Hi All
Found an interesting bike mount for the Desire HD. Waterproof and mount on handlebars. There is a hole to use your headphones while riding. From Play.com £14.99
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...-Desire-HD/Product.html?ptsl=1&ob=Price&fb=0#
Nice idea but too pricey for me. Would be great when geocaching tho
Liking this, would love to see something similar for runners.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I found this to work well. Not the cheapest but has not dropped the phone yet or fallen off!

That looks very interesting. How exactly does it hold onto the handlebar? That is, would it be OK for off-road?
@ Steve - your link took me to a "desk-sync cable" Do you have another link
Any photos, specifically of the mount itself, would be well received
I have got a bike holder for my HTC Desire HD. It is modificated Dicota. (I bought it as a holder for my HP iPAQ, than it holds Touch PRO and now DHD)
I have got a photo, which was taken some days before, and i was photographing bike, not that holder
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=928847&l=acbcbfb1fe&id=1680198082
And it is now waterproof
// I can take a close photo if u want. Just send me a message

exactly what i was looking for
for German costumers you can get Bike Holders for the DHD here http://www.monav24.de/shop/index.php?cPath=84_86&SESS=815d0cf70b0ec016a31d561b6a314342
Anyone got any better suggestions, i bought the waterproof case/mount for my DHD and its terrible for the job. It's just a tom tom case filled with stuffings. Really bad poor quality. Regarding it's purpose to hold and protect my phone, it fails as the case is far too big and it's not waterproof as it has holes for earphones. All in all poor.
The Iphone bike mount seems all well-made and fit for purpose. Why can't someone make a proper mount for out Desire HD.
I think there are craftsmen and their own hands to make

Hi,
I read back a couple of posts and I think that http://buybits.com/product/8890.aspx would do a better jobby. There are a couple about I tried mobfun but they said they had them but when I ordered they were OOS - which others have said too.
Wished I had searched here first.
But the buybits people seem to have a lot of bits and bobs that do later phones. Had a few things off them from the web and they seems to do what they say on the bag lol.
Dunno would not want a crash with any new phone - you know they would just fall apart lol

UltimateAddons Waterproof Case for HTC Desire HD (+ bike mount)
I found this:
ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/mobile-phones/htc/htc-desire-hd-accessories/bicycle-accessories/pro-bicycle-wpcase444___939.htm
or same product also for example here:
amazon.co.uk/UltimateAddons-Motorcycle-Swivel-Handlebar-Waterproof/dp/B00577AWXG/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&m=A1JCK2KMJMH29Q&s=generic&qid=1311525084&sr=1-9
Just to let you know, it is made for iPhone 4g and HTC Desire HD does not fit it properly. Seems like a quality product, but they should a) make a bigger case for Desire HD and/or devices of that size and b) stop marketing this product deceitfully.
If someone finds a proper case (or another fraudulent one), please do post here!
nice maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan

Hey guys, I bought the keyboard dock for my tablet but I find it hard to browse the web and use the IM apps with all the small fonts and the angle of the tablet when docked. I either have to stay farther away from the tablet and then I'm having trouble seeing small stuff (or tapping it) or I have to get close to the tablet but tilt my head a lot in a way that is very uncomfortable.
Do you guys know of any case that has adjustable angles like this one here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/StilGut-Ult..._1_sc_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1333061202&sr=8-13-spell ?
What I actually need is a browsing and typing angle that is lower than the keyboard dock but not as low as the Samsung Book Cover's typing angle that it makes you hover over the tablet.
The one I linked to above looks promising (see 3rd pic), but the reviews don't say anything about this.
Thanks!
Pyro Skins do one that looks like that one but cheaper, about £18. Theyre based in the US but will deliver to the Uk, the 18 quid includes delivery
That's no good. I need it shipped to Romania, so it's gotta be from Amanzon UK 'cause Amazon US does not ship to Romania
Anyway, the price isn't my main concern. It's the fact that with these types of accessories you never know if they really suit your needs until you see them in front of you (or maybe a video review on youtube, lol, I just had a thought).
I've got this case, and while I kept it, I'm not 100% happy with it:
Good:
high quality
good protection
Bad:
personally don't like the leather texture
even if it says "slim case", it's a bit thick and heavy
Most important: if you have it latched in one of the two stand positions, it will mask the speaker at the bottom, leading to bad sound experience. This is especially annoying when watching videos
Hope that helps. Maybe I can take some pictures soon.
whats up guys! so a friend of mine got an olloclip for his iphone and its awesome. yes, yes i said iphone. anyway, its an attachable lens for the iphone that lets you shoot pictures in fisheye, macro, and wide-angle. i know its a bit far fetched, but has anyone seen something similar for our skyrockets? i highly doubt it, but ive been googling everything and couldnt find any such thing
I haven't seen any clip on "Olloclip" style ones, but there are some alternatives discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=760189&page=3
Hope that helps!
Indeed it's such a waste there wasn't any Olloclip brand dedicated to the Android devices given it's increasing popularity and adoption.
Apparently the Chinese market was fast enough to tap on it , to come up with lens specially for Samsung Galaxy s3 and Note II.
I had a tried on it, and it was well valued for the bang i paid for it.
Just google Camera-Licious and look for 4 in one Samsung Lens
Hi,
Going into a travel for our vacation, and i need help finding a good kit for macro and wide angle lens for note 4. Im really passionate by picture and i dont wanna bring my big DSLR to take few picture. Im scared to get robbed.
I need something that can be ship in canada.
I would like a tripod too and a bluetooth remote to take picture of me and my wife in our holiday.
If someone can point be a good kit, or something that can be ship to canada from amazon ebay or etc, it would be appreciated. please make sure it fit into note 4.
I only see kit for iphone...
Btw, i tried to search in this forum with the word lens and kit, but i didnt get any result unless i did wrong :/
Thanks in advance, i don't check this tread each 5 minutes, so if you can post the kit that could fit for note 4, it would be appreciated.
Much appreciated
Losthenes
You can find them online, you just have to do allot of searching in order to find them. As the majority of lens manufacturers tend to only make stuff for the iPhone.

