Hi,
as per the title is there any way to stop the stock user agent from resetting to android every time you exit the browser on ICS?
Its the only thing that seems to be wrong with this rom.

What ROM are you using? I'm using Team Eos ICS and it does not change automatically. Have you typed "about:debug" as the url and then tried changing your UA?

Yes, that is how I changed the us string in the first place. Using ics browser now though so its OK now

anybody have a fix for downloading things from xda and other sites? when using chrome and trying to download something it opens the stock browser and loops between chrome and stock browser not downloading anything. and when using stock browser it starts to load the page, stops, and closes the browser completely.
If you on an at&t based Rom you can go in app association settings and set chrome to default web.

thanks for the info, i already tried this though. it causes the same loop except it doesnt loop between chrome and stock browser, just between tue page im on and the only with the download. im going to switch it and try the stock browser.

same with stock as well. i end up saving the link and having to use turbo downloader
I've found going to settings and selecting the ask for desktop version will typically get you to the download. In chrome and stock browser

I changed from CM9 to CM10 one week ago and I'm pretty satisfied with it. Except of that there is no flash player at all.
I searched all threads and posts on XDA and the web but i couldn't find any solution for this problem which works on the one s. This issue is very important to me because 90% of the whole websites still including flash player and browsing without it sucks big time!! I already installed the flash player apk but still can't get it to run. For me its one of the most important tools and i badly need it. Thats why i started this thread. Thanks for any answers :good:

Restore from Titanium backup? Paul O'Brian had a flash downloader app but it was pulled from the Market...maybe someone can upload?
to get the apk isn't the problem. i already installed this, but it will not work. the app by itself is working fine (i open it like on cm9 and it goes straight via browser to settings and it allows me to change the option) but when i open for example youtube by boat or dolphin it opens the usual flash window and it starts to load but this is it..
I remember reading something about Adobe Flash player not getting support anymore for 4.0.4.
The stock browser supports flash anything else like Dolphin will not work.

I installed the latest nightlies rom of cyanogenmod (from xkonni's CM10 20120815 to nightlies CM10 20120829). After flashing this rom, FLASH PLAYER works for me now. With stock browser and even with boat browser or dolphin browser. I don't know why but i'm so happy with it!!!! Thanks to the developer very big!!!

Can you provide a link? I've been searching all over their website and I couldn't find anything that was jelly bean related, only a link to that play site where when you try to download it says it's incompatible

Has anybody managed to get Flash working yet? I have downloaded the APK and installed it but to no avail. It's the only feature I am really missing right now. There must be a way. I've worked with many Android/Samsung devices and this is the first I haven't been able to get flash working.
Chrome doesn't support Flash, and while I can't speak to all of the browsers, Boat and Dolphin both support it. Perhaps try a different browser. Everyone I have seen that couldn't make Flash work eventually figured it out. Be persistent.
I use dolphin browser. That supports flash.

Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've installed flash player and I'm using dolphin but I'm still getting the blue blocks when attempting to load a flash enabled page. Would appreciate any support

What browser are you using? Flash works now. Don't look to the future if you don't have it working now. You're missing a setting somewhere.

I mainly use dolphin for pad but I have tried the mobile version as well...
So something is wrong I think. Then the only option is to factory reset my note?

I think you're missing a setting. That's all. Try Boat, and try uninstalling Dolphin and reinstalling it before you do a factory reset.
Been using fundozz's pureview miui rom and loving it, however I am unable to download picture texts (mms). I've tried playing with the apn settings and used an app that automatically sets up the apn for you, still no go.Did a full wipe before install, on T-Mobile USA. Any advice?

You might have to enable data to receive and send mms. This is a problem for me and doing this solves it. Then if you don't have a data plan just disable it after.

Thanks for the response. Data is enabled. It seems to be downloading for about a minute then just fails?

Yes. Working on recent roms such as gsnap, GingerDX, even JB paranoidandroid works. Seems to be just pureview?

Alright so I installed go SMS. It received a picture just fine.. maybe its just the stock app? Which I would prefer to use over go SMS.
Maybe you could use the stock messaging apk from another ROM?
Ok so deleted go SMS.. now when someone sends a mms I get a fc.. something something.mms? Went into msg app and it fails to download again.
Would it be possible to unzip another miui rom and just install the message app apk?

As far as pulling a stock sms app from another cm7 based miui, it causes forcecloses. SMS app doesnt even open after installing the .apk.
As far as the APN settings, ive googled and searched, and everything ive tried is still a no go. Used an app from the store called Twweaker? Sets the APN for you, still no go.

Hey guys I've read every post I could find on flash players here and tried every browsers flash version apk and install method I could find yet none seem to work... I'm running PAC ROM gt p31xx im at my wits end does anyone know why this isn't working for me but seem just fine for every one else?

I sent you pm with link to 10.3. Have you tried Dolphin browser and enabled flash in the settings? Flash must be "turned on" in Dolphin in order to work. Before installing, install Dolphin. In Dolphin, go to settings, then go down to "web content". Change flash player setting in web content to "on demand".

I am using boat browser and flash 11.1 without issue. Works on 4.04 / 4.1.1 / 4.1.2 and 4.2.1 / 4.2.2 custom ROMs

Pretty much all I'm trying to do is watch video in browser. I've tried every version of flag and multiple browsers playing with the flash settings in each but still no luck
Then maybe the video you are trying to play isn't a flash video. There's not too much to say about it. It just works. Just make sure you have plugins enabled and the newest version of Flash for your OS.
