Theme Template/Source
hi, do you have a theme template or theme source code i can get hold of to start doing themes for your launcher ?
thanks
Markyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Hi Launcher.... that reminds me of my Palm time, where i used a launcher with the same name. Anyway it is a nice launcher, just have to find out if
1 if i can hide the notification bar
2 if there is folder support to store apps
3 if it supports notifications for new messages, missed phone calls, new email
The cities for the weather are very few, it should have the option to choose other weather services with more cities. Seems also that applying themes for the weather widget does not work.
I like it!

Force closed the first few tries. but works.. will run it around
-Very Smooth
-Needs loop widget area scroll feature
-Reorder apps automatically by name

More remarks:
Looks like the notification bar cannot be hidden, at least i have not found how.
There is no built in folder support lik many other launchers where you can drop icons on top of others to create folders. Personally i like folders much better then the used groups.
The dock at the bottom cannot be customized, i would like to put some other app shortcuts in there, also a slidable dock would be nice, to be able to accomodate more often used app.

I have 3 dock bars going. On the dock bar, while you can't change the main 5, if you have different messaging, dialer, or browser apps, you long press and you can switch from say the stock messaging to a downloaded messaging app.
I'd like to be able to create more folder sections. So favorites, Apps, Games, System, Newest, Times, Add I thought the add would create a new folder (say like a multimedia folder) but it drops in chosen apps from a list.
So I'd like to see it able to resize widgets, change the main first five dock icons, make new folders and rearrange their order. And maybe this is stupid but I'd like to be able to slide the folder area up rather than click and it pops up. It slides down...I'd like it to slide up.
New folder creation and arranging their order ,no problem.widget resizing still not available. Main dockbar icons change not possible, but selection of downloaded apps instead of stock one possible.

HTC android 2.3.5
I like this launcher.
Anyone tried the latest Hi Launcher v1.8 with Samsung Galaxy S III with Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1?
It says "Unfortunately, Hi Launcher has stopped".
Uninstall and re-install doesn't work.
Anyone have the same problem?

There is a app draw shaped like N1' app draw in aHome. It's in the right bottom. aHome supports the third party widgets.
Suggestions are highly appreciated.
Great home launcher. Would love to have some more customization options
i liked the iphone style but the app drawer is so slow it hurts the eyes .... the transition between home screens its ok.
you got to start building caches of the drawer and the screens just like in launcher pro so you guys can get a smoother effect.
I liked a lot of the transition effect when i open one app 5*.
It force closes on X10 & makes phone restart everytime
Which Androoid OS version are you running on ? Is there a wait option with the force close? If so it's seems a slowness problem. Please tell more details.

It's slow at first, but after about a minute, it is really smooth on my Xperia X10. Everything seems to have a 'high-quality' about it, and isn't just high-res.
I think it will become very popular if you increase the startup speed, by using a cache for app icons and screen contents.
Thanks for allowing us to beta-test!
EDIT: It restarts my phone sometimes too, when you try to unlock the phone... (This could just be beautiful widgets though.)
beautiful.
but you really should save the position in the app drawer. also, the drawer is a bit slow, even on the Galaxy S.
the zoom out on double press of the home button like launcher pro has is nice, or at least show the same mini desktops as you do when you hold the app drawer icon.
and please add support for scrollable widgets
HunteronX, it's not Beautiful Widgets, because i don't use Beautiful Widgets, but has the same problem Actually i want to use this home launcher, it's smoother & has a great look
And To Dev, I tried again aHome launcher, and after sometime when i took out mobile from my pocket, it was restarted (had to use pin code). Then after some time, when i was using mobile, aHome force closed & yes i had "Wait" option also. But then again it forced closed, and this i had not "Wait" option.
Ok, aHome a option to change wallpaper automatically. I've turned the option off, but it still change wallpaper to its own wallpaper, the green one. And i think, I THINK (i'm not sure), phone restarts when it changes wallpaper :-/
theres no landscape mode ? this is realy annoying !

