The greatest launcher, without any doubts ! thanks!

I'm using Go Launcher, but I'm sticking to 2.60 since that's the last one that returns to your home screen when you exit an app. I really don't like the way the newer versions return to the app drawer instead. Why this change wasn't made optional, I really don't understand

I think that's a tipical return, if you open an app from app drawer, when you press the back key to exit, it back from where the application was opened, instead of press back key, just press home key .

The behaviour used to be different and I preferred it that way. I usually want to actually exit an app, rather than leave it running in the background. It means that next time I start the app, it starts at its 'start page' rather than where I last left it running.
I'm not trying to say everyone should do it my way (although I'm not the only one who has complained about the change) - I am surprised it wasn't made an option. This is perhaps the most customisable launcher out there. I can choose from a million different transitions, separately for vertical app drawer, horizontal app drawer and home screens; I can choose what kind of home screen indicators I have, and whether they should fade out; I can configure 2 different actions for each dock icon, and choose a different icon for each. So it's really surprising that this change was made without providing the option for the old behaviour.

why is the title 'FINAL'? according to the website, theres another version coming.

My favorite launcher.
However, the sphere and cilinder transition effect for the homescreen(not the appdrawer) is very laggy on my galaxy s2 while it is smooth on the older galaxy s. Howcome?
And sometimes the appdrawer icon on the dock doesn't response.

How are the apps sorted in folders? They seem almost completely random to me. I thought it was order that you add them but I add new apps to the folder and they wind up in the middle of the folder.
It would be nice if they could be sorted in alphabetical order.

i am using adw , who can tells what differences between them?

There is a app draw shaped like N1' app draw in aHome. It's in the right bottom. aHome supports the third party widgets.
Suggestions are highly appreciated.
Great home launcher. Would love to have some more customization options
i liked the iphone style but the app drawer is so slow it hurts the eyes .... the transition between home screens its ok.
you got to start building caches of the drawer and the screens just like in launcher pro so you guys can get a smoother effect.
I liked a lot of the transition effect when i open one app 5*.
It force closes on X10 & makes phone restart everytime
Which Androoid OS version are you running on ? Is there a wait option with the force close? If so it's seems a slowness problem. Please tell more details.

Very nice launcher
found only one bug: the shortcut for email (on the bottom) seems not to work with htc sense, since the app name is not the same

It's slow at first, but after about a minute, it is really smooth on my Xperia X10. Everything seems to have a 'high-quality' about it, and isn't just high-res.
I think it will become very popular if you increase the startup speed, by using a cache for app icons and screen contents.
Thanks for allowing us to beta-test!
EDIT: It restarts my phone sometimes too, when you try to unlock the phone... (This could just be beautiful widgets though.)
beautiful.
but you really should save the position in the app drawer. also, the drawer is a bit slow, even on the Galaxy S.
the zoom out on double press of the home button like launcher pro has is nice, or at least show the same mini desktops as you do when you hold the app drawer icon.
and please add support for scrollable widgets
HunteronX, it's not Beautiful Widgets, because i don't use Beautiful Widgets, but has the same problem Actually i want to use this home launcher, it's smoother & has a great look
And To Dev, I tried again aHome launcher, and after sometime when i took out mobile from my pocket, it was restarted (had to use pin code). Then after some time, when i was using mobile, aHome force closed & yes i had "Wait" option also. But then again it forced closed, and this i had not "Wait" option.
Ok, aHome a option to change wallpaper automatically. I've turned the option off, but it still change wallpaper to its own wallpaper, the green one. And i think, I THINK (i'm not sure), phone restarts when it changes wallpaper :-/
theres no landscape mode ? this is realy annoying !

Its there a way to put all the apps in the app drawer in alphabetical order? Mine is for the most part, but some of my apps aren't in order.

