Maybe you find something that can be activated in software.

Tripod

Has anyone tried any tripod to go with the i9000?
I am looking at Joby Gorilla mobile:
*I can't add links yet so type "gorillamobile"*
The other day I had to record a still video using the Samsung Galaxy S (I don't have anything else that records 720p) and I struggled so much to find books/boxes/etc to make it stand still. It nearly flipped and fell on the floor once!
I was just looking at ebay for something, apparently theres some "generic tripod for i9000" from hong-kong, not sure if I trust it. Give more tripods to choose from!
check deal extreme instead, you have more choices and free shipping

Olloclip for Android?

whats up guys! so a friend of mine got an olloclip for his iphone and its awesome. yes, yes i said iphone. anyway, its an attachable lens for the iphone that lets you shoot pictures in fisheye, macro, and wide-angle. i know its a bit far fetched, but has anyone seen something similar for our skyrockets? i highly doubt it, but ive been googling everything and couldnt find any such thing
I haven't seen any clip on "Olloclip" style ones, but there are some alternatives discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=760189&page=3
Hope that helps!
Indeed it's such a waste there wasn't any Olloclip brand dedicated to the Android devices given it's increasing popularity and adoption.
Apparently the Chinese market was fast enough to tap on it , to come up with lens specially for Samsung Galaxy s3 and Note II.
I had a tried on it, and it was well valued for the bang i paid for it.
Just google Camera-Licious and look for 4 in one Samsung Lens

Samsung S5690 Galaxy Xcover Underwater Test (4m)

Hi all!
So, I was searching the xda-forums for the Samsung S5690 Galaxy Xcover with no luck. Well yeah there are Roms and rooting stuff but nothing regarding it's capabilites. The reason for which this beast was designed. Well I got one for testing, officially the phone resists 30min under water (1m), as you'll se in my clip I've tested it under 4 meters under water and got it for a ride on a waterslide too!
Personally I would recommend for those who throw their phones across the room ), and especially for those who practice extreme sports.
What do you think about it?
The subtitles are in Romanian, I'm going to make an english version too.

[SAMSUNG] devices not so breakable after all

Its no secret that Samsung likes to use shiny, extremely flexible plastic materials for its devices. It can unfortunately lead to a device that feels somewhat "cheap" in the hand, but the tradeoff is some serious longevity when it comes to surviving every-day use. Some of us*don't treat our phones very gently, and a device's ability to make it through a few bumps without breaking can be a feature for many.
Samsung has just released a video showing off various methods they use to stress test their devices, including mashing on a Galaxy Note 2 home button over 200,000 times, putting a device under simulated rain and even simulating sitting on devices repeatedly. Yes. It's a butt. Get over it. The video is narrated in Korean, but you'll enjoy the visuals nonetheless. You can skip along to about the 0:50 mark to get to where the good parts start.
im what Willis was talking about
wats i thinks samsung is better than htc & lgs

Dunk your Smart phone in a bucket of water.Yea Right..???.

Okay I just watched this video and they took a Iphone 5 and sprayed this new product called Never Wet on it and used Q-tips for the ear jack and powerjack to apply it to the openings and then placed it is a bucket of water. it still worked !!!! I am a doubting Tom on this, This is not the first time i have heard of this product but the first time i have seen a video of it being done....So is this really possible ? I have HTC One that I would love it do this one but I am not going to take a chance . So what say the XDA experts ? real or fake ?
Skip to about the 03:19 minute mark to see the Iphone 5 test.

There was this thing called liquipel some time back. I think it uses the same technology.
It looks cool but I have no idea if it works.
It is a real product, and if it didn't work major retailers would not be carrying it. I believe the Galaxy S4 active comes pre-coated with a hydrophobic substance, which gives it its "waterproof" ability. However, the coating may degrade over time, and may require repeated applications. Neverwet was originally designed to be applied to clothing, so that you can theoretically wade into rivers and emerge on the other side completely dry, but it should also work on electronics.

It s real but i have question that if iphone will work underwater why thr s no IP Cert. For it??????
Even IP11 )
So this kind of video and test is silly
For example some galaxies and xperias are waterproof/resistant and they have IP Cert and we know they will survive underwater even don't see test video
But iphone underwater test...!!!
Anyway i say u that all phones will survive in little bit wet place
Even old Nokias and even htc One
Sent via my Nexus7 | WiFi.32GB
Cool technology, but something I don't think most need or want.
