Hi,
You cannot flash firmware or radio if you are s-on.
Running a GB RUU will not work either.

You can flash ics and jb roms while you are s-on. Look for Asskicker's guide under general forum ("flashing roms with s-on..." )

I know how to flash roms im just trying to get back to gb.
Any rom that i flash that is based off the stock based 3.32 ruu sense 3.6 will not boot for some reason and i have seen other people have the same problem.
The juoponut bear s off requires to be on a stock based 3.32 ruu to be able to get s off
But the official 3.32 ruu should work right?

Hi there,
This has been a weird reoccurring issue I have with my Sensation. Everytime I flash a sense 4.0 rom my phone keeps rebooting for about 10 minutes and never fully boots. I've tried 3 different roms and re downloaded them several times. So this is bbecoming annoying. All help is appreciated. I have hboot 1.18.00. 4ext touch recovery. Went from stock rom to sense 4.0. Phone keeps rebooting. Used revolutionary. Please help. Thanks.

You need to make sure you have the correct firmware.
Here is the latest firmware you need just follow the instrutions

Thanks

Yes if you do not have the correct firmware you will get boot looping. Ics or 4.0.3 Rom require 3.32 firmware, GB or gingerbread roms require a Different firmware. So if you want to run ICS please update to 3.32 firmware. This will solve the problem. However if you want to go back to GB for any reason the firmware must then be.changed Again. I have 3.32 so I just stay with ICS roms.
Hope this helps.

Im having problems with my sensation xe beats audio, my phone is used, so it came with revolutionary hboot 1.17 and an asian stock rom, but no recovery, so i download some tools in a guide and install the recovery, root, and supercid, then try to install the newest firmware 3.32 and 3.33 and the phone start to bootloop (i almost s#$t my pants) so download another firmware 3.12, the phone boots fine, go back to bootloader and it sais LOCKED y pink S Off and hboot 1.23, so i dont know what im doing wrong or is that the phone needs to be unlocked to install 3.33 firmware?
With the phone locked but with S Off and HBoot 1.23 and recovery ext4 wich roms can i install? Wanted to install elegancia but without the new firmware cant go there.... And how can i find the stock rom that im using? Is from china i think, but i speak spanish and the rom is only english mandarin and cantonese... If someone can help me thx... Please excuse my bad english...

Do I need to upgrade my hboot?

I'm currently on rooted stock 2.3.5 (s-off) and would like to try some of the newer Jellybean roms. My hboot is 6.98.1002. Do I need a newer one such as 7.00.2002?
If so are there any specific issues with upgrading? I've looked and searched but doesn't seem to be much info on going from 6.98.1002 to 7.00.2002.
Thanks

Nope, u don't have to update. Unless u wanna go onto sense ROM. hboot 6.x is write protected and when booted into sense ROM, u will have a boot loop

It write protected from RUU. He can install any ROM that does not need separate lib partition. This means all existing except Official MIUI 4, the Stock one by Scanob and the test Desire XS RC1

Any news about sense 5
is this a full stock rom or do you need the ICS 2.35 RUU first before running this if you want to go back to stock? The DL is about 700 MB so I surely hope it's the whole thing otherwise, that's a bit bloated for an update...lol

Hi I have a quick question. Was there something about flashing this RUU that would break the S-off exploit? Meaning if we used this RUU, we would no longer be able to S-off?

I haven't heard of anything about that but I haven't really read much about it either. For me S-off isn't a big deal. it makes things more convenient but isn't necessary. Really only affects updating radios and blackbox partitions. As long as I got access to recovery and system, I'm fine.

I did not have to change my CID, I just relocked my boot loader first, after the RUU, I was still SOFF and SuperCID.

For me, I don't need to re-lock my BL since my CID is T-Mobile.. I just ran RUU and everything successfully plus i'm still S-off and my BL is still unlock After that I just fastboot flash recovery TWRPv2.3.3.0.img
I have superCID, s-off and unlocked boot loader and was able to run the RUU without any issues.
Is this a full Official ROM? What does this update provide? I cannot find any information on Tmobile.com for this update.

Mkinney88s ROM and my ROM have the same base as this RUU. This RUU is a bit older than the WWE ROMs that are out though...like ViperOneS...its based on 3.16, and the T-Mobile version is 3.14...but they are both JB...I suggest using the 3.16 bases unless you are T-Mobile US.

Im with TMO USA. The WWE roms caused some 3G issues all the time, I do my best to stay away from the WWE roms at this point. Thanks for the info!
