[ROM]Bionix BIUI UCKl2 12/27/2011 Working Root,Recovery + Video [ROM] - Samsung Infuse 4G

I fell in love with the MIUI look and feel. I absolutley love the ability to customize on the fly and the speed was insane. Though I dreaded the battery life, sound and HDMI( also GPS was weird sometimes. ) TO I present to you, my loyal minions :

An extremely fast and stable work of art! There are going to be many more additions added to the stack, specially with the input from my fellow flashaholics.
This build is based upon the UCKl2 leak with some library files from the UCJ4 builds to achieve working video and hardware acceleration. I want everyone to give a big thank you to Dman for coming up with this amazing hack!
It does include Voodoo Lagfix, Recovery and Sound as of 12/27/2011
IT does not have OC,does have UV
IT does have working video
IT is insanly fast & stable
IT does include the Thunderbolt Tweaks
No more working HDMI ( this is temporary working hard on a fix)
This is Build Number #4. Please read the change log in the post below to get a better understanding of whats going on.
Read the post below for change logs.
I really give Samsung credit for this build, they successfully removed Carrier IQ and made things so smooth like butter!
INSTALL
Just to make sure the BatteryStats.bin is properly formed, I charge the phone 100% then flash the phone. If you flash the phone at anything below that, *it* can report to the OS differently.
With a kernel with working RED recovery,
place on SD card and flash away.
[On 12/27/2011, I uploaded Build 4 with out Entropy's Daily Kernel, please re-download and install. Corrected as of 12/28/2011]
DOWNLOAD:
Bionic Build 4 Download
After Installation, please let the phone sit for a few minutes to build the Dalvik Cache and settle before jumping into the fun.
For good measures, if you are using the stock Go Launcher Ex launcher, I go into preferences -> advanced settings -> and enable
High Quality Drawing
System persistent
Prevent force close

[reserved for changelog]
[Change log for Build 4]
The True Bionic boot animation is back
Added Dman's MMS free Logprovider.apk
Added some more Build.prop tweaks
Added Entropy's Daily Driver back to the mix into I can properly get my working stock kernel ( its at 99% at least!)
Add the Thunderbolt Tweaks
Fixed Root and Recovery ( 95% of that was due to Entropy's Kernel)
Added some of the video libraries from the UCKJ4 builds to fix the video ( Thanks Dman for that awesome idea! )
Borrowed Dman's Insanely awesome instal script from Zeus
[Change log for Build 3]
Added Build.prop and init.rc tweaks for UI speed and network speed.
Added Extended Power Menu
Changed some more settings in the SystemUI for the drop down menu
Removed Over-scroll Glow and some odd borders
Made NON-wipe to install over Build 2. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend, specially coming from any other ROM to perform a DATA
FACTORY RESET.
Border-less - Extended Power Menu! Next Update Will be served up shortly. Does anyone know how to center it better though?

Awesome bro....ima test this now....love to see infuse development keep rolling...thank you...

Out of everyone here right now, I want to thank you Dman. With out your hard work and determination to become a successful dev, I wouldn't have had a great stock ROM to work from. You really poured the foundation for the past two ROMS that I developed, cause to be honest, as great at kernel development and smali hacker I am, I cannot deodex a rom to save my life. Thanks again!

If you ever need help or have questions i will be happy to answer them, though Dman probably will, but who knows about that guy.

Thanks bro...I really appreciate it

Thanks for the ROM..
how to disable voodo? I am on saurom, I want to make sure, its voodoo is disabled before flashing this.. I am at work, so dont want to brick phone at work.
I think I can flash without any problem with Saurom? please confirm..

Hell yeah something new to play with!!! Stupid question not sure this I'd why I'm asking. Can we use a gb kernel like infusion? And adrenaline tweaks wont work as of right now correct?

In CWM go to voodoo lagfix and select...then select disable voodoo...reboot and let voodoo disable...then reboot back to recovery and flash bionix

Thanks dman.. i will do that..