http://www.amazon.com/including-Tele.../dp/B00RBMASLQ
this one doesnt ship to canada
Try ebay. They have some selection

Hi ... I am a photographer and have researched lenses for the Note 4. I haven't purchased these yet, but it is my understanding that the best lenses are built by Moment Lens. Here is a link:
http://momentlens.co/
I hope to pickup both their wide angle and tele lenses, but purchases in both my mirrorless and DSLR kits have been taking priority. I like the fact that you can just get a new mount to use your Moment lenses if you get a new smartphone.
I picked up a bluetooth remote off of eBay. If you get a tripod, make sure you get a mount to hold the phone. I use the ShoulderPod S1 mount, but it is probably more than you need. I have a Manfrotto tripod mini tripod, but it may be more than you want. Joby makes a lightweight tripod/mount combo that I have considered for a lighter kit. Good luck.
EDIT: Found the Joby XL, here is a link: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1062045-REG/joby_jb01324_griptight_micro_stand_for.html
I'm become something of a backyard photographer with the local wildlife/plants in my yard and really enjoy it. I live in the suburbs of Birmingham, Alabama which is a medium sized city. My neighborhood is rather secluded and on a small mountain which has tons of woods in the area. A large amount of reptiles, birds, and other small animals are always around to observe and snap images. The camera on this phone is decent but the macro mode blows big time. I have an older 12 mp digital with x18 zoom telescopic lens. It does the job but certainly isn't a great camera these days. Are these kits worth it or should I save a few more bucks and grab a dslr? The lens kit for the Note 4 certainly looks neat but after setting it all up in the end isn't a regular camera easier? Maybe if you don't have a real camera it's a cheaper alternative to decent pics but I'm not sure... No sarcasm intended. Just wondering what you all think. Thanks for any info or opinions!
If you want to take some really good pictures and have a interested in pursuing photography as a career path or hobby. Then I would recommend getting a DSLR as no matter what kinda lens attachment you get for your Note 4. You are not gonna be able to take such high quality pictures that you would be able to take with a DSLR. Sure the Note 4 has a very good camera but at the end of the day it can match what you can do with a DSLR.