Decided to unfreeze Go Launcher today after LauncherPro got stuck in an FC loop on me. I gotta say, this launcher is coming along really well since I last played with it a few weeks ago. With scrolling and resizable widget support now implemented, it's at a point I'm going to try it as my main launcher.
So far I like the speed and polish.
My only issue thus far is that when switching to landscape mode with a 5x4 layout, the widgets tend to overlap each other a bit. LauncherPro has managed to correct this, but Go Launcher does redraw the layout switch much faster.
-edit-
One other thing I've noticed: if I long-press the menu button to bring up the search screen, Go Launcher crams all the widgets from the current screen (including the dock) into the half-screen space visible above the keyboard (using HTC_IME), and I can't get the search textbox to actually appear in order to perform a search.
This launcher is ok but lags sometimes on the app drawer I have now started using adw launcher ex my God it is so good.
An excellent one, except for the fact that it doesn't have its own widgets (Messages, Mail, Facebook, People, and Twitter), unlike LauncherPro.
I'm running them both now, hopefully the op does include these in the next update.
Edit: Some snapshot to illustrate what I'm talking about.
but can u change the Dock to custom docks besides the 2 options it gives
Sorry if this is already included but I have a suggestion.
Ive always though a great idea for a launcher would be some sort of interoperated system to separate games and apps from each other.
Maybe a left swipe would bring up your games selection and right would bring up your apps.
Now I know you can do this manually by adding the icons to the left and right panels of a launcher but some sort of system for adding them upon installation would be good also.
I like it, would be nice if the "icon pop-up menu" could be assigned to a swipe movement as well as long press does'nt work all that well on all phones.
And I for one likes that it does'nt have a bunch of bloat such as widgets.
Direct uninstalling from appdrawer like the TouchWiz launcher from Samsung does would be cool.
Of course it would acquire root..
cant wait to try this!
Tried it today, I think it's a launcher with loads of potential. If this can turn out to be the MIUI experience in a launcher app it will be awesome. Just some suggestions for going in that way:
- App icons in uniform shapes, this is wat MIUI does: Take the app icon, and put it in a nice rounded shape automatically. It creates the iPhone effect and it looks great. May be hard to realize in a launcher.
- Grid placement of widgets and apps: In MIUI, you get to see a grid on each homescreen so you have an idea of where the app/widget is placed, not just somewhere on that screen.
- apps always on homescreen: Again, very much iPhone-like. Apps will be placed on the homescreen after install and can't be removed. No app drawer is needed.
Of course, all these things should be able to get turned on/off in the preferences section. Again, this app has so much potential, try to get some inspiration from sense, iphone and MIUI!
Looking forward to hearing from you
Yeah I like that idea, and maybe after installation of a app you get to choose if it was a app or a game and then it assigns it to a specified section of launcher
Just installed it on my Unlocked Streak with Froyo. Working very good till now.
When you set the app drawer to vertical scrolling it's way smoother then horizontal imo, been using this for the past two weeks.
I just started playing around with this and the only thing that I can suggest is Widget Overlapping. It isn't extremely useful for many widgets, but is nice to have...especially for SiMi Clock Widget.
Edit*
Also some way to Export/Import settings. It would be helpful for those of us that like to try different setups without having to redo everything.
Hi,
I installed the launcher on my Galaxy S. I't a great app until now, it has almoust all the cool things from launcher pro and plenty of extra cool things.
My request and probably many other users too is a backup/restore feature. I hate to spend hours to customize my homescreens and app folders and after a ROM reinstall to have to do it again (I have an android blog and I have to reintall the phone many times to test roms and make reviews).
Thanks

Yup. please think about this option. Really needed.
Works perfectly on KaosFroyo v38 w HTC Eris phone
The only issue I see besides backup of settings is the long time to load when adding a shortcut to the dock or the window screen... but that happens on Launcher Pro as well.... :| why not load the App Drawer instead or something? [yes, the faster method is currently going into App Drawer and dragging a few times to the screen.] or have an option to disable it as sometimes we do hard press accidentally [or when lag appears]
Looking Good!
Also like the Task Killer built in to App Drawer. Resizing Widgets works exceptionally well (feature supported free as well!).
Very similar to LP in many respects.
Only negative, I could not seem to use a Custom Dock!
(perhaps I overlooked something here in my brief usage).
Well done to the developer.