You can use other kernels, but as LB put it best, it breaks ****. You wont be able to view movies or videos of any sort. 99% of the tweaks are included, just not in init.rd as of right now. I had to hard code them into the file system. I have a kernel I will be releasing shortly based on stock, that has working recovery and voodoo, just not yet. Its still a stable setup, just lags really oddly sometimes.

The one thing that caused me to leave MIUI was lack of bluetooth audio. Looking forward to trying this out today.

Sounds like a good rom to flash and leave alone and enjoy. I know some roms have different steps to flash if coming from cm7 or miui is there any with bionix?

Come on now D u know I'm not new to flashing just want to make sure there wasn't anything else besides disable voodoo get back to red cwm. Like format anything at work don't want to brick.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App

TBH, coming from CM7 or MIUI , I would odin stock due to the RFS format. Unless you can go into ADB shell , and format the /system , /cache and /dbdata with rfs.format in recovery, I wouldnt take the chance. LEt me know what process you did, and Ill update OP and credit you.

I'll let you know

Hey guys, all the working on the kernel has slowed development on the rom here it is working and very stable, we prefer you use the modified stock TWlauncher, but just to let you know there is a landscape bug in it still, landscape = a little jacked up, havn't had time to fix it...

Especially love the dialer colors those are boss.
do we need to wipe if we are coming from the last batman rom. or can we just flash right over it.

Um... well just to see if you needed to wipe or not b4 you install this updated rom, I installed it over batman 2.2.7 and when I booted I kept gettin g-talk errors. I suggest wipeing but the good thing is that the setup wizard is back and will pull your applications from the market for you.
anybody else lose their dialer. No phone icon on the dock or in applications folder...
Never mind!! I downloaded from my XDA app the first time and I guess I did not get a piece...worked fine with a computer download.
LOVIN' THIS ROM/THEME!!!
Hey how about instead of making new threads over and over and over for the same rom, you just edit the first post?
The next thread you make for the updated rom, I will close and redirect back to this thread as it will be considered SPAM.

Ok, if you use this it will change the version info in the about phone to mammon's 1.0.3.1, but yes is safe to use, if you give me about and hour I will have the same update with the Batman version info in it. Sorry got a few things to do b4 working on this.
Also I would like to say I'm bringing back in version 2.2.9 the 1% increment blinking charging battery icon, I liked knowing what % it was at when it was chaging.
Update: please install 2.2.8 b4 using this update.
Also no wipe needed for this update just clock work it...

First off, love your work, of all the roms here, bonsai was the most stable, while yours LOOKED fantastic...so glad the two of you pooled resources...The last Superman has been the best so far, was looking forward to Batman, keep up the good work!
With that said, when I flashed Batman, my GPS went awol so I went back to Supes...
Don't know what went wrong, wiped 3X, wipe cache and wiped the other cache too...
Holding my breath for the next one...take care!

GPS working a ok on my phone. It took awhile to find but once I went outside it hooked up great. You need to add the *working* Gingerbread keyboard stock. I love mine added some nexus live wallpaper,GB keyboard and removed the clock in the upper corner.. Sweetness

Try redownloading I'm in the process of switching servers because mediafire isn't the greatest, also do not download from the xda app there is a problem with the downloads on here it misses bits and pieces...
Also I gotta say I love Mammons work his rom's are always so stable and I do not have the time to produce anything to the even compare to his caliber of work right now, this is why I have borrowed his rom as a basis for this project.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
would it be better to just make these into themes if they just basically on top of mammons rom?

