Hi...
I have LG P500 and the usb is dead(is not working and yes i have try to another pc). I want to root it and i have firmware 2.3.3 V20g official from LG. I have try Gingerbreak v1.20 , z4root and no luck... Can anyone help me plz...? Thanks...
When you say the USB is dead, you mean there's something wrong with the phone, and the computers are ok? The phone port is dead, but it will charge?
The usb is damaged... Is not working... I have try to fix it but not chance so i remove it... I place the battery to universal charger to charge it..
I understand your desire to root the device, but without the ability to connect to a computer, it's really dangerous. If something goes wrong with installing a custom recovery, for example, you'll have no way to unbrick it (kdz, etc.).
I would try to get the USB port repaired, before you dream about flashing things.
I am aware of dangerous and i am ok with it, so you know any way to root my device...?

I was going to suggest an adb WiFi program, but apparently you need root for that :s all of the new methods I have seen require adb . Will keep looking and will let you know if I find a solution.

Yeah, I'm not personally aware of any way to root the P50x without a computer, especially since we don't really have a stock recovery.
I am also waiting for rooting tool without using PC because I don't have PC.

So, I rooted and installed CM10 on my Kindle Fire. Works great.
I try to do the same thing on my best friends KF, and now the KFU utility won't recognize the device. It say boot status is unknown and Offline.
I'm running Windows 7, KF version 6.3.2
Any ideas?
Also; thank you very much, xda-developers. My KF works WAY better than it did stock. I'm in love with it, and would really like to be able to do the same thing for my friends.
Cheers,

Links?
Anybody have some good links on where I can find out how to root a new Kindle on the same PC?

I'm about to get a KF Gen1 and do the whole shebang to JB 4.2.2. I saw someplace that you have to uninstall the drivers and reinstall them from the KFU zipfile.

You need to load the drivers in both regular and fastboot mode. Copy down the device IDs when they install and then you need to deinstall the drivers, update the INF file with the new deviceID strings and then reinstall the drivers.
Hello XDA,
I recently got a OnePlus One and today i started using it. Generally i root my phone 6 months after i get it but i wanted to transfer all my data from my old to the new phone. I am using titanium back on my old phone(gs3). Thus i wanted to root my new phone(1+1) however i am having driver problems. I installed the adb drivers but it's still not working. I am using the toolbox from the official xda dev rooting video. i tried everything from reinstalling the drivers to going into fastboot mode. It hasnt worked at all. Please help. And yes i did turn on dev settings on my phone.
Thanks.
First piece of advice: ditch the toolkit, you really don't need it. Where did you get the drivers?

For me, drivers installed best when in fastboot. Couldn't get them to install when connecting as mtp.
Alright, I have installed many...many ROM's and I've happened to had a clusterf*** of drivers get installed over and over and I've checked with USBDeview and I have the same crap about 50 times, maybe not exactly the same but if you think about it it's technically the same driver just for another ROM that I most likely will never use again. My question is, should I remove them all and just install the ones I need?
Unequivocally: YES!
If you're running Windows, it's finicky enough with drivers already! Having a clusterf** of drivers installed sooner or later will cause you headache.
If I retire a device I uninstall the drivers and all related software...
What's up guys. I'm running into a problem and I need help. Google searching is failing me, but I'm sure there is probably a blatantly obvious way to do this.
I'm trying to install a Cm12 lolipop rom on my stump rooted tmobile Lg g3, but I dont know what to do.
I need a custom recovery but all of the ones I'm finding need a computer. All I have is my phone and my wifi. So where can I find and how do I install a custom recovery to install the rom?
Thanks for any help.
