Is that a joke?!
Are you saying that W8 can run on Sensation?!

What do you think

Why don't you drop your phone in a bucket of water?
Afterwards it will work better then with Windows...

lol so naive ^^'
you looked so serious !

Well after blowdrying my sensation windows 7 runs like a breeze.
So maybe some Windows 8 drivers in the washing machine and who knows

They are releasing an Arm version of Windows 8 for tablets so I can't see why a version of Win 8 can't be ran on our sensations. Probably will happen in some form or another.

Whoop de doo, cos Microsoft are just so good at making a Phone OS

Well I got iOS onto mine using a guide someone posted a month or so back, so if that works, I don't see why Windows 8 won't be possible!

well technically W8 kernel should run on washing machine too, i'm serious

Windows 8 is designed for big screens like pc and tablet ( ok I know tablet screens aren't that big) but they are bigger than sensations screen and I think it would not run too well as a phone OS and as ziggy said, MS aren't good at creating a phone OS

Convert HTC EVO to windows mobile 6.5

Is there a way I can convert a HTC EVO to run on windows mobile 6.5? I don't like the andriod OS and currently have Sprint.
It's highly doubtful you will see this, and if you do.. It's going to be awhile.
I will have to stick with the HTC touch pro 2 for now

Given all the problems I've been having with Android in just the first 2 days, I'd be interested in this option as well.

Installing Windows Phone 7 on Android Phones?

Hi everyone,
I am really curious to know if it is possible to install WP7 on Android phones?
Thanks.

No..
This is the first time I will say this but, if you really like Windows Phone 7, sell your Android device and get a Widows Phone 7 device. Best choice you can make
Yes. If not.... can someone enlighten me?
It will just take a lot of work and won't be near feasible to even support. Cellphone adoption rate says its better to just go buy the phone.

It's technically possible if the phone is using a Snapdragon processor, but so far no one has figure out how to hack the Windows Phone bootloader onto those devices.
So no or at least not currently.
No, because wp7 and android uses another hardware.

You meant to attach any link?
i belive it's called launcher 7, it's ok but not great. So far the only device that has had the WP7 OS ported to it has been the HD2 because 1.) it had a partial internal build from HTC, and 2.) the HD2 has probably the largest community support of any device aside from the iPhone.
Thanks for your quick response.
I do think the OP asked about OS not theme
So from what I understand my Galaxy ain't gonna eat WP7 and that's something that's neva gonna happen.

Thank God, who wants Android on a Windows Phone Device anyway. I guess if you want it to run sluggish and drain your battery in less than two hours then why not.
Well, today I received the newsletter from a prestigious portuguese store (fnac.pt for the portuguese guys in here) and they have a new product, one I bet you've never heard of:
I wonder if it can be upgraded to ICS

Windows 8 RT?

Hi,
do you think it will be possible to install windows 8 RT (windows 8 arm processors version) like new Samsung Ativ?
Is there some dev interested to do this?
No... You're asking to install ios on android or vice versa... No drivers and different file structures, not to mention hardware difference, don't allow us to run win8 on an android device. This question has been asked since the galaxy tab7" gen 1 (and win 7) came out. I haven't seen it on that yet and that device is quite a few years old now...
Why would you want to? I see no true advantage by doing this.

If Samsung makes Ativ tablet with arm processor and windows 8 RT somebody can prefer it to android!
I love Android but i'd like to try Windows 8 RT, i repeat RT, on my GNote 10.1.
I don't think to be the only one
Me, I would also like to test it.
And to be honest: things like this is why we are here,or am I wrong?

Any discussion on this is futile. Microsoft has already made it clear that it will only make Win 8 RT available to OEM's.

Thanks for sharing man, love to hear it -__-
Nah but to the point: it really depends on the style you like, imo, windows 8 is a bit smoother, and the boottime is way better, but not a lot op people are good enough with computers to use windows8, so it isn't recommended for grandpa's and such.

Win7 vs. Win8 is like trying to compare a Volkswagen to a Yugo
^^^^^^^^^^^^
You can run the same programs as you can on windows 7. (i'm running the release preview, and i can run everything, even games.)
windows 8 is windows 7 but with more features.
How does it work when flashing roms on galaxy s3, galaxy nexus, nexus 4...also running toolkits, and Odin....i flash alot of roms, root amd repair software issues on samsungs using Odin...will this be an issue on win8....windows was flawless for everything....just don't want to get windows and then have issues with drivers and etc...
Sent from my RM-820_nam_att_100 using Board Express
I cant tell you how it would be for flashing etc.
but i can tell you that windows 8 is a blast ( the positive way )
- As soon as you get to know it you really love it, there is a couple of things that annoys me about it, but there is also things in windows 7 and linux mint i dislike, it cant be perfect..
if you ask me, go for it.. and if you get sick of windows 8 look alike style you can " disable " it with a program called " start 8 "
OR you can do as i do, combine the two.. im running the windows 7 look, but i still have the metro apps, that i can run if i like to do that ..
So from the usage point, yes.. windows 8 is waaay better and so much smoother, faster and allaround just better..
People who dislike it has used it for 10 minutes, have read alot of hate on it and joined the crowd..
Hope it helped
Thanks so much for your feedback....good stuff

Windows 8 is very clean and quick..
I have an alienware laptop.. and its very snappy..
Windows 8
I have been using windows 8 since last 2 months. I feel that user interface is clean. But there are some issues which i defiantly taken care of in for there updates . If your are a naive user than you might find windows 8 very irritating. BTW there is lot to explore in Win 8 ! :fingers-crossed:
Another thing to consider is that if you get a windows 8 machine and later decide you don't like it you are legally entitled to downgrade to windows 7. Check out the link on Microsoft's site: http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/licensing/sblicensing/pages/downgrade_rights.aspx
Not sure how easy this will be to do, but it's something to consider.
have you thought about having two operating systems?i think you should consider this option.win 8 is faster than 7.but you may find problems with drivers.good luck.
windows is far more better than windows 7 provided u have sufficient RAM coz win 8 just sucks up the RAM as far as i know
Most of the apps are not working for windows 8 but it is faster compared to windows 7. if u want to run the apps which are useful for android. some might not be into market which runs on windows 8.
From my own experience windows 8 boots very very fast (tested with normal HDD) Thats a great advantage! Tho I really dislike the metro interface, thats why I went back to windows 7.
Every second Windows system was the best in my opinion..
like first Windows xp then windows 7..
the others in between was bad..
So its just my opinion but i guess windows 8 is just good for tablets..
Windows 7 is perfect so far.. It aint too complicated.
