Hi, everyone! This is my first thread as a skyrocket user!
I just want to check if anyone else has the same issue I have...
I love skyrocket it's my second android phone but the volume rocker sucks!
Never thought I would ever have a problem with volume rocker..
So this is my issue:
The volume rocker's up key is not as solid as the down key! In my case, it has that little noise when I press it as opposed to his twin brother.
This is my second skyrocket and the first also had similar problem, but was actually better in this aspect. .
I can't exchange this because of att policy ..
So I'm here to see if I'm the only unfortunate one XD
Merry Christmas everyone and sorry for the bad English!

the problem was actually on a bluetooth speaker i have. i opened it and had to trim the circutboard to make the board and speaker fit in a very small area and i had to cut off the volume + button from the circutboard and i lowered the volume on accident and could not raise the volume to were i can hear it thats why i wanted to raise the max volume for the bluetooth but after messing with a small strand of copper wire i was able to pull a macgyver and raise the volume back up

If you really want it to be a lot louder and distorted just go to the android market and download the free "Galaxy Tuner" has a lot of options for other stuff besides just the sound/volume and so on.....
Got the update last night so thought I'd try some screenshots and it worked just fine, however today whilst in the messaging app I pressed Home and it took a screenshot, so I pressed it again and it took another. It was as though it was registering me holding in the power button too, which I wasnt. I had to press the power button to turn off the screen then wake it again and unlock in order to return to the home menu.
it also happened later on in the facebook app and I had to do the same. It's a rather annoying problem, as I then have to go and delete all the screenshots out the gallery too.
Anyone else encountered this problem?

Absolutely no one else has had that problem. It's not like many people have stated they have faced this issue and posted about it in several threads and/or started their own, right? You are a shiny unique snowflake for telling us about this problem. Thank you, for you have enriched everyone here with new and fascinating knowledge.
I came from a g2x where taking a screen shot us home plus power. I can try this with you but what is the key sequence on the sensation in oorder to screen cap?

Hi
I wonder if there is a way to configure the volume side button to light the screen instead of the power button or do I just have to wait until natural evolution lengthen my pointing finger
Many thanks

I'm sure someone could make a MOD for rooted ROMs that'll do this. I've never seen anyone request this before, so I'm not sure how much luck you'll have getting that done unless you dev it yourself.
If I had short fingers, I definitely wouldn't have bought this phone, but using the power button isn't a problem for me.

I had to thank you for making me laugh! I don't mind where the power button is personally, just how it's implemented. It's angled forward, your finger reaches from the back which is what makes it difficult to push for me. I would have much rather preferred it be flat or angled towards the back.
Edit: I loved the power button on my Atrix, it was very easy and natural to me.

I'd like to see this mod too. I find the power button a bit hard to reach/push at times. It probably won't be a quick fix, but I'll do some digging.

It's actually a very common request/mod. CM7 ROMs have an option for it as well as some apps, like WidgetLocker, that have an option for it called "Easy Wake". Unfortunately, I haven't found an app that allows for it to work on the One X yet.

I didnt like the angle of the Atrix's power button bc it made me pick the phone up from my desk to wake it up, but i did like how it was recessed a little not to mention that the fingerprint scanner was one of the most useful features i've ever found on a phone. seriously.
There is an app called Button Remapper that does this (I use it on my Evo 4G). I'm not sure if it will work on the One X, I don't have mine yet.

Hey guys, I just got my Nexus 5 today and ive noticed when in a quiet room, if im texting, or anything else that makes the phones vibrate via key press, it makes like a whistle kind of sound from the vibrates motor. It seems kind of weird. Anyone else notice this or could it be a flaw with my phone? I know theres other threads about the faulty vibration phones being shipped out but haven't read anything about this noise I hear.

If I did Id say thats some skills to be able to fart every time I hit a letter on the keyboard when texting. If that was the case I think id need to get myself checked out, not the phone :silly:

I have the same problem. I assumed this was the "vibration defect" I've seen people talk about.
I haven't felt like getting a replacement and honestly I kind of prefer my keyboard without vibration now that I've been using it like that...

Ok at least im not alone :highfive: It doesnt bother me much, I just wasn't sure if it was normal or not. All the other threads I read about the defects with vibration didn't match up. I'm not going to worry about it just yet :silly:
As the title says.
I am tired of finding an app which will bring back the Silent mode in Lollipop, nothing works, including the one which was released earlier today claiming about bringing Silent mode back, SoundHUD, it does not work on my Note 3.
So I am asking this here, in case there is an app and I don't know it.
Again, I have a Galaxy Note 3, so if there's an app which works on a Nexus or those type of devices doesn't mean it will work on mine.
I 2nd this. I want a solution for this as well. App/Script/Hack/Mod.....whatever.

Yeah, I know. It's kinda weird that there's no app or mod for this so far, L is released pretty much for over a month now!
Hit the volume button, then none? It will put the phone in interruption mode and silent. You can even choose when it will go back to sound mode in case you forget to change it back.

Check this article http://www.androidauthority.com/soundhud-lollipop-silent-mode-589336/ Haven't tried it I'm on KK so don't ask, i just remembered i saw it and thought it might do the trick for you.
Apparently, Samsung agrees with us here! The new Sound/Notification/Interruption features suck ballz. They will be fixed immediately in an incoming update rolling around the world.

First of all that will disable all sorts of notifications, I mean the display won't pop up, there will be no LED and most importantly the Alarm sound will be silent too, LOL.
Google is a genius.

Yeah, thanks for mentioning that, but you might have missed my original post. In case any one else gets excited about that app, well let me tell you, it does absolutely nothing. The dev should bugger off honestly.

Thanks for these, I have seen these articles, but as you can see its for S5, but I would like the update on my Note 3 too, I hope they will release it soon.