ADW Launcher 2 (Pre-Alpha)

When you are on a home screen and long press on a widget, you now see more options than before including shortcuts to the Application info and Market pages for the app. You can also quickly set up custom shortcuts using ADW’s menus rather than the standard Android process.
New app drawer functions on long press:
These new app drawer functions are probably the most impressive. You can now long press on apps from within the drawer to see a variety of options, giving you more control over the look and feel. You can also add folders directly in, plus a bunch of other shortcuts. After playing with the new app drawer for 30 seconds, you see how amazing these new tweaks will be once this thing gets fine-tuned and is ready for release.

wow I am surprised this is thread isn't getting attention. with so many ADW users I'm surprised I had to stumble upon the beta 2 version. I have been looking forward to a skinnable app drawer launcher for sooooo long and I love ADW.
many people like Adw but as a launcher it does not have anything special. Lets say similar to Go launcher.
Adw has only cosmetic things. None of them are usefull very much.

I disagree with that statement..
second Hidden dock
adjustable column rows
drag and drop apps to the dockbar
probably more that i can't think of on the top of my head..
and to whoever said something about the dockbar background.. if you purchase ADW Ex it offers that feature to easily switch out the dockbar bg :x
Go Launcher is good don't get me wrong, (currently using it) just that only reason I'm not on ADW is cause my theme just works too well to not have the ability to have a looping theme.
with Go launcher:
* you can kill applications
* you can hide icons
* you can uninstall
* you can create folders
* it has built-in task manager
* it has built-in recent
from straight app-drawer.
Adw has none of these. But it has many dock backgrounds, themes, fancy colors...etc.
You decide?

With froyo .. you don't need to KILL any applications..
you can hide icons in ADW by creating categories.. and you don't need to go to a menu to make them show when you "hide" them..
you can uninstall apps from adw by holding them to the trashcan..
you can't have folders in the app drawer in adw but like i said before.. categories..
You can always access recent apps by holding the home button.. which I have always done.
As I've said.. Go Launcher is a GREAT launcher.. but don't cast out ADW that easily..

Uninstallig apps works the same way in go launcher, furthermore, you can also uninstall them directly in the drawer.
Accessing recent apps pressing the home button works as well, however, there also is a category for that in the drawer.
Don't get me wrong - I love adw and have been using it for month, but go launcher is really awesome as well.

I use it this way: the regular dock only has one button which opens the app drawer.
When I swipe my finger up the screen, the hidden dock appears containing all the docks apps.
I like that because it prevents me from accidently starting apps.

Can someone tell me how the hidden dock is supposed to work? I have checked it, but don't know how to call/invoke it.

You choose open/close dock as swipe up action and when the dock is closed you drop apps on the bottom part of the screen.
Hope that helps.

Features
1.Distinctive layout design brings unique visual experience
Widget area and icon area are independently laid out. A variety of widgets can be found in the widget area, including OneKey Clean Clock widget, user feedback widget, etc.; the icon area can be displayed in full screen or hidden depending on your choices that you make.
2.Practical and intelligent category management
Without adopting App Mate, Hi Launcher classifies apps automatically, enabling easier and more efficient search.
3.Rich and colorful themes
Hi Launcher offers stunning visual effects through its rich and colorful themes. A wide array of wallpapers and widget skins are available, making your mobile phone interface look more appealing. And partial interface is changeable and customizable, making your mobile phone more trendy and attractive.
4.Collective and unified shortcuts
Powerful OneKey shortcut design, shortcut tools, shortcut contacts, etc. You’ll enter a big world only with just a tap on the screen.
5.WYSIWYG icon customization
Users are allowed to change icons freely. The icon masks will even make every detail on your mobile phone desktop shine with personality and appeal

Very nice launcher.

Theme Template/Source
hi, do you have a theme template or theme source code i can get hold of to start doing themes for your launcher ?
thanks
Markyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Hi Launcher.... that reminds me of my Palm time, where i used a launcher with the same name. Anyway it is a nice launcher, just have to find out if
1 if i can hide the notification bar
2 if there is folder support to store apps
3 if it supports notifications for new messages, missed phone calls, new email
The cities for the weather are very few, it should have the option to choose other weather services with more cities. Seems also that applying themes for the weather widget does not work.
I like it!

