do not working

I started manually from adb nachoroot.bin, it try to patch some non existent files which are specific to asus (sensor, some config..), i can post later screenshot. With this patch is impossible to root optimus 3d.
If you really rooted it successfully it was one step before viper and viper only copied su, please try to remember what else you tried.
@adiextra Can you make flashable recovery from PC? With this we can easily root phone.
Best Regards.

it shows me that

one thing i remember that i came from v21a rooted, and then i flash with v21b adixtra style (so i already have superuser on it), after that i rooted with vipermod just once and it's rooted easily, it's work for me i have v21b rooted

Just to be sure before i try, phone is flashed (upgraded firmware on already rooted phone) with this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1287236 and then after that rooted with vipermod?

yes you can try it, unzip the file from your download in windows ( i use windows xp sp3 32 bit), connect your phone to computer (your computer must have driver for the phone and phone must be in debugmod) run viperMOD primer tool.exe (your computer must connected to internet because will download nacho root), there will be three options choose one for root and hit enter, it will download nachoroot and push automaticly to phone and reboot by itself, wait until reboot complet (if windows ask to install driver just ignored it) by it self will rooting wait you will be ask uid and gid must be 0, check your result if your uid and gid 0 respond yes (if not repead the procedure)now it will rooting your phone and will booting by itself after booting compled your phone is rooted
ps i am not responsable if you brick your phone

There are two ways to root your galaxy 3 on 2.2/2.1
Z4ROOT(2.1)
1.Download the attached z4root.apk and install it.
2.Enable USB Debugging
3.Go into z4root and click on Permanent Root.
Super One Click Root(2.2)
Make sure your phone drivers are installed on the computer (Samsung Kies). Then follow the steps:

3. Connect the phone to the computer using the USB Cable.
4. Superoneclick will detect the phone.
5. Now the phone will be rooted.(don't touch while it is going on.)
6. After rooting, download and install busybox on your phone.(get it from market)
If you run into any problems then, follow the instruction s given below..(by hodostamas)
If the program stucks here:
Running rageagainstthecage...
or
getting mount path...
Do this:
1. If touchwiz is the default launcher, set it.
2. Reboot your phone
3.Try to root again following the above instructions
(It should be pass Running rageagainstthecage...)
Restart phone, and try again.

Already rooted using superoneclick long ago.
Just wanted to know-
if manual rageagainstthecage method using terminal emulator works with g3?
And update.zip method works for froyo? (they say it's for eclairs, I personally never tested on froyo or eclairs, but it seems to be the easiest method if it works, after z4root which doesn't work)
is there any new way to root the phone ?

I find that flashing a custom rom is a lot easier since it is pre-rooted and it's got a lot of performance tweaks etc but i'm using stock rom atm and i rooted it using superoneclick. If you have android 2.1 then use z4root (an app on your phone) which i have used for my first time rooting on this phone when i had android 2.1 and if you have android 2.2 then use superoneclick root (a program on your computer). Hope this helps.

Flash via cwm recovery and get root access if u have not yet
u dont need a laptop (super one click root) u only need a custom recovery,
btw every custom rom comes prerooted, it is only usefull for those who have stock rom (Odexed or deodexed) with a custom recovery(g3mod kernel)

Or wait for some more time, we(me n dympy) are testing new method(s)
I rooted using Superoneclick but my data access is off now. When I check on, & go to browser. The datacheck box becomes off again.
Any fix for this?

[Q] Problems with rooting

Hello,
today I wanted to root my g3, because i flashed a stock firmware. Now with super one click it doesn't work anymore but many times before it always worked without any problems. Super one click says:"Waiting for device.." and after that nothing happens. So is there any other possibility to gain root acess??? My firmware is JPU and i flashed G3 Mod kernel 2.3.
Thanks in advance
Isn't g3mod prerooted already?
No, Superuser isn't installed. Set Cpu and Titanium Backup can't obtain root acess
There are also many other ways, I've read about it. But I ended at SuperOneClick also. Check this method out (rooting is on 3rd page, but try to take a look at previous, too). I see (from my FF internet history) that I've read it once...
And, please, tell if it worked

You probably did this since you already used Super one click but I will still ask...
Have you enabled USB debugging mode?
you can use unlock root if superoneclick don't work.for me it's the best for root
I'll write a little guide and you'll see if you forgot any steps...
1.) Activate USB debugging (settings > applications > development > USB debugging
2.) Unmount SD card (settings > sd and phone storage > unmount sd)
3.) Shut down phone
4.) Open superoneclick and connect phone to computer via usb
5.) Click ROOT
6.) When it says waiting for device turn on phone and wait
7.) Superoneclick should show msg "Your phone is rooted"
8.) As soon as it starts up, phone will be rooted and ready

I would assume none of these steps worked because the same happened to me once and I couldn't do anything
How to fix: make sure debugging is enabled on phone and put it away for now. Uninstall Kies and Samsung drivers and then re-install them. Now simply reinstall Kies and connect phone. Voila, you can now use super one click to root. (Make sure you use 'rage against the cage for old version and auto for new )
I think g3mod is indeed pre-rooted and it isn't recognized bij superoneclick (I think). You just have to install superuser from the market. This works for me. It only takes some time the first time superuser access was asked.
The G3 Mod Kernel is really not rooted
-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252698
The G3 Mod ROM however is
-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252719
Easy to mix in mind.
T1ll is using stock ROM with G3 Kernel.
-> no root by default

