Hi!
I cannot mount my phone via USB, so I cannot also root it.

thx

All ROMs found here are going to be rooted. But you should be able to mount your SD storage in clockwork mod recovery.

connect it again, use fastboot to install CW recovery
then once you have the CW recovery working, mount the USB drive
download any of the nadroid backup stock ROMS
copy it over to the phone
and use CW recovery to restore the stock nandroid backup
phone fixed
thanks you are awsome

Or he could just use the full ROM. Search is being screwy right now and won't return any results but I'll update with the link. The stock nandroid backup will remove root
Here is the link to where you can find the full ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11380101&postcount=1

Are you on a mac or on a PC?
Difference being that if you're on a mac I can give you exact commands you can copy and paste otherwise I can give you commands you will have to add directories to (I don't know the full commands for a PC)
iam on mac

Wonderful! Okay, so you can follow the instructions here to flash clockwork recovery. I assume you've already unlocked your bootloader so you can skip that step. Just make sure you download the file in 1)B and you'll be completely golden
where is the link is it from your root 2.3.3 on mac therad

He's asking what version. You should have v3.2.0.0 which was specially developed for Xoom to access Micro sdcard. If you use Rom Manager to boot into recovery, it may have tricked you into updating to a newer version of CWM recovery which only uses internal storage and isn't completely compatible.
thats whats happened :/ what a douch i am, i have v4.0.0.4, anyway i can downgrade? thanks

Just reflash the image file through fastboot or the zip file from your internal "sdcard" if possible. Remember not to flash a zip file through fastboot.

if the port was broken, you wouldn't be able to charge either. you are having some other problem
the flashify app works like a charm for the a700, I don't see why it shouldn't for the 701
by the way, did you bother to check where you posted the thread?

Please enable the MTP on TWRP and check..... when you select Mount, you will find this option on the bottom right hand corner.

Do you have the driver installed for it?
From my experience, installing the universal ADB driver seems to help:
http://www.koushikdutta.com/post/universal-adb-driver
Or, if you don't feel comfortable with that, this works for me as well: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/install-adb-drivers-for-windows-8-1-64-bits.51264/

Yes it's easy. And in the time it took you to ask that question here you could have googled "how to adb sideload with TWRP" and already been doing it by now.

You can use a modified stock recovery to gain root access.
