[Q] mw600 - Bluetooth and voice search - HTC Sensation

Hello, I am loving the sensation and mw600 pairing, however one key function does not seem to work - pressing the 'answer' button on the headset (short press) does not activate voice search. Long press triggers the mw600 device selection, double press triggers a last number redial... When the phone is ringing, short press answers the call successfully in the headset ..... I can hold down the search button on the phone itself successfully and this will activate voice search in the headset...
The key function of activating voice search from the headset itself by pressing the answer button fails.
I have tried workarounds with limited success, such as the headset button app, eg by assigning a double press on the play button to voice search... However I can get no functionality out of the main button itself other than answer and redial... Voice search capability via this button would be truly awesome.
Has anyone experienced this issue and / or any suggestions to make voice search via mw600 button functional?

I'm currently running the EnergyROM from 22nd December and it appears to work for me, though the results were awful - it never dialed the name I said, LOL.

Using Smartskey to Enable Speaker On in a Call

Hi All,
Is there a way to edit Smartskey to allow using one of the hardware buttons to trigger the Speaker On/Off option?
Thanks!
Speakerphone?
It's already hardware button binded to press and hold green call button, during a call. Handy in the car when your bluetooth headset needs a charge, quick press the green button to answer, then immediately press and hold to switch to speaker.
Or do you mean use the speaker for other purposes?

Tried it on my ETEN X500 and it places the call on hold instead.
In addition I'd like to be able to switch to speakerphone whenever, meaning
When I receive a call or place a call myself.
Not sure about Eten phone, but HTC's phone (most if not all), you will have to press and *keep holding* the green button long enough (while on call). Pressing it will give you 'Call on Hold'. Alt, you try PhoneAlarm .. or PocketPhone Zen (something like that) that gives you profiles (like Nokia phone) that enables you to have the option of getting speaker phone automatically upon receiving.

How to configure the hansfree button

Hello....is there any way of changing the action when the handsfree button is pressed or even long pressed & doublepressed
yes, same question. Extremely annoying how easy it is to accidently double tap the button and call the last person.
any suggestions anyone ??? maybe a registry edit or anything..... still waiting
The handsfree button has the same function as the call button typically.
double press -> redial (same as call button on phone)
long press ->
a) on some ROMs simply doesn't work. Guess it depends on driver version
b) if workiing, you can set the function in Buttons, gets same function as long press Button 1 (left phone button)
isnt there a cab or file cause its really annoying and would love to set it to next song or previous song
bump any one some one help its really annoying randomly calling someone
Not sure but;
Check in your registry in HKCU\Control Panel for your headset settings
Search for 'audio manager headset tool' on forums.
Try this cab
Havent tested it my self yet

Topaz Keyboard Controller;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=555821
What is it ?
It's a solution that allows you to remap ALL keys of your device.
Any key (yeah, i mean ANY, including Home and Back keys) can be reassigned to perform desired actions.
Have fun,
Senax
Thanks for replying ... I already have Topaz Keyboard Controller installed but it does not let you configure the (wired) handsfee button.. or if there is a way then pls help !!!
i am going for another head-set...

Wired and bluetooth headset button

Might be a weird one, but I use both a wired headset and bluetooth headset at times and I would expect the action button on both to do something. All I can get it to do at the moment is redial on a double tap.
What I am looking for is the type of things Windows Phone does. For example, it will read text messages to you, on long press of the button, it will activate voice actions so I can make a call or send a text without looking at the phone.
Is this possible?
Thanks

Voice dial with google now from lock screen/headphone button

Hey guys. Is there a way to get CM11 to bring up Google Now when I press and hold the button on my wired headset from the locked screen?
I know the crappy voice dialer comes up but that gets wrong results all the time for me. I'd like google Now to come up ready to accept a command when I press and hold the headphone button.
Thanks!

Starting Bluetooth voice recognition mode via the device itself

I have a new car, and for some stupid reason, it has bluetooth headset connected to the multimedia panel but I don't have any 'voice command' button.
So for now I've used tasker to start voice recognition when I long press the home button when connected to the car BT.
However, starting voice recognition from the device and from the BT button is a bit different, while starting it from the device itself will only use the device microphone and wouldn't be connected to the multimedia panel, starting the voice recognition via the BT button (if any) would mute the music and use the external BT microphone to catch the command.
I was wondering if there is any way to simulate the BT button press when I long click the home button ?
I can use Tasker and I can build an app for that (if the SDK supports this)
Any ideas ?
