash" option to flash your custom ROMS

Hi guys, I would like to ask you just a quick question.
I have the possibility to buy this HTC Sensation, but the guy is telling me that when he turns on the phone, it get's stuck in this menu.
Is the phone bricked or can I make it work.
I'm not asking for any kind of tutorial, I simply want to know if this is a serious and unrepairable problem, or the guy just doesn't know what is doing.

Nope the phone is not bricked is stock in boot loader....I think if u download the ruu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074559 from that phone you can get it back to new ! Or use this method too http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542192 just paste the .zip file on your SD card pull the battery out...put it back...hold the volume down and power bottom until u get into bootloader and let file do the rest

The phone is definitely not bricked..its just on bootloader and on what not its on HBOOT 1.17/SOFF
So you can technically doing anything either install a stock ruu or cutom rom of your choice....if you are getting it foe a decent price i would recommend you to go for it

Like the last two guys said there isn't anything wrong that can't be easily fixed tell the guy that you did a bit of research and found its pretty much useless but you will give 50$ for it and try to "experiment" with it. Then run the ruu and bam you have a 50$ sensation :L

Juopunutbear Wire Trick IMPOSIBLE

Hi everyone!
I have an Htc Sensation 4G from T-Mobile. I've been trying the wire trick for Juopunutbear S-OFF method and its not working AT ALL! I have been trying for 30 min now and I'm not sure why its not working. I connected it with a insulated wire, watied for 1.75 seconds and connected it again. The phone reboots and just goes back to the screen with only the status bar. Does anyone have any tips on getting the wire trick working?

The first time I used Juopunutbear it took me about 2h.
Just try it over and over.

Luckily I managed to get the timing right after 10-15 mins. More luck than judgement though I have to say.
Just had a quick look at the link "xLychee" posted, it looks pretty good.

I did my own twice and it worked. So here is what you need to do first unlock your bootloader through htcdev and use all in one x toolkit to flash cwm recovery and copy superSu to sd card and flash it then try the juopunutbear again make sure your timing is correct.

I know how u feel, tip....look in YouTube and u sld find a video with someone dng it and it makes more sense on how to do it, ill try to find it and post the link or send u a pm...or search in utube "HTC sensation wire trick and it sld b the 1st one...tnx

it's very easy

It's all in the timing, don't give up you can do it just be patient and get the timing correct its worth it! You will be very happy once you succeed! S off is the way to go! You will love it! Wishing you the best!

Can you describe the brick you mean?
Juopunutbear never bricks your device unless you disconnect the phone in the middle of process..

It's the same with my phone, there's just the status bar. right now i'm trying to restore from CWM but this takes pretty long...

I managed the wire trick on about the fifth try, its not impossible at all.

this is like when you want to flash PSP with ChickHen
Timing is all you need

Well I took about 3hr30mins
ITS ALL ABOUT TIMING, you can make yourself an audio file which does constant loop with
beep(0.3sec) --- Silence(1.25sec) --- Beep(0.3sec) and make it loop, I did this using audacity on Windows.
I was finally able to soff using the audio as a reference, tweek the timing in the audio to get the right timing
And even I thought mine was dead, If you have the Charging LED lit after doing the wire trick and phone just went blank, your timing wasnt right, just start the phone using the power button and restart the process(wiretrick)

Help!!!!! Wifi and bluetooth error... Not turnning on..

I need special help with the sensation XE, I bought not long ago and never checked the WIFI Or bluetooth But recently I tried both and it showed error, i saw some faq about it did it like, unlocking the bootloader though it came s_off, install custom recovery and upgraded the firmware to 3.33, try revolution HD rom no way, flashed another firmware or so to 11. And tried cm10 no way, tried slimbean no way, Am just stuck at it. DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO
........
Guys pls advice me on what else to do, it's just 2 weeks old and I got no warranty over it....

Did you try going back to Stock ROM? I would strongly recommend flashing back to the Stock Rom and then --
Enter the following line of USSD code in your Phone Dialer to get into the Diagnostic Menu
type *#*#3424#*#* and you will enter in HTC Diagnostic menu 3424 means (DIAG)
Test your Wifi and Bluetooth from there. If you are still not getting any positive results, then go the Settings > About Phone > Software update and check for any updates regarding the phone from Htc.
I faced a similar problem regarding Wifi not powering on and it turned out to be a Settings Update which broke the Wifi. I uninstalled the update and the phone worked as a charm.

I had the Wi-Fi problem, but flashing a kernel fixed it all.

None work ,thinking now is an hardware ish,,,saw some crack in the back maybe it
Was broken before I was sold to....just wanna try returning it or pulling it apart..

The golden pins in the back cover also need to be clean in order to Wi-Fi work.
EDIT: Make sure the golden pins & back cover are very clean, and in contact properly.
All antennas are in the back cover.
Including bluetooth.

Mate try ruu
I was suffering from same issues
Changed lot off Roms , even I restored my stock Rom backup but still same problem.
Finally I flashed original ruu
And all problms r gone
Did u try WiFi hotspot??
Check it , it also keep turning on and never turned on .
For me
This problem occurs when I flashed jelly bean sense 4+ Rom and switch back to arhd and other ics Rom

Hi i baught a sensation cheap coz the wifi r bluetooth did not work, tried every fix, s-off, radio, firmware everything but nothing worked at all. Turned out that it was the back battery cover, there is copper looking pins on there but they aint pins, they just conductive paint and they worn through to the plastic so this is what i done, look at the pics, now i have perfect wifi and bluetooth ever since. Its worth a try

Oh so many things to try out let me try them one by one and by the way where can I see the Ruu

I even flashed back the original firmware from gingerbread and Rom refuse to boot maybe I will find the Ruu for gingerbread and try GB.. Just to see this blue toot working

I had the similar problem one my one S...I simply turned off my phone, removed my back cover and since I can't remove my battery, removed my sim card for a few minutes, reinserted and it just worked fine..
Try it once..
