[Q] How to unlock windows 7.5 - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today, I recently got a HTC Arrive. I had a touch pro 2 before the Arrive. Just wondering is there any free way to unlock it and run home brew? Or any legit way to unlock it that isnt alot of $$$. Thanks

I have been wondering myself, but haven't seen anything yet.
I also have a HTC arrive and currently there is no way to unlock it. Makes me sad too. Nodo added cdma support and since sprint is cdma anything pre nodo wont work on a htc arrive so there is no way to unlock exepct getting devolper code thing
Yes

Just get a Dev unlock... do some reading. If you have access to a .edu email account, it's free with a little work. If you dont have a edu email, google it, there is a few ways to get one free for this use.
Otherwise, no you can't unlock your arrive because it's got NoDo on it.
yes it is very possible to unlock the HTC arrive, but what I am looking for is a way to remove the sideload limit in mango on the arrive? has anyone figured this out yet?
I'm running RTM 7720 with the "no-unlock" alternative. No problems whatsoever.

You may have to go back to nodo and I can't answer any questions about side loading due to my MS Partner agreement, but here is a link to the procedure:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238841
Are you certain you want to go through all of this this close to carrier release? You will want your carrier release because it will probably have some specific driver enhancements, ring tones, carrier-ware, etc., not to mention support issues.
Hope this helps!

[Q] Unlock/Jailbreak A HTC Radar?

Hi, I'm new with windows phone 7. I just got myself a HTC Radar, been looking around on how to actually install Homebrew apps or things like that. I did not manage to get anything to work even with ChevronWP7.
Is there any other alternatives?

I'm on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango i guess. I'm not sure how to check but the other time i bought the phone i asked the guy he said its Running on Mango.
Check by opening Settings->About. There should be written Windows Phone 7.5.
If you're on mango there is no way to fully unlock WP7.5. However you can use the new ChevronWP7 or get a Apphub account. Are you a student?

http://labs.chevronwp7.com/
It's 9$ and let's you use 10 unsigned apps.

Any idea of when more Chevron tokens will be available?
^ If you are a student, you can get a free student developer unlock, which normally costs $99 a year. No news from the Chevron team on tokens yet.

AT&T is evil. Check out this thread also. You can also wait 6-8 months, and AT&T SHOULD have an unlock code by then.

I think 6-8 months is a bit far fetched. They usually do 6-8 after release, which we are approaching. I guess Ill keep trying with ATT. I tought we can do the USB unlocking like the sg2 and like the sites are offering paid service.

all we need is a dedicated dev to find the hidden files where the code lives, like they did on the galaxy s 4g, that was so easy i unlocked 5 of those in less than 1 hour, FREE.
So naturally when the galaxy came out, I tried the same way as in before but no luck the files are somewhere else and are very difficult to find

They are by far the worst provider I have ever dealt with.
Ok so, after much fighting with regular ATT reps and speaking to managers, I got nowhere, but on Saturday I called 916 843 4685 which is the international department, 1 minute conversation basically I need unlock code, here is my IMEI and here is my email. Today I got the email with the code. DO NOT waste time with regular CS, call international department directly !

Sprint note 5 sm-n920p - remote sim unlock testers needed

Hey guys, I'm trying to test out some software a friend stumbled upon that can unlock the Sprint Note 5. I've already unlocked my Sprint Note 5, which I am using with T-Mobile. I'm trying to see if it can work the unlock over a remote connection before buying myself, as it is very expensive software that also requires a physical dongle to work.
YOU MUST HAVE A DECENT STEADY INTERNET CONNECT AND USING WINDOWS PC!
You must be rooted! ( I have not tried this on a non rooted Note 5 and do not know if it will work. With that said if you're unrooted and one of the few I have time to try this remote unlock with, you proceed at your own risk!)
Please Nandroid or backup your data by whatever means you may use!
Although this will not root your phone or flash anything to your Note 5, you do this at your own risk!
If the remote unlock is unsuccessful, remember this didn't cost you a thing, and if it worked please post to this thread!
I am using a friends licensed software and hardware that he has been kind to let me try, please understand that I cannot do this for everyone that responds and my time is limited! With that said you will get a PM from me instructing you to download the 7zip file below for setup. At the moment, I have time for 5 to 6 quick unlocks! Don't get mad if you're not picked, as it will be random! Don't PM me regarding this thread, unless I PM'ed you in response to your thread reply. Thank you!
ENABLE USB DEBUGGING:
1. To enable "USB DEBUGGING", go to settings, then "About Phone", then tap "Build Number" 7 times.
2. Enable "USB debugging" and "OEM Unlock" in "Settings", "Developer options".
3. Connect the phone to PC with USB cable, install drivers if needed.
Download UnlockTools.7zip :
UnlockTools2.7z
Unzip and install as Administrator with shortcuts on your Desktop for easy access.
This zip contains two files:
Flexihub Setup - Used to connect to your Note 5 from remote connection. This can also be downloaded from the developers website as a free download for individual users. Google and you will find. Otherwise use my link.
TeamViewer Setup - Used to connect to your PC remotely and connect Flexihub software to your device. This can also be downloaded from the developers website as a free download for individual users. Google and you will find. Otherwise use my link.

You should've kept it! Little something for your thoughts. Instead of donating those, you should save them, you would be surprised what hardware and software a few hundred of them could buy! And in all honesty, Junior, you should not have waste your first post bro! Or should I say Troll! Look I'm just trying to replicate what I did for mines using remote access. You think all the remote unlocks and sim unlocks you seeing on ebay and on websites are fake? Trust me, they are not, but it is expensive hardware and software that does that. What I do is completely safe. If you don't like what you see, leave. Simple, but evidently you are a troll and your profile proves it. You ask no questions, subscribe to nothing.
