Using Smartskey to Enable Speaker On in a Call - General Topics

Hi All,
Is there a way to edit Smartskey to allow using one of the hardware buttons to trigger the Speaker On/Off option?
Thanks!

Speakerphone?
It's already hardware button binded to press and hold green call button, during a call. Handy in the car when your bluetooth headset needs a charge, quick press the green button to answer, then immediately press and hold to switch to speaker.
Or do you mean use the speaker for other purposes?

Tried it on my ETEN X500 and it places the call on hold instead.
In addition I'd like to be able to switch to speakerphone whenever, meaning
When I receive a call or place a call myself.

Not sure about Eten phone, but HTC's phone (most if not all), you will have to press and *keep holding* the green button long enough (while on call). Pressing it will give you 'Call on Hold'. Alt, you try PhoneAlarm .. or PocketPhone Zen (something like that) that gives you profiles (like Nokia phone) that enables you to have the option of getting speaker phone automatically upon receiving.

Bluetooth Headset Problem - No End Call

I'm sure I'm missing something simple. When I press the button on my bluetooth headset the phone activates voice dialling and I can make a call. At the end of the call I press the button again (the only one!) and my TP does not hang up. I have to press the hangup key on the phone or switch on the screen and press the red end call button. I can preses again on the bluetooth set (get a tone) but still nothing. Holding in the button eventually switches off the headset but still the phone stays connected! Using vodafone UK branded TP and vodafone handsfree bluetooth headset. Am i missing some sort of setup on the phone to make this work?

Power button function during call.

Hi
During a call if you press the power button once it mutes the ringing but if you press it again in rejects the call.
How can I make it so that it can only mute during call but not reject the call ?
The reason is that I have my phone in my pocket upside down and when I get a call I sometimes reject a call.

Anybody ?
Usually my power buttons just turns the screen off or ends call.. it doesn't mute ? Are you on stock ?

Use the volume buttons to mute the call.
What I want is for the power button to not end the call.
same question here...
Not sure if this setting is the solution:
Settings -> Accessibility -> Power button ends call
You could try unchecking it
I dont have that option in accessibility.
Doesnt it give you the option to reject the call when it comes in. Im asking because I have the option to accept or reject a call when it comes in from home screen ? If you don't have that option, you can simply use the volume key to reject by turning off or down volume. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Yes it gives me the option but twice pressing the power button causes reject call. This happens every time when i try to pull the phone from my pocket. So i want to disable this feature, twice pressing power button rejection.... :banghead:

[Q] Set Camera button to end call?

I was wondering if there is any possible way to have to camera button end a call while on a call, and work regularly as the camera button usually does when not on a call. I know there is an option to have to power button end the call, but I prefer to power button to turn the screen of during a call so I don't accidentally hit mute / hangup / dialpad with my face.
So, is it possible?

Phone answering application w/ bluetooth, speaker and phone buttons?

Hello. I'm running Android 7.1.2 and when the phone rings I have one button to answer. Then, I have to press another button if I want to direct the call to speaker or bluetooth device.
Does anyone know if there's a phone answering application that can have these buttons available, and depending on which medium you want to talk, you just press that button (e.g., speaker, phone, bluetooth)?
Thnx!

Prevent dial-pad from displaying?

When I place a call, I have like 1-2 seconds to press the speakerphone button before the dial-pad slides up over the button. That's way too short of a time and causes me to have to click the "X" to close the dial-pad, so I can see the speakerphone button then press it.
Very bad UI - there is plenty of room to display the dialpad and commonly used functions like the speakerphone, etc.
So, is there any mod/setting that would prevent the keypad from automatically covering all the other buttons behind it after 1-2 seconds of a call connect?

Dial pad does not (re)appear uncommanded on my stock device. Something else is triggering this behavior.
I think I know what happened...
If I dial a "contact", then the dialpad does not automatically pop-up.
But if the dialpad is showing, and I tap and hold on the "1" key to call my voice mail, the dialpad will disappear, then the options buttons appear (including the speakerphone button), but as soon as my phone connects to voicemail, it pops-up the dial pad and covers up the speakerphone button.
I can sort of understand why it might be doing this (because you'll probably need the dialpad to interact with voicemail), but often I like to listen to my voicemail on speakerphone, and just a 1-2 second window to tap the speakerphone button before the dial-pad appears is not enough time.
