I upgrade my huawei c8600 like as huawei ascend, to cm7 CM7-Ascend-05142011 2.3.4 version and another updated version, my problem was I can't connect internet using phone like as 3g modem with windows dial-up networking. In earlier version 2.3.3 I can use phone like as usb 3g modem. In 2.3.4 I found android modem driver in computer device manager so I tested Query modem but error message appear. I found adb interface device and I can install application with computer. How can I change to phone to 3g usb modem mode or how to solve my problem. Please help me.

i upgraded my phone to 2.3.4 version of android.
After that i am facing a strange problem with USB tethering.
When i connect to internet through USB tethering, it stays connected with PC for a while and after 2 or 3 minutes it gets disconnected.
This is really frustrating.
Please help me ASAP, because i find good 3G speed when connecting through cable, not through Mobile AP.

JVP & JVQ tether hang up for me after opening 10-20 webpages in PC's browser. Tried modem from 2.3.3 (JVH) with 2.3.4 (JVQ), it's a bit better but also hangs up in some minutes. USB drivers are fresh, 1.3.2410, May 2011. Probably we only can wait for official 2.3.4.

I recently bought a new Motorola Atrix 4G MB860 phone and as you know it doesn't support ad-hoc connection. So, in order to enable the phone for ad-hoc I had to root the device and install the ad-hoc enabler. I rooted it with the help of One-Click root software and installed the ad-hoc enabler. Everything was cool and it was enabled for ad-hoc, I got my device connected to my laptop's ad-hoc and surfed the internet using WiFi connection. But on the next day when I tried to connect to the ad-hoc, it showed that there were WiFi connections available but when I choose to connect to the network it doesn't get connected, it doesn't even show the WiFi icon on the notification area. I restored the phone to factory settings several times and it didn't work. Please guys anyone help me with this.

I have a N900 Android 4.0.4 Tablet Allwinner and i tried all I could think to connect it to a internet modem ZTE. It says that it recognises it but there are some problems.
I cannot create a new APN for the modem (does not appear). For this i even restored the factory settings. It still does not work
I installed PPP Widget + SuperSU but when i connect the modem it does not recognises it
I installed APN Manager with all the networks but when i try to select my network the program closes because of some error.
Does anybody know how to solve this kind of problems?

Hi everyone!
I've been using cyanogen since i bought my explorer and i'm completely thankful of the developers, they've made such a great job.
just yesterday i installed CM10.2 (android 4.3) and it seems to work great.
Only issue i have is that I CAN see adhoc networks, but it doesn't connect at all. It tries, and then after a few more attemps it stops detecting the adhoc network.
Is there anything else i'm missing? I'm trying to connect with a linux server via the network manager.
