Your phone is compatible with the clockwork recovery touch?
Edit
Excuse is the nexus s forum, so it is compatible xD
Make the root of your phone with any application in the market and install the recovery ClockworkMod touch with Rom manager premium or Rom toolbox Pro. Restart recovery using Rom manager or Rom toolbox and do a full cleaning on the phone. Wipe only data and cache.
Now, select from mount and storage mount USB storage and copy over to your i9020 storage any rom ( try using the cm9 ). If the installation is successful restart, if not try some other roms. More than that I do not know how to help.
P.s.: In theory it should go smoothly, otherwise I do not assume any liability for further damage to the phone ... Good luck!

Dead phone after downgrade

Hi
I've tried a few custom ROM on my nexus. But today I was thinking to downgrade my phone to a Stock ROM, Stock-GRH55-Unsigned. So I downloaded the zip-file and upload it to the sdcard and then I run Clockworkmod -> install zip from sdcard and choose Stock-GRH55-Unsigned.zip.
The install of the Stock ROM looked fine so I rebooted my phone and after that is the phone dead .
When I press the on/off-button the phone vibrates and the home and search button lights up and after a while they go out and the two other buttons start to slowly blink.
Does anyone have any idea how I can solve my problem or is my phone dead?

If you can get into the bootloader (volume up + power) then you can try and get into CWM (doubt it will still be intact). From CWM you can wipe and try flashing something else. If you can't get into CWM, you can reflash the recovery image from the bootloader using fastboot.
If you can't do any of the above, then start looking into Odin. I have no experience in Odin though, so can't help you there. Good luck!

Problem with CyanogenMod 7

hello!
i have a GoClever Tab T73 tablet and i wanted to instal a new rom by this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101094&highlight=resistive+touchscreen
i use the Dropad D10 files
i installed ClockworkMod Recovery 5
after the instal it went automaticly to Recovery
and there i instaled the CyanogenMod 7.zip from the sd card
the instalation wentsuccessfully and the Operating system turned on
at first the touchscreen didnt work, but after a couple of seconds the application of the calibration started automatically
and then the Operating system worked fine
but afterwards i accidently turned on the calibration application
and from that moment the touchscreen is not calibrating and im stuck at the "home" screen
i tried to enter the ClockworkMod Recovery 5 to do restore to the old system , but i couldnt managed to get in (maybe because i didnt press the right buttons)
then i tried to flash the ClockworkMod Recovery 5 again through the FWDN but i dont know how to enter to FWDN mode
Thanks in advance for any answers
Maybe try to install Cyanogen.zip again using recovery mode? You may try to wipe data and then install cyanogen again.
Enter recovery using ADB and reboot recovery script, see guide for CWM for Allwinner A10...

[Q] CWM 5.831 and abnormal reset

I flashed CWM 5.8.3.1 and rooted the phone. Everything seems to be fine, except when I reboot form the recovery every time, it gives an "abnormal reset" error with the option to report to HTC. Is this normal?
Thanks!
Same here with CWM v5.1.8.5.
Everything is working although I havnt tried to flash a custom ROM yet.
It's because you used an app or adb to reboot phone into recovery. It's like turning off pc by hitting power button instead of shut down.
If u power it off and reboot into recovery using power and vol down buttons u won't get that
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using Tapatalk 2
I have to say that this is the most finicky phone I've had as far as booting to recovery manually. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Apparently, I haven't found this phone's g-spot yet
It has something to do with the CMW (not being signed?) If I flash the stock recovery back, the error goes away.

[Q] SOLVED Problem flashing CyanogenMod 9.1.0 Stable

I rooted my MT4GS a few months ago but stuck with the stock ROM. I decided I wanted to try out the CyanogenMod 9.1 ICS ROM. I followed the following steps:
1) Installed ROM Manager.
2) ROM Manager indicated a newer version of ClockworkMod Recovery and I installed it (5.0.2.7).
3) Using ROM Manager, did a full backup of the current ROM. All went well.
4) Using ROM Manager, downloaded and installed CyanogenMod 9.1.0 stable-doubleshot. I specified to wipe the data and cache partitions. The installation seemed to go normally.
When the phone rebooted, it was stuck at the logo screen. Had to remove the battery to turn it off. Tried a couple times, still the same.
Since I had the backup, I decided I would use CWM to restore the old ROM.
When I boot into recovery mode, it shows CWM 5.0.2.7, but whatever option I try to choose from the recovery menu, The screen just goes blank with the CWM logo in the middle and nothing else happens. Hitting the power button returns me to the menu, but no option works, even power down or reboot. It just goes back to the CWM logo again and I have to remove the battery to shut it down.
So, I thought I would try using fastboot to flash the ROM again. When I boot the phone into the boot loader and select fastboot, then plug the phone in via USB, nothing happens. Windows does not see the phone and ADB or fastboot don't see it either. It's not a driver issue, as the computer is still setup from when the computer was rooted and I connect the phone all the time with no problems.
When the phone is off and plugged into USB or the charger, I still get the charging light, though it goes off after about 10 seconds, then comes back on and cycles like that.
Is there anything I can try at this point, or is my phone bricked? It seems like I followed all the steps correctly. Is there an update.zip I can put in the root folder and see if it picks it up?
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, after rebooting Windows, I was able to get the USB connection to the phone to work in fastboot. It seems I missed the step described in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508556
which states with S-ON you must flash the boot.img separately. I did that via fastboot and the phone boots into cyanogenmod now.
However, I still seem to have the issue with clockwordmod recovery. As long as I do the recovery functions from rom manager, everything is fine, but when I manually boot into the recovery menu, I get the same behavior of any choice from the menu just blanks the screen except for the CWM logo and nothing happens. I tried reflashing the recovery image using fastboot, but still no go.

This is solved also. Seems on the MT4GS, the trackball is the selection button. The power button appears to only be a back button.
What a thread! Two nicely phrased problem definitions, two well explained solutions, and all from the same guy. Sorry we weren't able to help directly, but you obviously found the answers you needed elsewhere in the forum. And you updated the title as well to show it was solved. Thanks.

(WT88047-Redmi 2 Prime). Unable to open TWRP recovery mode without OS

I installed TWRP 3.3.0 sucessfully on my Redmi 2 prime which was lagging a lot to install a custom rom. I wiped out all the previous data using twrp recovery mode. I had my rom zip file on my sd card. So to mount that ( had to remove battery) I reboted my phone without an OS. now I am unable to go into recovery mode. When I try power + Volume up button, my phone keeps getting rebooted in a loop. Using volume down + power button I am able to go into fastboot only. How can I get into recovery mode. Please help!!!!
I have a backup of stock firmware (excluding data) on a sd card.
PS: I read a similar thread here for a samsung device. The guy solved his problem using odin. what should I do.