I might be late to the party but here we go anyway:
HTC Evo: Invisible App Launchers (Ninja Apps)
The Video Tutorial:
The Text / Image Tutorial:
What you will need:
- An HTC Evo (probably works on other phones, but I don't care about other phones)
- A Custom Launcher Program (Launcher Pro & ADW EX are what I have found this to work on)
- A Transparent Icon (You can download this one)
- A Wallpaper With App Images built into it (You can use this one)
The process:
Here we have our main screen...you guys are lucky I just switched to the cm7 RC1 and did a full wipe otherwise you might have had to wait for the apk release.

}
Basics first, we need to switch to a wallpaper that has App images designed into it...the one I have is really nice but there are others out there. Look.
After that we will switch to the first screen we will be adding our hidden launchers too. On this screen you will long press to bring up the "Add To Home Screen" selector. Select the "Custom Shortcut" and then choose "Pick Your Activity." From the next screen you choose what kind of Activity you want, an Application, Music Playlist, etc...After making your selection. Choose ok and your launching icon will be added.
Repeat the above step until your icons cover the launching area of your desire. You can go into ADW or Launcher Pro settings and edit the number of columns and rows on the screen. This will help somewhat with making icons cover the icon area from the wallpaper. For mine I left it at 6 rows and 4 columns.
After all your icons in place it is now time to make them transparent...Long press over the icon and in ADW you will select "Edit." press the icon in the edit screen and choose the transparent icon you downloaded earlier in the tutorial. Repeat this process until all of your icons are transparent.
YOU'RE DONE...
Some tidbits and problems you may run into:
- They are kind of invisible but I still see the icon text... You need to go into the settings for your Launcher Program and select "Hide icon Labels."
- I can't get the icons to fit right over the images... This is not an exact process and will requires some trial and error, as well as, tinkering on your part. Some things you can adjust to help this: Adjust your wallpaper to different sizes and display areas, Adjust the amount of columns and rows displayed on your screens.
- Where can I find more wallpapers like this? My best advise is to look on the internet, it's how I cam across it. I do make custom wallpapers, but, they are not free ($1.99) donations.
If you have any more questions please post them and I will address them as timely as I can.
this is awesome thanx
Umm, there's nothing new about this. Lots of people have posted themes that use this method. I've been doing this since last summer. This might be useful as a tutorial on the basic setup of this method. Also, of course it will work on any phone. What is the apk file going to do? Maybe I'm missing something...
great
Wow! I hadn't heard of this before, but i love the idea and the tutorial. THANKS!!! I'm gonna have to scour for more wallpapers. Is there anyway to take the wallpaper you have in a layered version and remove a few of the images and swap in a few of my own?? ex. i would take out the facebook logo and put a cartoon pic of my wife/kids for my quick dial apks. etc... anyway, thanks for the heads up!!
adam
EDIT: btw, what widget are you using on the wallpaper that show the 4 day weather icons? (or what widget and theme or icon pack)...thanks in advance
I have been looking for other wallpapers with app images built in and no luck. Any suggestions?

Wouldn't the definition of a donation be giving to a public and/or charitable cause? You aren't offering the wallpapers for free to the community, then allowing people to donate to your cause. If that isn't the case, it sounds like you are charging for a service, not encouraging a donation? Unless you plan on offering the wallpapers to all once the initial request for a custom donation inspired wallpaper is received?

I've been looking also for something like this for quite some time also, as I've been using the blank icons with wallpapers to some extent already, just not all over. Just along the edge like this:
The full setup is attached in the Scrolling 2.0 Theme in my sig which also has links on how to set it up from the original author. I also created some wallpapers other than the honeycomb one. PM me if if you would like to check them out.
Its hard to locate wallpapers with the icons pictures built in as I'm not sure what to search for exactly or what the "official" name of this type of wallpaper/setup is.