Screenshots please
Force closed the first few tries. but works.. will run it around
-Very Smooth
-Needs loop widget area scroll feature
-Reorder apps automatically by name

More remarks:
Looks like the notification bar cannot be hidden, at least i have not found how.
There is no built in folder support lik many other launchers where you can drop icons on top of others to create folders. Personally i like folders much better then the used groups.
The dock at the bottom cannot be customized, i would like to put some other app shortcuts in there, also a slidable dock would be nice, to be able to accomodate more often used app.

I have 3 dock bars going. On the dock bar, while you can't change the main 5, if you have different messaging, dialer, or browser apps, you long press and you can switch from say the stock messaging to a downloaded messaging app.
I'd like to be able to create more folder sections. So favorites, Apps, Games, System, Newest, Times, Add I thought the add would create a new folder (say like a multimedia folder) but it drops in chosen apps from a list.
So I'd like to see it able to resize widgets, change the main first five dock icons, make new folders and rearrange their order. And maybe this is stupid but I'd like to be able to slide the folder area up rather than click and it pops up. It slides down...I'd like it to slide up.
New folder creation and arranging their order ,no problem.widget resizing still not available. Main dockbar icons change not possible, but selection of downloaded apps instead of stock one possible.

New 1.1 version.
HTC android 2.3.5
I like this launcher.
Anyone tried the latest Hi Launcher v1.8 with Samsung Galaxy S III with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1?
It says "Unfortunately, Hi Launcher has stopped".
Uninstall and re-install doesn't work.
Anyone have the same problem?

Downloading now I'll get back to you on what I think about it
Edit:I like it's simplistic nature and the vertical scrolling, I just wish there was a way to setup widgets maybe underneath the weather or something. Still very nice for a launcher

Same here. I cannot get past the wizard as the second screen just stays blank with no way to proceed or skip the wizard entirely.

Edit2: nope, the wizard keeps popping up when I use the app. Is there any way to stop that? I can't use the app right now

Try to disable everything into the wizard (shortcuts and weather). If you can, please do a screenshot. I'm actually creating the skip button on wizard. Thank you for your report!

Just to make sure: It's the wizard itself that's acting up, not the launcher. At least in my case.
If I press "Home" while in the wizard, I can go to the home screen and go into the settings from there. I managed to diable wheather, but when I go into "Shortcuts" of "Hidden Apps" (-> I assume you made a mistake there as the menu is called "Hided Apps" ), the Wizard comnes right back.
I cannot post a screenshot of the wizard right now, but there isn't really much to show anyway: It's really just a completely white page.
Looking forward to future versions. :good:
Tested this launcher and i want to say i LOVE it. Still missing here and there and hopefully this launcher will turn out great and awesome because this launcher is very minimalist, all on front, and easy. Feel like having an android married with iphone. But for now i will stick with stock cm11 launcher. Definitely will be my daily launcher after become more stable. Thumbs up and cheers and best of luck

Hello dev. I am on a Droid Razr Maxx HD, stock 4.4.2, no customization at all. I cannot get past the Wizard screen. I need to force close the app in order to exit. I am dying to try the launcher, this is exactly what I have been looking for from the description. What can I do to help you trouble shoot?
Thanks for this, ill try
I'd also like to see a few swipe features. Give us the ability to swipe left, right, and up. For example: if I swipe left, I can open google now. Swipe right I can open Blinkfeed, and swipe up to open camera. Let us customize what the swipe actions do. That would make this launcher awesome imo.
Also, add the ability to put widgets in the scroll area.
This launcher is great! It's so simple I love it. There are two things I would love if you could add:
1) I would like to replace the clock with one of my clock widgets of my own, I would love to be able to do that.
2) It would be nice if we could access some of our widgets by swiping to the right or to the left. Say, I make a swipe to left and I access my frequently dialed contacts, calendar, etc. Please add widget support.
Also, I don't know why, but if I add Google Camera (for 4.4) as a shortcut, it also adds the stock camera app of the phone. If I hide one of the two camera apps, the two of them are hidden as well. Other than that, everything is incredible. Keep on the goo work!
