I got all my info in my galaxy 1, messages, contacts, what's app, apps, wallpapers, data etc, is there a way to pass all that info?
Why don't you just use Google sync service?
you can back up applications with titanium back up or appmonster . but your saves will be deleted
back up sms & contacts with sdbackup
then transfer all your things from memory and pase it to s2 .

uninstalled various apps using titanium back-up and my phone account for contacts is gone. Only gmail account for contacts available now. All the stuff i deleted were ok to delete on froyo. Anyone has any idea which app causes that? Possible candidates are lg pc suite, email, richnote ,social and a few more. Since i need to reinstall the rom everytime it is a bit annoying to try and eliminate each and every one of them so i was wondering if anyone has pinpointed the problem so far. And no if i make a backup of the apps i uninstall with titanium back up and then restore it my phone account doesn't return...
I can't help with what apps may cause it but you might find it easier to go into the settings menu of your phone and go to the part of it showing your applications and look at the permissions required to see what apps need sms or contact related permissions.
I can say that you are able to back up phone contacts with Titanium Backup and restore them which should mean that even if an app uninstalls them you can simply restore the contacts from an sd card.
Haven't used Titanium for a while so had to look up how to backup contacts for you but apparently this should be all you need to do in order to backup your contacts with it (copied and pasted from another websites support pages so not my instructions)....
1 - Open Ti Backup
2 - Select the 'Backup/Restore' tab
3 - Select the 'menu' button to bring up some options in this tab
4 - Select 'Batch' (there a bunch of pre-programmed choices)
5 - Option 3 <RUN> 'Backup all user apps+system data'
6 - This will open another window where you can view all the items that are going to be backed up one of which is 'CONTACTS/CALLS' among a bunch of other items.
7 - Select 'Run Operation' at the top and the backup will start
8 - Be sure to copy the contents to your local machine HD for safe keeping
If that is done you shouldn't have a problem with contacts again, alternatively you can also sync contacts with gmail so your phone contacts can be restored that way as well.

for some strange reason lg pc sync caused it. when I uninstall it my phone contacts account is gone. Not sure if it is happening to me only though...
I noticed an option in the settings menu to automatically backup my phone to Google servers. Settings, Wifi password etc... However I wasn't able to find any further information about this backup. What exactly is being backed up? I know that my contacts, calendar, mail are synced with my Google account but what about text messages, applications, application settings, Doodle Jump score? Can I display this backup somewhere online? If I reset my phone (for example to have it repaired), what will the phone look like once I log in again with my Google account?
I have Nexus S with Ice Cream Sandwich, I know this didn't work much with Gingerbread so I'm wondering what has changed.
The app data is displayed in your google dashboard (https://www.google.com/dashboard).
But, in my dashboard I only see 10 of 120 apps being backup'ed.
Anyone know how to get all apps backup'ed?
Thank you. Chmm, in my case I see only 8 of ~60 apps being backup'ed. I wonder why. At least some basic stuff like sms or call log would be nice to have automatically backuped.
guys for those htc one x user , do you guys know how to backup all contacts phone and sms , via online ? i mean no need to backup to computer and have to sync again with the new phone through cable ?

Not sure if it's included with the free version but you can backup apps and sms/mms via titanium backup. I use it all the time going from phone to phone/rom to rom

Try using Super backup and drop box, both free. Backup your SMS and contacts with Super Backup, then move the backup file, which will be located on your SD card, into your drop box. Then you can restore the backup from any device with those 2 apps.
"my backup pro" will also do the job, have backed up all my data and moved it to a new device numerous times!
Wrong section should be in q & a

Just backup your contacts to Gmail, if you haven't already. Its really the way Android is meant to be used. If your contacts are saved to Gmail, they just sync automagically to your new phone (or when you flash a ROM) when you first power the phone on, and login to your Google account.
Various ways to backup SMS. The app SMS Backup+ works nicely to backup your texts to Gmail.
Dear Tehnologensia,
I have the new Galaxy Note 3 and I accidentally deleted my contacts. Gmail only saved e-mail contacts and none of (actual phone number) contacts were backuped. I've tried import/export SD card, etc, Kies, the Samsung Service center, Samsung Live Chat, online undelete programs, etc and none of it has worked. What's the most frustrating is if I use S Search and type in a contact, the contacts do appear in the S Search History as if I didn't delete them, but of course, they are deleted. Is there anything I can do to recover my lost contacts? Strangely, all my back up programs like drop box, etc saved everything on my phone EXCEPT the phone number contacts, which is what I actually need. Any advice/help would be much appreciated.
SIncerely,
DKM
PS: I don't know/understand rooting so I haven't tried that option.
What app is the best or recommended before flashing a new rom?One that saves contacts sms apps etc. Thanks for any suggestion.
there are two possibilities:
1)titanium backup: for apps & system options (wifi network, BT device etc)
contacts: there is google sync, enable it; else in the contact app there is import/export menu (it save a .csv file in your sd)
i prefer for the sms: sms backup & restore link
2) if you want an all in one G Cloud Backup