I could be wrong about what he's using, but you can achieve the 4 day weather forecast like that with the Beautiful Widget's Beautiful Weather Widget. You just need to download that skin, and then disable todays current weather.
I achieved the same widget look using the Beautiful Weather Widget in the screenshot above. Just changing the skin (the skin you would be looking for to achieve that effect is called BrushedInk&Black), hiding the background, and hiding the current weather. Beautiful Widgets is a paid app, but its worth it for the couple bucks it costs, it looks great and is highly customizable.

I'm using Go Launcher, but I'm sticking to 2.60 since that's the last one that returns to your home screen when you exit an app. I really don't like the way the newer versions return to the app drawer instead. Why this change wasn't made optional, I really don't understand

I think that's a tipical return, if you open an app from app drawer, when you press the back key to exit, it back from where the application was opened, instead of press back key, just press home key .

Thanks for replying
The behaviour used to be different and I preferred it that way. I usually want to actually exit an app, rather than leave it running in the background. It means that next time I start the app, it starts at its 'start page' rather than where I last left it running.
I'm not trying to say everyone should do it my way (although I'm not the only one who has complained about the change) - I am surprised it wasn't made an option. This is perhaps the most customisable launcher out there. I can choose from a million different transitions, separately for vertical app drawer, horizontal app drawer and home screens; I can choose what kind of home screen indicators I have, and whether they should fade out; I can configure 2 different actions for each dock icon, and choose a different icon for each. So it's really surprising that this change was made without providing the option for the old behaviour.
why is the title 'FINAL'? according to the website, theres another version coming.
My favorite launcher.
However, the sphere and cilinder transition effect for the homescreen(not the appdrawer) is very laggy on my galaxy s2 while it is smooth on the older galaxy s. Howcome?
And sometimes the appdrawer icon on the dock doesn't response.
How are the apps sorted in folders? They seem almost completely random to me. I thought it was order that you add them but I add new apps to the folder and they wind up in the middle of the folder.
It would be nice if they could be sorted in alphabetical order.
i am using adw , who can tells what differences between them?

I agree, this is by far the most feature packed launcher with features I'll actually use. Maybe add icon share option?

+2 app drawer is iffy. I love this though, instantly replaced Apex for me. And the sharing is amazing

Currently running Atom Launcher and its by far the least demanding on the system, i.e not draining on the battery or heavy on the ram consumption. That being said, my question is how demanding of a launcher is this?

Really good launcher so far. I'm running in to flicker issues with the status bar when toggling the status bar using a custom desktop action icon, and some lag when using the app drawer. Really excited to see this take off.
I have been going on and on about this launcher's potential. This is the real deal. I do agree with the comment on the app drawer, it kind of reminds me of the one on chameleon and is maybe the least fluid part of the experience. Performs way past any expectations i have from a beta and has a unique level of polish for a launcher. Runs very well on my n4 but I plan on testing it on my galaxy s2 later to see if it can run without crushing what's left of its spirit. Keep up the great work!

There is an annoying lag when swiping home screen to left/right, the others are perfect except the drawer
Ok. I'm tested it and:
1. App dawer is to... standard
2. I wana see other app like lockscreen

