wow...! I am dying to get fancy rotation. My friend who has iphone always tease me that android dont have such animation even though its open source & can be modified. I think we can implement it in our phone.

Yeah i asked this at general q&a but no one answered me.

Would be really cool if we had this animation.

I have gone through all 24 pages of s2 thread of rotation. They have used two libs files of samsung note. There is similarity between note & s2. Also framework files need to be modified. If we want to implement it in our phone then definitely we have to first modify libs & then accordingly framework files.

Did someone already ask what the changes were they did to the files of galaxy note and in the framework?

No, this won't add the rotation animation. Read the comments of the thread. It only changes the transition animations. (I tried it)

I guess our developers can look at spare parts.apk which has this fancy rotation animation (running on android v.1.5 only). Perhaps they can port that apps to be compatible with GB or froyo...

I don't think it's that easy. Spare parts allows you to change hidden settings, it doesn't add anything.

I see. Well, I guess we'll have to wait Sch_ succeed to port this fancy rotation as he mention in his thread

We will not be able to port it as OMAP and Exynos very different ..

SX
Thanks for the fast reply.
Downloading it...
EDIT: Works on Galaxy MINI.
There are some troubles, as at times it doesnt work that well, and it keeps showing the original lockscreen fora a sec, but overall has a lot of themes, and its good.
Thank you.
How do you apply .mtz themes in Mi Lock ? I thought it was impossible all along ...
Does it work on froyo rom.........?
And also can give me another download link...
Sent from my GT-I5801 using xda premium

Remove .jpg or .png from your wallpaper and put it in sdcard/MIUI/wallpaper/
Then choose it

Yeah, this is only for HDPI.
Should mention in the first post or in the thread tittle.
Applied a theme and than couldnt unlock my phone anymore since the unlock button was somewhere where the phone couldn't show. Had to reboot it.
I think this would save a lot of time to people who are not on HDPI.
Agonn did you try any theme from Miui lockscreen thread? I have phone as you but can't test it right now... Look for the other milocker thread here and there's a link to theme thread.
Slide(it)d from my crappy galaxy mini
where I can download .mtz file?
You can download mtz files from xda. There are many threads that offer miui lock screens. Just look in the themed thread
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
Amazed to say the least! Thanks a lot man.. always wanted this being a non-miui users.. kudos for sharing!
Perfect...
Yeah that's it...
Wonderful.
But one request, you know there is a small thing in lockscreen in MIUI, torch...
Long click in home key opens-up torch for quick access.
Could this be adaptable or not to non-MIUI roms?
it's work on mdpi, but the themes are only for hdpi

As I said, this is probably not good for MDPI phones.
It works but you can't use it since the themes are all for HDPI phones, and if you choose the wrong theme, you will have too reboot your phone in order to enter.

If you go to settings, it's clearly written that you can press back key + volume up to unlock if something goes wrong.

Oh yes, I get errors every time "decompile-compile" is involved. The only way I managed to change window animations was to replace the original anim-folder from framework-res.apk with the tweaked one Surprisingly this method didn't work with ICS-transition effect.

Galaxy SIII Lockscreen

Hey guys, I was just wondering if it was possible to port the Galaxy S3 ripple lockscreen to the Blaze. I think it would be awesome if we had this, and I hate using all of the fake ones on the Play Store that say they are the S3 lockscreen. Thanks

Yeah if I remember correctly there is a slew of smali stuffs that comes with all that - in android.policy.jar and likely in framework(2).jar as well.

(REQUEST) Xperia Z lockscreen (guide attached)

As the title says, anybody could port it to our Note? Here you can find it also with a guide, i tried to do it by myself but all the smali codes and other things made me drunk also i've skipped some things and i've ended in a bootloop so, developing/porting is not my work. I hope someone could make it work on our beloved note...
Sorry my bad english!
+1 me.
The lockscreen looks good and has a new fancy unlocking interactive animation.
Why don't you guys try out the Alliance ROM ? It has Xperia Z,BB10,Acer,Optimus and whatnot lockscreen options.

this can help....
Download & Install FreeImageConverter then launch it.
Click Add Folder... and add the folder were the wallpapers are
Then click Advanced Convert...
Select Exact Size and set the image quality to 100
Set your Width and Height resolutions for your device.
Uncheck Add "Converted by www.freeimageconverter.com"
Select Leave the same file name and leave the Postfix & Prefix empty. Then set your output in a folder.

yes. i tried 9patch resizer. but for resizing you should change some layouts too! resizing of pngs is just the beginning . hard part is to resize layouts.
