okay, so, i tried to install CWM on my micromax funbook P255 using Novatools or something.
and now, it keeps booting into recovery (v5.5.0.4 for SmartPad 907c)
and it gives this log below -
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
i've tried flashing a new recovery
when i do 'adb devices', it shows my device in recovery
when i do 'flashboot devices' it doesn't show my device at all
when i try to 'flashboot flash recovery recovery.img' it is stuck on waiting for device.
there's no external SD card yet, but I have a spare one which I tried
I put the recovery.img in a 'newzip.zip' and put the SD card into my tablet, and then tried to install the update from the .zip, but it said 'installation aborted'
i just got this tablet yesterday, i NEED to fix this by myself anyhow!
i've rooted my HTC One V before, so I do have basic rooting experience.
I just want to get my tablet to work, f*ck the root and recovery, just anyhow it can functional normally!
also, there's a reset pinhole at the back, but i don't think it's working, i put a pin in there and nothing happened at all..

OK, reflash your stock firmware using live suite. You can get your Micromax P255 stock rom from this link- can't provide link because i am a new memberjust google android 4.0.4 stock rom for micromax funbbok p255.Then click the first link . Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the Mcromax P255 rom . Just download it.You get A zip File. Open it .It contains Live suite and the rom. how to use Live Suite ? Google it .
I had this problem.Fixed it yesterday using this method
This..is a common type of error with the micromax devices with cwm...which often results into imperfect flash.
Your device might be going in boot loop...
Solution;
Open the flashing software(i hope you would be using spreadtrum flashing software;Research Downloader) you are using open the stock image(To find yours google"Micromax all Stock Roms")
Connect your device randomly between vibration ...
You will observe that your computer will load the drivers then suddenly your phone will reboot
Identify the time driver loads ...
Run the system flash software though drivers aren't identified ...
Hold on the flash key(look up on google each set has different pattern) pattern of your phone and plug in cable(iam assuming that usb cable can be used to flash many other standard cable are used i had to cut the supply wire for mine to mske it flashable) at random times it will work.
PRESS THANKS If I was of any help.

Like a lot of others I've was repeatedly getting the following error when attempting to install the XE700T1C Android IA image -
fatal: assertion failed bootable/iago/plugins/gummiboot.c:gummiboot_execute:154 'efibootmgr encountered an error (status 100)
[email protected]:/#
This is related to the secure keys of the hardware and the EFI boot loaders which are used to install Android IA.
To install sucessfully, select the MokManager option from the boot menu and select to 'Import hash from disk' - choose the bottom option then browse to the BOOT/EFI folder and select to trust each of the .EFI files - when prompted press 0 then Y to import the keys.
After this the installation will happen without the error.
Hope this helps anyone getting as wound up by this error as I've been.
Cheers.

Hello,
i've found a solution. Problem is AI installer can't add boot entry in EFI, but all necessary files are stored in right place. All you need is a EasyUEFI 1.8 to manually add boot entry into EFI Boot Mgr.
After install an run program just select "Create", choose type as "Linux", enter boor entry name "Andoid", select partition with "combobox". After that select ".efi" file in bottom file chooser (gummiboot.efi) it must be in "/" of EFI Partition.
Next and last what you need is select that record to boot first.
