HD Record - T-Mobile LG G2x

Some questions about the camcorder..
I'm on the kang nightly cm7 with faux kernel.. However, when I record using the stock gingerbread cam, no matter what quality video the FPS is around 10-12fps...
Anyone know why?
Edit: It's on 30fps at 1080P with a lot of light, however when it dims a bit, it drops to aroudn 12fps.

Poor video performance in EP1W

Has anyone noticed that the video performance in EP1W seems to have gotten worse than in EE4? I'm talking about things like sliding through home screens, scrolling contacts & text messages, and gaming. I play 3D Bowling at least twice a day (more if we have mexican food), and I'm definitely seeing more jerkyness and skipping in the renderings.
Also, in watching the video tests in Quadrant, you can see that the frame rates listed bump up and down, instead of holding constant values like they used to.
Thoughts?

Sorry, not seeing that problem.

My homescreen transitions and scrolling are faster than in EE4. They were in EP1Q as well, and EP1W just made it better. Apps seems just as smooth if not smoother for me as well.
As for Quadrant, I don't place much stock in artificial benchmarks. What matters to me is how it runs for me with what I run on it, and in that regard, it runs better than EE4 in every perceivable way.

I'm not putting stock in the benchmark itself, just the visible differences in watching it run.
I have frozen a bunch of apps in an attempt to de-bloat, maybe I screwed something up.
Can't say I do either. In fact, my video performance is screaming..
Adobe Flash video performance is dramatically worse. I get the feeling that hardware acceleration is not enabled.
Try this trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRdxXPV9GNQ
On EE4 with or without lag fix I get smooth frame rates up to and including 720p.
On EP1W it's unplayable in 480p and okay (not perfect) in 360p.
Let me know if you get smooth frame rate in 720 or 480p.
This is all within Flash Player inside a browser. Your browser will need to be set to "Desktop" viewing mode. I am not using the Youtube app in my testing.

I think since this is a leak, maybe the adobe flash isn't optimized for it.

MHL adapter issue. 1080p @24hz or [email protected]

I got two tvs
a 46" 1080p
and a 32" 720p
When using the MHL cable in the 1080p tv, the tv picks up 1080p @24hz from the phone which is not what I want. Very slow refresh rate.
My 32" tv is perfect and picks up 720p @50hz.
Obviously the handshake is picking up the best resolution. Is there anyway to force 720p on the big tv?
If anyone is having the same problem, I'm tweaking the kernel to get rid of the 24hz mode. I think I know where it lies.
Yes !!! after hours of searching and figuring out how to compile Kernels, I've found how to force the refresh rate, seems to be an issue with 1080p tvs.
Now getting 720p @60hz on my 1080p tv. which is much better than 24hz which was lag city in games. I'll post more later.
If anyone would like to test this 720p 60hz option with the kernel i've posted below.
It's the DZO overclocked kernel with just this mod made.

Video Recording low light FPS

I noticed that the fps with the Droid mini/maxx/ultra when in low light conditions Hovers around 15fps... Whats mind boggling to me is phones i've had in the past (htc evo 4g lte for example) Held a solid 28 - 30 fps in the same low light conditions with now outdated hardware. I did have a droid 3 back in the day and once rooted you could change a line of code and set min low light fps to 25. Im wondering what work arounds, if any, are there to improve the fps of videos recorded in low light situations.
If I had to guess(I will) its extending the exposure time for each frame.

[Q] Camera recording and battery life on Android 5.1

Hello, so i have my nexus 5 since a little while now, and there is one problem that have always been there : the sound while recording a video.
When recording a video, the sound is AWFUL, probably the worst I've ever heard on a smartphone, seriously. It's like if I was under water or something like that.
That problem ruined some videos that I took with my daughter, videos that I will not be able to shoot again. Precious moments ruined by a ****ty camera. That really makes me upset.
It doesn't matter which android version I'm on, it happens on 4.4.4, 5.0.1, 5.1 (Which I'm currently running)..
Also, the battery is a complete shame after upgrading to android 5.1 .. I used to get 4h30 to 5h SOT, now I'm barely getting 3h to 4h SOT, at the same settings.. (Cataclysm 5.1 + Kernel code_blue r901, CPU governor set at Conservative, min frequency at 600 MHz, max at 1500 MHz).
I don't know what to do anymore as I've tried everything or almost everything to max out the battery and all but in the end I get stupid results as if I were running stock ROM and kernel. I mean, come on, I disabled everything that could eat up battery and underpowered the CPU but I still get stupid battery life. Why ?
I hope you can help me, thanks
For better sound quality I suggest you check out this mod: [MOD] [ROOT] Camcorder Audio Quality Fix with Stereo Recording and Playback Support by chdloc.
The mod is compatible with pretty much any AOSP-based ROM, so I think you should be fine with Cataclysm 5.1.
But since I don't want to be responsable for anything that happens to your phone, especially if it's your daily use phone, I suggest you do a backup.
Check the Aroma installer for easy installation.

Video at 60fps?

Hello,
I have played with the U11+ for a couple of days by now, making many tests, but something that got my mind was the fact that the video at 60fps is not 60fps, and is not even close.
I have tried to record in [email protected], but all the videos come in really low fps, around 30-35. I can immediately notice that is not even changing the fps when I change the mode, and with the output is the same.
Someone with similar experiences?.
Thanks!
Is it was in day sun or at night ?
I think the frames will drop at night but night as much as 30-35 fps
Make sure you have selected 60fps in camera options

As I said, the option is selected and I have tested both in daylight and night.
Frames shouldn't drop that much, because what's the point to choose the option of 60fps if it will record at 30fps?.
I think is a bug of the camera.
