4G speeds

I was wondering what everyone is getting on 4g speeds. Today I ran it once and got 3.3MB upload and 1.5 mb download.

It's going to vary by area.
My highest download has been 6181kbps and my upload 1599kbps.
I live in the middle of nowhere.
On my iPhone 3GS the highest i ever got was 3000 or so kbps and upload 380kbps. So the hardware is capable, just need the towers to be able to keep up.
I have a friend with the HTC 4G for ATT and he once got 11xxx kbps download.

dont use the peed tset apps. they have been very inconsistant for me latey. i test on speakeasy.com with the browser. i get 5-6mbps down but only 500k or so up. my area has hsdpa+ but not hsupa+ and for some reson it doesnt use the available hsupa when conneded to hsdpa+. i have hsupa enabld on my captivate and get up to 2mbps upload.

Weird. When I'm at home it won't go over 2.0 then I go across town and I got 8.9mbps at my local Walmart ... central valley CA

Probably signal going to a different tower.

I get around 6 down and 2 up live in central texas.

Sort of off topic but how do you get that little box showing your speedtest.net results in your signature?

My highest was 9.4mbps download and 1.8mbps upload.

Which cities? I live in hazleton which is due for 4g on the 21st, and I haven't noticed the 4g tests periods at all yet

Wilkes-Barre, PA is up and running since this morning. Here is hoping they don't turn it back off. It was on for a couple weeks before the announce date in the Allentown/Lehigh area also. I got 8mbps down on a quick test. Just upgraded the MIFI to a 4g MIFI too.

Scranton has been up since this morning... Nice speeds too..

Hopefully we can get some 4g love here in Western, PA as well.

Well I saw hazleton mentioned on the same bracket as wb/ scranton so I hope they just takin longer cuz its further east. How does the phone transition to 4g when on WiFi? Or you wouldn't notice cuz its not using WiFi instead of tower connections?

4g just turned on in pardeesville tonight, which is on the outskirts of hazleton. Got 9.1 mbps down.

I remember Verizon saying they'd get to everyone by '13. They have it at my work in Paoli, but not in Exton...

Sprint 4G in Tyler, TX

We have limited 4G coverage in Tyler, TX. It's based around the mall. But that's about it.

I wanted very badly to be able to switch from AT&T to Sprint. I tried it for about three days but I was roaming in my living room. And I live on South Broadway. That was the end of 2011.

Sometimes I can connect to it out in the parking lot of my job down off duncan street.

I've been waiting for a loooong time for sprint 4G to come to phoenix, but I'm not sure its ever going to happen.

Yea, I hate to champion one corrupt corporation over another, but I'd much rather be on at&t's network since the fall-back network is still leaps and bounds faster than Verizon's fall-back network (and they have had a number of outages on their LTE network this year so far). Fortunately I live in San Antonio so I have access to 3 major carriers' LTE networks.
That said, at&t can piss off with their restrictive policies. I only hate Verizon slightly more.

But my God 25mbs is amazing if could offer that every where I pay tom more I just wish my wifi that fast

I get LTE for AT&T in weird places here. I live in Oklahoma and get LTE of course in the bigger areas but sometimes LTE 4g in like small towns kind of cool but kind of weird.

You think 25Mbps is fast, check my sig...

Lol yeah. I just came back from Anaheim. Hot damn. 16 Mbps. But speed test used up 30 MB of data... I'm now being charged $30 for using 204.6 MB of data. >_>

4G LTE now in Cleveland Ohio .. Wahoooo

Was just outside with my brother enjoying the night air .. when all of a sudden I noticed the LTE symbol show up on my phone .. Cleveland, Ohio .. now has LTE

Well .. you missed it by also about 220 miles !!! Kings Island is Northeast of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio .. I'm in Cleveland .. LOL

Ha! I misread the title. My bad. Well Cincinnati didn't have LTE either and I was still depressed. Lol

Sooooo Vermont or Connecticut??
Not to rub it in, but crazy fast LTE speeds in the boston metro area. 20-30mbps down average, high score of around 57mbps.

Columbus generally turn up shortly after the Cleveland market. I live in the Mentor area, 20 minutes east of Cleveland and it is on here as well. I was speed test on my Vivid, Lumia and Skyrocket and was averaging around 20-30Mbps and maxing at 50 on the Skyrocket.

On a side note, has anyone experienced terrible battery life with that widget?

Not at all .. I'm running the latest SkyICS from Sean (as seen in my signature) .. using the Nova Launcher Prime and the widget .. Regular usage for daily business, I'm getting anywhere from 16 to 28 hours (28 on a light day).
Overall .. excellent.

CT. If Vermont (or New Hampshire) gets it first we riot (maybe.)
I got to experience LTE speeds when I was in NY and ATL recently and I averaged over 30mbps. I'm sure this is to do with the networks not being taxed so much. I can't wait for the new iPhone to be released which will slow down those LTE speeds due to excessive bandwidth use, much like they did to their 3G network. Knowing my luck we will get the iPhone 5 before we get LTE here.

Oh how i hate the iPhone..... I highly doubt Vermont would get it before you.. NH maybe... But i would think you CT guys would be high priority for some LTE love with all the casinos and what not

Strange, when I used that widget with the weather I had some crazy battery drain because it wanted to poll every minute, which was the latest option.

Youre now just getting it? I'm in Akron/Canton/Stow area and we've had it for 2 months now.. Strange.
It kind of makes sense as to why yesterday, in the basement of Great Lakes Brewery (Holy Moses is my new favorite beer, btw and they have GREAT food), i was getting 28/19. I then went to the RHCP concert. It was a great day. Ohh yeah, i had a connoli from the west side market too. It was awesome. and free icecream. It was wonderful. haha