They are not just mammon's rom's I do change certain things to my likeing... And I did just post a framework theme... If you want to make it a theme go right ahead and pull all of the apk's you need and make it an update it is super super easy...
pull from /system/app in the original rom zip
Contacts.apk
DialerTabActivity.apk
TouchWiz30Launcher.apk
pull from /system/framework in the original rom zip
framework-res.apk
twframework-res.apk
pull from /system/media/video/shutdown
all 60 of the pngs in this folder.
pull from /system/etc
PowerOn.wav
pull from /system/media/audio/ui
Power_off.ogg
shutdown.ogg
these are all of the themed apk's and files so far, I believe...
then download the 2.2.8.2 update zip I made place these in the same folders inside the zip as the original rom and viola a theme/update zip that you can test out on any rom you would like.
Also you might have to make a new folder or two for the shutdown animation, PowerOn.wav, shutdown, and Power_off.ogg inside the update.zip...
I know this theme works with this rom that is why I do it this way and I in no way recommend doing what I have suggested above, as I have no way of knowing if it will work with any other rom... I will say that it will most likely work with Mammon's...
O'yeah and it will change the build # in the about phone section to Superheroes 2.2.8.2 Batman (that is if anyone attempts this)
Also if you attempt this please let us know what roms it works with and please make sure there are no bugs b4 you post that it works with another rom...
I'm sorry I figure if you are going to risk even soft brickin your phone that I do not want to be respossible for it and you yourself can attempt this...
yea, I'm just gonna stick with this rom, thats a lot of work LOL.
is there anyway to fix the rotation speed? thats the only thing that sucks now, waiting 3 secs for the phone to switch from portrait to landscape. my wifes stock epic switches instantly.
True quadrant score of 1095 with this rom (no silly i/o hack)...
I just installed the latest version. I didn't wipe, everything seems fine but behind the keypad, there is some image, is that normal

NOTES
Need help with BLN? Check here: BLN Support
This kernel is still in beta! Please help us test for stability. Logs are always welcome
This is still Bryan's kernel, the only changes I have made were to the initramfs and a few changes here and there to the kernel itself.
Bryan is developing again! This thread will continue to be open to discuss the new releases here unless he decides to open his other kernel thread for XDA.
FEATURES
In addition to the changes bhundven has made:
SuperSU instead of Superuser (adds root support using the kernel alone, regardless of which ROM you install this on)
BLN support added (thanks to neldar and our newest Team Acid member m4xm4n) MARKET LINK
Includes a Team Acid boot splash and recovery image (courtesy of theexel and Tablador)
Cleaned up voodoo extensions directory to remove zipalign for TW launcher
Forcing an ext4 conversion by default regardless of lagfix option
Enabled cifs, fuse and tun kernel modules
NOTES
Want to change your boot splash image? Here's a git repo that helps you do just that:

(Thanks to tablador who linked me to this!)
INSTRUCTIONS

Enable SVNET_WHITELIST to fix wakelock reboot problems
Bump version to '-sms-kj6-v0.2.0-bml'
Integrated lights.s5pc110.so into the initramfs to add BLN support
-- The kernel itself now copies the file to the rom instead of doing it via CWM
The CWM zip should no longer cause your phone to reboot after the kernel flashes
April 8, 2012
v0.1.1-rc3
Now using SuperSU instead of Superuser
BLN support added (thanks to neldar and our newest Team Acid member m4xm4n)

Modified the ext4 conversion process to use the bonsai defaults
Forcing an ext4 conversion by default regardless of lagfix option
Removed check for froyo anti_boot_glitch since this is a GB kernel

FB,
I have had to revert both my wifes and my phone to version 2d because of random reboots and locking up with the last 2 of Bhund's releases. Been back on 2d for 6 days now, not a single reboot or lock-up. Do you believe any of the changes you have made will prevent this happening? Or should I stay on 2d for now?
As always, thanks for the contribution.
At the moment it's essentially the same as Bryan's kernel. I've only changed some of the voodoo files right now but you can test if you wish

FB you are the man!
Awesome work.
I've looked at Bryan's commits between 0.1.0 and 0.1.1 and actually there was not much. The changes were only to the config file to disable DMA, DIDLE, and some serial interface that got there from aries config. Bigger changes that brought in some kernel code happened before 0.1.0. But the 0.1.0 does not make my phone reboot, and the latest changes don't seem to be significant enough to cause reboots.
I'm going to try this build and see how it behaves. Maybe it was something silly like Bryan's 0.1.1 build was somehow damaged during compilation/linking/packaging.
Good job FB!