Launcher X is an elegant replacement of your stock home screen. it mainly focuses on being an All in One Launcher so that all the customisation & features of your favourite launcher(s) come under one roof without compromising smoothness and memory! This is a next gen launcher which eases your experience with the user interface through unlimited customisation, your only limit is your imagination.
•Unlimited Customisation. customise each & every part of your home screen, from app icon size to grid & sub-grid sizing.all this with stock android launcher essence intact as launcher X is developed upon AOSP launcher 3.
•Introducing Swipes! swipes are a great way for app or widget shortcuts. they are hybrid of shutters and icon gestures. with just a swipe up/down of desktop & dock apps, you can go to any app, shortcuts, launcher actions and widgets(shutters).widget swipe is indicated as a rectangle where as apps, shortcuts, launcher actions are indicated as a triangle.
•Color Extraction. with color extraction ability of launcher X (thanks to google’s color extraction api) persistent search bar, status bar, quick drawer, app drawer, sidebar, folder background will be coloured based on your wallpaper. it does not stop there! you can choose vibrant, muted, light muted, dark vibrant, dark muted variants of the color or you can just select any color you want for your layout from color picker.
•Scroll Effects. Tens of great scroll effects for desktop and app drawer pages.
•Swipe back to desktop just like Google Now Launcher. Swipe right from left most desktop page to any app you want and then you can swipe back to desktop as seamlessly as google now launcher .thanks to touch listener. pro here is, you can swipe to any app, not just google now.
•Group and Hide apps. Avoid messy app drawer by creating app drawer folders or by creating extra drawer tabs as you’d like to group your apps. Or hide them completely.
•Gestures. Pinch, Swipe, Two finger swipe, rotate, double tap.
•Unique Transition Animations (animation of opening/closing app drawer) get blown with crystal, bubble and glow wave transition animations every time you open your app drawer.
•Dock Style. customise your dock with different styles and get the look of a PC. you can also change the background colour of dock or you can just put a picture you like as dock background.
•Unread Counts. with highly customisable unread count badges, you can keep track of your unread notifications. launcher x supports unread counts for messages, missed calls, hangouts, whatsapp, gmail, email.
•Material Design. Fully Material designed,Launcher X is the best launcher in material design era!
•Unique Drawer Transition effects. All new animations for that extra edgy look for your device! In a brand new Launcher that has been designed with you, the user, in mind, we bring you the latest, great and most innovative animations that you'll ever experience in your device!transitions like Crystal, Glow wave, bubble, etc. are all present here, so you'll never get bored!
•Weather effects on desktop. Apply great weather effects on your home screen which mingles with wallpaper and app icons.
NOTE: weather effects will not change according to real-time weather.
•Custom Grid size in Desktop and App drawer. Desktop also supports sub-grid system.
•Customisable rows and columns in desktop and drawer
•Scrollable Dock (with infinite scroll)
•Widgets in dock.
•Icon themes.
•Keep all your favorite apps on the dock, with up to 7 icons per page and up to 3 pages.
•Import layout. Nova launcher and Action launcher 3 users can import their existing layout to launcher X instantly!
•Folder customisability including its transition animation while opening
•Backup/Restore your layouts at anytime in advanced settings
Note: Some features require the Prime in-app upgrade.
Hope you enjoy Launcher X. looking forward to your feedback!

Your launcher is taking too much RAM!! Fix this issue! Many time I am getting force stops. Launcher is bit laggy. Fix these issues.
Thanks
Good work, but If you make more than 50% of the features premium, which also mostly avaliable on Nova launcher, I am not going to buy it. Sorry..

Then don't look at Action Launcher 3. Basically every good feature is premium...

Added to Wishlist... hopefully prices comes down soon.
Wow, this launcher is amazing! :highfive:
I can even set drawer grids to 10x9 and still looks (almost) ok.
Can I make a request?
If it's possible, can you add another option to 'Dock'/'Icons'/'Dock Icons Number' to be able to select 8 Dock icons? :fingers-crossed:
Nice, looks very promising. I'm a Nova launcher old user and though i find this intuitive and kinda fresh. I would like to try all it's features but it's kinda expensive for this beta stage and features that are available in other launchers at lower prices. Well, i'm looking forward to try this if PRO will be provided at lower price or more unique features are added.
Keep up the good work!
Cheers,
Alka

awesome and perfect launcher :good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good::laugh:
How does the bind weather effect work? Is there a setting to set your current location? My location service is on of course. Doesnt seem to work. Also, you cant add any contact widgets. The icons disappear after 1 minute and the launcher crashes. This is a huge negative as I need my direct contacts on a daily basis. I paid for prime so I hope it will get all sorted out soon. Thanks!
Any chance we could get a trail version of the pro?
Nice app, is there any option to show dock icons labels ?
This looks good. Any option to add a drop shadow on the icons like the Samsung Galaxy Launchers?
