In the dev section, their is a rom called OnceICS, to install it says "flash new firmware" (this apparently updates radios etc) my question is....whenever I flash a non ICS rom, then flash back to ICS, would I have to flash the "new firmware" everytime? Or once their updated....that's that?
Cheers

Hi,
The firmware, like the radio,is flashed, and then remains on the phone ,no matter what ROM you put on.
I work with ARHD ROMS ,and people who keep the firmware(and radio) updates from ICS,find that they work well with Gingerbread ROMS.
I would imagine it is the same for you.
Once you flash a firmware or radio update,it will stay on your phone until you change it.
It does not change, when you install a new ROM.

Did you flash a different kernel then the stock kernel that's in the rom?
First thing. Make sure you flash the firware upgrade PD58IMG.zip from bootloader. ICS firmware thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412618
that put your phone on the latest radio. then flash rom, that usually fixes the problem. I dont think the phone will boot with a different kernel flashed as there are no ICS custome kernels yet.

download the 1.17 firmware and flash it, then flash a radio like 10.58.
sorry, i have just found that i cannot upload my file to mediafire, dev-host, ul.to, or any other website like them...damn it.
i can upload now...
So as you may know that unofficialy Gingerbread ROMs are ... How To Unroot procedure for your device, you can use that to get back to stock.
http://www.mediafire.com/?t77d4xrf65154d2
just flash this like 3.24 firmware, then you will get 1.17 eng s-off & Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2

Yes you can restore a Nandroid backup of GB. Although you HAVE to have a compatible version of the Firmware and and appropriate Radio.
To make sure do a superwipe, certainly won't hurt.
Hi there,
This has been a weird reoccurring issue I have with my Sensation. Everytime I flash a sense 4.0 rom my phone keeps rebooting for about 10 minutes and never fully boots. I've tried 3 different roms and re downloaded them several times. So this is bbecoming annoying. All help is appreciated. I have hboot 1.18.00. 4ext touch recovery. Went from stock rom to sense 4.0. Phone keeps rebooting. Used revolutionary. Please help. Thanks.

You need to make sure you have the correct firmware.
Here is the latest firmware you need just follow the instrutions

Thanks

Yes if you do not have the correct firmware you will get boot looping. Ics or 4.0.3 Rom require 3.32 firmware, GB or gingerbread roms require a Different firmware. So if you want to run ICS please update to 3.32 firmware. This will solve the problem. However if you want to go back to GB for any reason the firmware must then be.changed Again. I have 3.32 so I just stay with ICS roms.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
You cannot flash firmware or radio if you are s-on.
Running a GB RUU will not work either.
You can flash ics and jb roms while you are s-on. Look for Asskicker's guide under general forum ("flashing roms with s-on..." )

I know how to flash roms im just trying to get back to gb.
Any rom that i flash that is based off the stock based 3.32 ruu sense 3.6 will not boot for some reason and i have seen other people have the same problem.
The juoponut bear s off requires to be on a stock based 3.32 ruu to be able to get s off
But the official 3.32 ruu should work right?

Hello everyone,
I recently bought HTC Sensation 4g (T-mobile) and it's already S-OFF, rooted (Superuser by ClockworkMod) and recovery is CWM 5.0.2.0 and it has stock rom Android 2.3.4. Recently, I got alerted about an update of 4.0.4 for my HTC then I downloaded it but can't install it so I guess it's because it's rooted. I really want to install 4.0.4 on my HTC sensation 4g then I searched up for roms until I found this rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654347
Now, my question is, how should I flash it? Should I normally just flash it via CWM or via odin? Or I will have to go back to stock recovery for flashing the rom that Steve0007 posted on the thread linked above. And just to confirm, is it compatible with my device?
Android: 2.3.4
HTC Sense: 3.0
Software number: 1.50.531.1
Thanks!

First upgrade your firmware to 3.33universal
Go to the development section and search for kohr-ah's thread
Follow the instructions carefully and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
After that you have to flash an ics or jellybean Rom because your current Rom won't boot with ics firmware
Edit:do not never use Odin for anything.it is not for sensation devices

Hey, just changed my mind, how about flashing another good custom ROM? Should I just flash custom ROM via CWM? 4.0.4 stock is way too hard and gonna take time.