Ya. And I did before.. I'm embarrassed to admit that I forgot the issue that made my stop using the CMW 5 version. I probably should've posted in the stupid questions thread.
Thank you for your reply
Big Thanks FB! And Team Acid!
Just flashed and love your new logo..sorry for the stupid question about full restore. I kinda fell behind a little and even forgot some stuff lol.
Hell yeah Team ACID
Looks like that freenode session had some results. I'll give it a go. Thanks.
Pure awesome.

I had some random reboots when I first flashed Valhalla Black but not sure if it was from the kernel or the ROM. Either way, it was most likely something I screwed up.
Just flashed this new update on my phone and it seems like everything transitions way faster than it used to. And all my apps seem to load faster. I'm mostly sober so I'm reasonably sure I'm not seeing things
Anyway, I don't talk on here much cuz I only get half of wtf you guys are talking bout. Plus there's too many lazy ingrates. But FB, you and the other actual decent people who spend hours working for free have made owning this phone a blast. Thanks for everything you all do and if there's ever anything I can do that doesn't require hard work of any kind, lemme know.

Not yet. I'm gonna be doing some more work on the scripts tonight since the kernel takes WAY too long to boot. What I noticed from a quick logcat inspection I did before I left home in the morning, it's zipaligning everything every time. I'm thinking it'd be better to only force the zip align once a week so that way you still get speedy apps and you don't have to suffer every time you reboot .

Hmm. Has it been only certain ROMs giving you reboots? I haven't had issues so far but I have my phone in my pocket all day so I haven't noticed if it does reboot.
Modified kernel (Fb) + VB (Raver) + Adrenaline shot VB with scroll cache tweak (dsexton) = Triple acid burn!

UCLB3 modified for just that much more functionality needed for average user and good battery life.
Removed:
All AT&T and Samsung Bloatware.
Modified:
14 Toggle quickpanel (Thanks Lidroid)
EPM (Thanks Dman)
Little theming and transparent Dialer.
DD's Entropy Kernel.
Works:
Everything. Only HDMI is not tested. GPS, Bluetooth Audio, Facebook Sync all work.
Installation:
1. Download the ZIP
2. Place on your Internal SD card
3. Boot into CWM(Red perfered)
4. Wipe data/cache/dalvik cache
5. Select Install from SD Card
6. Select SimplySpartan.zip
7. Reboot and Enjoy!
8. Let the ROM settle for a good 5 Minutes.
If coming from Froyo make sure you have GB bootloaders.
Suggestions:
I use this with Go LauncherEX and the two gel very well. You could install any of the Tweaks like Supercharger or Adrenaline Shot.
Who could use this ROM: If you like the innumerable addons like lockscreens and stuff, perhaps you will not like this ROM. The average user who needs little more functionality and better battery life would benefit. This has been my daily driver for last 3 weeks. No crashes.

That's absolutely correct. Some users face problems due to addons and the ROM gets a bad name.

I believe it's ment...unknowing & unwilling users...grrr among themselves...because of their lack of wanting to learn their systems add on`s or tweaks....so they blame the ROM....when we know a lil research...they see how powerful and great the add on`s & tweaks really are for all these ROMs...IMHO

The "Bad Name" terminology is not from the Infuse section. None of the ROMs here have a bad name
As for Growth, as long as we have seniors like you it's always going to happen. Thanks
Great ROM
Great concept, simple is best, current is good. I have tried ROMs in the past just to get a legible, informative battery icon ... please don't change this.
You should be a little more complete in your OP describing the ROM. I wasn't sure if this ROM would be rooted, etc. Was glad that it was.
Keep up the good work (but only when necessary).
Thanks Wilkij for appreciation. Entropy's Kernel implies root. So I did not specifically mention about the Rooted part. All custom ROMs here will be rooted unless otherwise indicated.
Just put in Go Launcher as I recomended and you will get a lot of customisation. My screens are with Go launcher with ICS theme.