If you are shooting around your home, it is definitely better to have a dedicated camera because carrying it is not an issue. There is a glut of cameras on the market and you can find good deals. A dedicated camera will significantly outperform the Note 4 and open up the hobby for you. But, it takes a little knowledge to select and use a camera. You can start by going to a site like dpreview.com and looking at some of there camera comparisons. They tend to have articles on a given class of camera and compare many models. Also, there are many free tutorials on the net about how to use a camera. Lynda.com has some excellent courses.
The OP is trying to address a different issue. They already have a dedicated camera, but want to travel light and just use their Note 4. There are many reasons why someone with even a really great system may want to leave it behind and travel light. There are even creative reasons to do this. For example, you can pickup different images when you are basically invisible while using a smartphone. Pull out a huge DSLR and people begin to notice. Often a good compromise is a small mirrorless camera.
Regarding a mount, I couldn't recommend the Square Jellyfish any more highly: http://www.amazon.com/Square-Jellyf...d=1434851342&sr=1-2&keywords=square+jellyfish
Incredibly versatile and well-built.
As for a tripod, Monoprice has some excellent options, but not sure about the shipping cost to Canada. Re: Amazon's offerings, I would go for one of the several Joby-style "flexible leg" models. Again recommended due to versatility; prime ex. if there's no stable surface to set it on they can be wrapped around and "grip" a vertical pole (or pretty much anything) for a perfectly stable shot
Did you happen to find a lens kit for your Note 4? I'm looking, also, and am a little scared of what I'm finding so far. Thnx☺
Virtual Reality is becoming more and more easily accessible. These VR glasses make it super easy to be somewhere you’re not!
The box comes with: a microfiber cloth, the VR headset, and instructions.
VR was proven to be easy to achieve thanks to Google Cardboard, which is a VR headset made from basic materials like cardboard, magnets and rubber bands. This headset is an improved and sturdier version of Cardboard since it’s made out of hard plastic.
To use this product, you will need a smartphone. Any smartphone will do, but it is recommended that you use one that is up to date and can downloaded the latest apps, since that’s one of the most important things here.
Apps I tested: Google Cardboard app, Vrse, Google StreetView and Discovery VR.
Note: These apps don’t come with the product and must be downloaded separately, depending if you’re using Android or iOS. They’re all free, but you must understand that the apps are about half of what you need to make this work.
Thoughts on the product:
I’ve used Google Cardboard so I had previous knowledge of how VR works. You can say this is an upgrade from that since it feels like a real headset, it’s made from hard plastic, and it even has cushions for your face. There are two adjustable settings: one to adjust the focus of the glasses themselves and the second one is to set how far away your phone is from your eyes.
Let's start with customization and comfort. You can adjust pretty much every feature of the glasses. From the straps to the focal length and distance between the lenses. Truly a "one size fits all" product.
Regarding performance, the lenses are extremely clear. Once you have them on, you can adjust the lenses to get the best quality of image. If you haven't tried the VR experience before, you are in for a ride. The image quality is fantastic.
The way the the phone goes into the goggles is awkward at best. Yes, it will fit a phone up to 6" screen size, but not comfortably. I tried using it with my Nexus 6P and i struggled getting the phone in there (did not fit with the case on). When i finally got the phone in, the braces were touching the buttons causing it to not function properly. What i did is i took out the the bracket that is supposed to hold the phone in place and it works great now. little hack that made this very functional with my phone case on and everything.
Another negative aspect I found for these glasses is that if you are in a very bright location, some light does get in through the side slats. This does not happen often and not really a deal breaker for me. It is also something that can be fixed quite easily with tape.
Here is my list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- Adjustable.
- Comfortable on your face. Nice padding.
- Quality materials. Not too heavy.
- Works with most phones.
- Nice additional items such as stylus and microfiber cloth.
- Image quality. Great lenses.
- Easy to use and set up with your phone.
Negatives:
- Side slats allow a bit of light in.
- No way of interacting with touch screen when phone is in the VR goggles (google cardboard Star wars edition had something to touch the screen). would really like if i didn't have to take the phone out of the goggles every time i wanted to change what i am doing
- Fitting larger phones (nexus 6P, LG V10) are awkward
See pictures for details (will post pictures when i get home from work)
I received this at a discount for my review, but my review is completely honest in what is stated.
Please let me know if you have any questions guys. I am more than happy to answer them.

Thanks for the review. I am very interested in VR I have no experience with it and just ordered my first VR headset today. However I went with the freefly VR (about 85 bucks). I'll report back on my impressions. Although a bit more costly I have read a lot of good things about them.

I am in no way affiliated with blitzwolf, but the freefly vr looks like just a more expensive version that ultimately does the same thing. Neither of the goggles have additional sensors in them the way the gear vr or oculus do. I'd save about $50 and order the blitz vr (or any of the ones that look identical on Amazon)

I totally get what you are saying and I honestly debated spending this much... vs something 1/3 the price, I was also looking at the vrbox v2 or the blitz vr; However, I have read many good reviews about users already owning other vr headsets and still think the freefly is worth the extra cost. Supposedly it has 120 FOV which is more than the gear vr and any other phone vr headset.
I will be receiving this tomorrow so if i am not totally impressed ill get something cheaper or nothing at all.

Of course, there is a way to interact with screen without taking the phone out of the goggles. It's a worthwhile investment to get an inexpensive bluetooth controller.

i have come across those, but out of the box there is no way to interact with the screen
