[Rom] need some beta testers! - Motorola Atrix 2

I have a deodxed, themed, debloated, overclocked rom (with a few extra "goodies") that I need some beta testers for.. please reply to the thread if you are interested in testing. Hopefully I can start pushing it out to the testers tomorrow night.

Sorry for the delay guy's, I'm having some theming issues I promise you I am working my a** off on this. Debloating, don't even get me started :-(... I'll have it up soon.

It's up guys, Please let me know how it works for ya. I'm running it too. The rest of it will come along soon enough.

I would be happy to help (as long as the process isn't too overly complicated). I'll be on the road all day, but should be able to flash what you have Friday night.
Thanks for working on this!

So, are we able to perform backups/restores through the Boostrap or do we have to use the fastboot files if something goes amiss?
Nevermind saw your post in the bootstrap thread, awesome! I'll put the fastboot files on my phone just in case.

Backup and restores are performed through bootstrap for right now. The fastboot files need to be on your computer so you can run them via RSD lite. But only if something goes wrong

Sign me up, I have an extended warranty so if it dies, I can get a replacement.

I would love to beta test

I want to test too! \o/

i would like to test it out also. permitting that it is not too involved.

What apps did you remove for debloating?
Did you remove the CIQ?
Overclocked the cpu?
Hehe sorry for the questions just wondering what changes have you made. Thanks.

Hook it up... I'm in..

Would definitely like to beta test!

Even though we're eagerly awaiting, please take your time. We definitely appreciate all the effort you're putting into this. Many thanks!

I'm not just debloating i'm debluring it. It'll take some time but i'm sure ill get it. I'm trying to make it as vanilla as possible and remove every trace of Motorola/Blur.

Sounds great to me. I'm looking forward to testing it.

Where is this rom at and what's it overclocked to

Anyone tried/using clockworkmod touch recovery?

The question says it all. I think a touch based recovery would be rad, and we all know CWM is legit. Does anyone use it? If so, does it work well?

I highly doubt it will work for our phone. Considering we had to have nitroglycerine33 whip us up a custom CWM that would work on our phone, I doubt that touch cwm would work...
Lol, duh. Think before you post fall. Ha!
I guess if I could use touch recovery I wouldn't be using Bootstrap. Roflcopter!
Sent from my MB865 using xda premium
we are able to flash the bionic recovery with rom manager, so maybe it is possible to use a bionic build of CWM touch, if there ever is one.

or this for the razr maybe? http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...-interesting/page__hl__jydaddy__fromsearch__1
i flashed the razr touch and it boots to it from are bootstrap so i would say it works. i haven't tried flashing anything from it or nothing yet but it's a good sign.
Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1509127
I just tried making a backup and it said it couldn't mount system. so it won't work as it is now. but it's a start.
+1 for trying.

I was able too take parts from our bootstrap and I got the razr touch recovery to where it was able to make backups. But I'm not going to restore it at work. I can't go 6 hours without my phone if it craps out.
If I did get it working I'm not going to release it til I get permission from everyone involved in the two recoveries that I used to do it.

It flashes rom's so i'll say its good to go. i'll PM nitroglycerine33 and see if he care if i share it. if he don't i'll have it out in a day or two.

Not trying to put words in ptmr3's mouth, but I think.. that if he knew what's going on here with the new ICS for this, he'd. Make it for this.. you asked him permission, correct.?

Yes that is mainly the reason why I haven't actually uploaded the file yet. I am waiting for ptmr3 to reply as per his request this thread can be deleted. So just waiting for his approval. This was solely a reason just to provide hope and to show appreciation for the hard works done by every developer for the blaze and others.

I tested almost 2 days and everything was working. (data, wifi, BT,GPS,calls). The ROM does have root access, I installed Root Explorer and follow directions to set permissions for the app. Drove me nuts for a few minutes thinking I screwed something up. Any app that requires root access will ask to set permissions. Highly customizable ROM. CAM works same as CM9 from TFQ. Give it a go and let me know what you think
Will do.

If you use Titanium Backup, be patient with it. You have to answer a million questions about giving root access. It eventually grants acess.
I also tested music player and its amazing. Volume controls were working correctly. Good luck and enjoy

Really like this rom! I miss miui from when I had the vibrant...I can't find anything wrong with this rom except for the buttons not lighting up issue & I tried to use a theme n it didn't work. But all in all I'm enjoying it! Thanks flyer!

Beautiful rom, MIUI was my rom of choice when I had my ATT SGS2. Having run into any issues yet, except I can't apply themes. Also, when I've used MIUI in the past, I was able to swipe the notification bar a certain way and open up the app drawer. I think there was a zip or something to make that doable, but it's been a while so I can't remember. Is there something like that available for this rom? Is there, or will there be a fix for the theme issue?
Thanks alot for all the work that went into this.

Not to be offensive or anything, mainly for educational purposes; Why is it 2.8.10 when there are several versions ahead of it which have already been released? I believe the latest is 2.9.28.

Probably because they need more room on /system to hold the new stuff
Or more RAM so the phone isn't unusable stock
So I installed it and seems like they didn't remove the bloat and added two new apps but it very fast now idk what they did but my phone always died so fast n now it actually lasts a while so I'm not exactly sure what just happend but now I can I'm more Happy but I'm still gonna upgrade to HTC one or gs4 what ever comes first on Verizon I just need to upgrade this thing even thou its faster now n battery last longer its still not processor good enough....

I believe that in order for the bloat apps to go away you have to uninstall any updates to them and clear data/cache but not sure if you may have had to do that before you took the FP8 update
To make sure I'm posting the correct update.zip I'd like to ask a quick question. My phone has asked me to update and is at the restart & install point. Does the update.zip file contain everything you want? If it does I'll go ahead and upload, if not, let me know what you need and I'll get it for you.
Thanks,

There are a couple bugs so far and I am sure there may be more... It's a nice rom for a first build.
