Hey there guys,
For some reason my phone started vibrating during calls like 2-3 weeks ago. I have no idea why it is vibrating but it is starting to get really annoying. It vibrates like every 5-10 seconds during the call and on pick-up and hang-up. Anybody have any ideas how to solve this? would appreciate it deeply.
I am on absolution 1.1 currently

Check in the settings > calls, there should be some setting there that allow you to mess around with the vibration settings. I know there is an option to have it vibrate on pick up and hang up. If not there, check the CM settings.
You could also flash the newest Absolution Rom. If youre going to do that please follow all steps.
Vibrating
Check your settings and also reread the DEVs thread. It can be a setting related issue and it could also be a rom issue. I know this as I was running a rom that the DEV stated to turn the vibration setting off (uncheck) as it may be a little buggy.

This just started happening and I was wondering if it was just me. I have had my VZ TP2 for several months now and always get email and txt notification with a short vibration as per my settings.
Recently, I have noticed that the vibration notice seems to be getting longer.. Normally it vibrates for about 1 second when I get a notification. But now it seems to vibrate for 2 and 3 times that length. Earlier this morning I received an email and it vibrated for a good 5 seconds.
It seems to come and go - any thoughts?
It happens with my verizon touch pro 2 also. It also happened with my xv6800. I think it is a windows mobile problem.
In general section I remember saw a thread for modifying vibration patterns
Hope that helps
I have been having a similar issue. I have phoneweaver, I noticed when it is set to vibrate it gives me quick little vibrations, but when just set to normal i get the long. It is really annoying because when i get a call i have to answer and then wait for the vibrations to stop. I have been looking for an app that might fix this.
Anyone have a clue, I have done some searching but have turned up nothing useful.
worked on my TP2

I have SPRINT TP2 and I also have had problems with the vibrations. It is only with SMS. I have had the phone vibrate for over 1 minute until the phone it self rebooted. This has happened a few times since January. It had not happened bofore that. I have the stock SPRINT ROM on my phone.
Hey there. I got a bit of a problem with my Nexus S, which I've had since January. I didn't notice it much at first, but now it's worse than ever. When someone calls and I push the button to pick it up, the buttons disappears, as if it takes it, but it keeps ringing. Then sometimes, after about 5 seconds, it still takes it. Problem is that most of the time when it does this, I can't hear the person in the other end, but they can still hear me. This is only a problem on incoming calls, not outgoing.
The reason why I ask for help now, is that I noticed when installing a SDK build of ICS, I didn't have this problem, everything was all right. But today, when installing a AOSP build, it starts doing this again.
This problem persists across wipes, and different radio images.
My belief is that there must be some system files in the SDK builds that fixes this problem.
If anyone has a suggestion on how to fix this, other than me digging through system files and trying to replace random files and see if it works, please tell!
Regards, Adam Honoré.
If you feel like you need a better explanation, Please tell.
I can upload a video demonstrating it.
Gonna bump this with new info.
I forgot to mention that after calls, when I press the hangup button, it just stays there for about 10 seconds before hanging up.
hi all.
the problem i have that i hope to get help with is this, everything was OK until around a month ago when i noticed it wasn't waking up from sleep.
after trying to pinpoint the problem i discovered that it was freezing when asked to wake either by power button or by notification- e-mail texts and the like, but not as far as i know when receiving calls. that seems to be ok so far....
now here is the twist...non of this happens when plugged into the mains/USB power or when its kept from sleep by say my music or radio app.
so guys and gals, does anyone have any ideas that will help either cure this or are there any apps that can run in the background without killing my battery too much
Thanks in advance

That is what we call the Sleep of Death. So far there really isn't a fix for it. For me it was one of the apps I installed that was causing the problem along with the custom rom I had installed too. Here's more information on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707521 and I found this to see if it might help http://www.ehow.com/how_12183457_can-stop-sleep-death-android.html
I'm literally at breaking point, I'm waiting for a phone call from a company I've applied to work at, and they've called me six times in the last 3 days, possibly to say that I've got the job. However I'm unable to contact them back, as they're a government group, and I can't answer my phone calls.
I have a Nexus 5, with the Carbon ROM installed.
When I recieve a call, the screen does not turn on, light up, or give me a way to answer the call.
If I press the power button to turn the screen on, it dismisses the call.
If the phone is already on/unlocked or I'm using it, or even staring at the desktop, there's no notification, or pop-up displaying the call.
I've gone through all the settings, and used different apps, and I can't figure it out.
I really like Carbon ROM, and I'd prefer to not have to uninstall it as the others uninterest me (cyanogen, dirty unicorns, and a few others + stock)
Please help me!!!

As it's pretty important, go back to stock until you know about the job, then go back and look at the issues with Carbon. Chances are there are no quick fixes and obviously work is a tad more important than fixing your phone right?
Yeah that's what I've done for now, gonna try to find a fix over the next few days, I can't seem to see any; perhaps I might have changed a setting, so I'll reinstall it soon to see if on default mod settings works.
I have come across this myself once or twice using Liquid and Slim, whatever the issue was a fresh clean install fixed it as I now use Slim without issues. - Random Android anomaly I guess.
When I receive a call, sometimes when I slide to answer the call it won't register the slide gesture. Is anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix this? Thanks.
Are you on Stock Lollipop? Custom Rom?

Well, being on stock limits what you can do.
I would suggest a factory reset within the settings menu if you want to try and fix it. I haven't been on stock in awhile.
I've been running into, what I will call, hiccups with Lollipop as well. It will randomly freeze for 10 seconds and not register anything, which may be what you are seeing. If you keep trying the gesture, does it eventually work?

Eventually it will, but most of the time the call screen goes away before it registers. I tried a factory reset and that seems to be helping. Helped a lot with my memory problem.
dont get me started....

I have been having all sorts of issues with my S5 stock. The phone answers the calls on its own. When I call someone back, the phone is still ringing. I can call someone one minute and the next I lose signal and to reboot to fix it. I still love my S5, but right now I am torn between staying on stock and going back to the PAC ROM.