Just a subtle difference here.
Just flashing entropy's kernel will give you cwm recovery that he has included.
I'm not certain it installs busybox and su to give you the "root" access you are looking for.
The uclb3 base that you used was "rooted" by dman using the infusion kernel and adding busybox and su to the rom.

[ROM][WIP][Team NoOb.LuLz]Ligux Port[*UPDATED*]

INTRODUCE
So, what the hell is team NoOb.LuLz?...It's Kyndig66 and solrac1212 (yay) and me ^^...We're just some noob members and just try to port roms (not two devs honestly) but our main goal is try to translate some Chinese in Chinese roms that Erikmm's ported to this device. So, we just port roms for fun and try to translate it if we can (since we're still noobs now ) and I hope devs will help us ...Anyway, our port is not totally perfect (just a port, nothing more like tweaks or kernels or ice cream sandwich or cupcake...blah blah ) just serve people who wanna try something new (like Lewa OS that I can found similar to ^^), not who wanna request the perfect build for daily stuff when this is just our 1st build. But, our rom(s) IS NOT EXCLUSIVE as well since I know Erikmm is far far far far...la la la...far far far better from us and he will seriously port one of those Chinese roms for your daily purpose if he finds that would be necessary (our port is JUST FOR FUN or for new rom flavor).
About Ligux OS
This is Ligux OS, which is ported from HTC Desire official build.
It's based on CM7.2 R11.
It has some build.prop tweaks from Team Kickass's Mokee build 2.
The UI is exactly the same as CM7 except the Switches and Coopoui (find out yourself).
For me, It's smooth and not much Chinese.
Reboot to recovery isn't working.

I have to say: THIS IS AN MTD ROM...you MUST follow these steps to flash (Thanks Team Acid and Kickass for these instruction)
1 .Download the following:
efs-backup link : efs-backup
efs-restore link : efs-restore
Ligux rom
2. Place those three files in root of your sd card
3. Backup data with Titanium Backup or whatever app you use (optional)
4. Reboot to recovery
5. Do a Nandroid Backup
6. Flash EFS-Backup
7. Backup sd card to your computer ( you can do this by going to mounts and storage
and mount USB storage, this way you wont leave recovery and the efs backup is in there too)
8. Flash Ligux rom (it will start then reboot itself into blue cwm)
9. Go to Mounts and Storage
10. Format System
11. Mount System
12. Go back to main menu
13. Wipe data/factory reset
14. Go into Install zip from sdcard
15. Choose zip from sdcard
16. Flash efs-restore
17. Flash Ligux rom
18. Reboot.
19. Let it sit for 10 mins or so.
20. Enjoy.
.
.
.
I'm not quite sure it WILL boot :-"...LOL, JUST KIDDING, IT WILL BOOT
Optional: disable scrolling cache in CM7 performance settings for better feeling

Jeez! Is anyone keeping "score?" The Bible, good as it is one basics, is useless in this regard. What we need is a chart (or maybe a family tree) showing which ROMs are related and what characteristics they have. Easier said than done by lazy and less adventurous bastards like me.
Here you go:

Question. Went through the directions and after I flashed legux, it will not boot at all. Did not boot back into recovery, and can not normal boot. As many times as I have flashed this phone, this is a new problem for me. On my way home to see if I can even Odin back, but I thought this was odd

Have you tried pushing the apk to \system\apps? Pinyin was developed by Google China Labs hence the layout. You can use whichever keyboard you prefer. lumin30 has all of the stock gingerbread apk's here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1500701