This happends to me too, but I didn't enable USB debuging mod.
I have another probelm with SuperOneClick, as I try to download it my NOD32 antivirus detekts some trojan virus inside, so I would it not recomend anymore!!!
I just rooted my i5800 XXJPS with Unlock Root application.
After I finished with rooting, the instruction was to restart my phone, and than
my phone started to flash white light.
I had to take battery out, and than I started my phone.
It worked, the rooting was succesufull, but I don't now why my phone started to flash???
just give a f*ck to any virus scanner warning on your pc
its an exploit (!), so the virus warnings are consequent
do it or let it be
or
use a CR, they are all (?) prerooted

[Q] Nachoroot can't get ID 0

I've started root using nachoroot but I can't get ID=0, it is always 2000. I've repeated the procedure 4 times so far but ID is always 0.
So I thought I'd try RazorClaw. It says that system is already rooted and won't run.
next idea I had was to unroot and start again so I installed and ran RecoveryInstaller and flashed - no errors.
Rebooting to CWM doesn't - reboots to a yellow exclamation mark in a white triangle nad a little green android.
Can you help me unroot please?
I did all this because I have rooted successfully with nachoroot, run RecoveryInstaller to get CWM, then unrooted with nachoroot ADB procedure. Unfortunately SuperUSer app was still present and I tried everything to uninstall it.
Even thought I haven't been able to re-root because I can't get ID 0, the system is obviously mostly rooted as Root Explorer let me uninstall SuperUser.

No I didn't forget - this is the second time I've done this. The first root the unroot worked well but didn't remove the superuser app.
So I've tried to re-root. It has mostly worked because RazorClaw says it is already rooted. Because of this I installed Root Explorer and removed the superuser app OK.
Is it because I don't have the superuser app that i can't run RecoveryInstaller to install CWM?
Just go to the market and download super user app
OK, tried that. I reinstalled SuperUser and reran RecoveryInstaller and got CWM. When I then tried to remove Superuser with Root Explorer, it wasn't in /system/app even though the Superuser icon exists in Apps.
Next step I retried the unroot procedure and the first zip install failed.
How can I tell whether the tf101 is rooted, unrooted or stuck somewhere in between?
I really want to get to ICS when it's released officially.
If you download superuser app from market look in data/app for it.
If you're trying to go totally stock, look here.

I'm going to have to agree, I have run through the steps for nachoroot 5 times now and always get "cannot create /data/local.prop: permission denied" when trying to run --stage2.
I've never had problem rooting any other device I have, so I will safely say that nachoroot does not work on .21 firmware.

Plenty of peoples have gotten root on .21 firmware. There's a few case where it does not work and seems like you're one of them.
Maybe try the 8.6.6.19 firmware and RazorClaw

Nope. Just search vipermod. You don't need an update if you have cwm. You can just install what ever you want then. Including the update..
i just realized that the android version still 3.1 do i still have to update it to 3.2 or anything? if so how?

thanks. the last thing im having trouble with is the drivers installation it also says disable asus sync and the splashtop but i cant find those two apps anywhere. also vipermod got updated so the choices are now:
1: root (only method for prime on ICS v9.x.x.11)
2: root (only method for prime on ICS v9.x.x.8)
3: alt root (recommended for TF101 also works with prime on v8.x.x.x)
4. unroot
5. install unlock tool and flash cwm
6 donate
7 exit
from my understanding i would connect the tablet to my laptop, kill asus sync and splashtop somehow, then open the vipermod app and press 3? i cant tell you how thankful i am for everyone helping me i'd be so lost
User option 1 in ViperMod
I used nachoroot. So I don't know. You could use that too. I am putty sure you choose 1 tho in vipermod.

No root for you until you read for awhile man. I at this point i am not comfertable with your knowledge base. Read. Read some more. Google adb. Read some more. Learn. Your frustration is from your lack of knowledge. Just an fyi; I like honey comb better then ics. Maybe you'll feel the same.
I was able to update to ics by manually downloading from the asus website. Tried vipermod again and still got adb unrecognized so I looked up how to install adb which I did. Still nothing. [Q] LG Optimus 3D V20B cant root

Hi i know they have developed a root app for V20b but i keep on getting some corrupt installation stuffs. How do i root it?
What is exactly the problem that you can't root?
Can you give the following info?
1. What is the software u used to root it? This?
2. Is your phone in usb debug mode?
3. Do you have the latest LG drivers?
4. Did you also tried other methods to root that maybe damaged some files. (set phone to factory default in this case.)
If those are okay but your problem is not solved. Please make some screen shots of your errors.
This is his problem.

you can backup them but you still need to remove them after. Also i prefer to do a factory reset. Than you are sure you deleted all that's needed.
Only i'm wondering how many apps you installed i got 38 own installed apps and i rooted mine with no problems (v21b).
Edit: a factory default will not downgrade to early versions when you updated by FOTA or LG-Update tool. I bought my phone With v10b (rooted with superoneclick) later i did original update by FOTA to version v10e (Didn't lost root), Later i updated to version v21b. Do almost every month a factory reset and i never downgraded or lost root by doing that. Only all apps/contact/settings are deleted.
I have a similar problem.
tried to root my p920 with superoneclick and gingerbreak and none of them worked. the Superoneclick stoped at rooting device step #7. stayed there for an hour. I dont know the version of my firmwire ( those v10 or v20 stuff) because i dont know how to see it. Info of my p920 is gingerbread 2.3.5.
thks for helping
