sorry for my bad english
will some one help me OR not??
man I have the exact same problem. Can anyone help?
higher bitrate cause this problem
maybe next update can fix this problem
sorry for may english
then is there any way to low the bit rate????
unfortunatly no
lg company don't care about this problem
may be xda developer team can fix this problem
For now you can set your resoulation on D1 from camera settings and wait for fix
good luck
actually I think there is a way to lower the bitrate. In video quality there's three options: normal, fine, superfine.I have superfine as default and sometimes causes me problems(video saved on internal storage because my microsd is class 4-lower writting than internal).Try fine or normal (I prefer fine) to see if it's ok.
I may buy a class 10 microsd so that it can deal with high bitrate videos
Great that's Worked for me
set resoulation on Full HD
set video quality to fine
set storage to Internal memory
problem solved

Since the stock voice recorder that came with captivate produced very low quality sound, I tried other free recorders in the market. But all the apps that I tried spit out an error when I select the 44Khz sampling rate. The error that I get is "The application ___ has stopped unnexpectedly. Please try again."
Can someone please confirm if they can record above 22Khz (This is the maximum setting I can use, but occasionally it does stutter)? I find that I have to reinstall the application if I choose the 44Khz option prior to choosing the smaller rates.
And also, is there an app that filters out background noise captured by the mic before the sound is sent to other programs?
So no one experienced the above problem?
Since day 1, I also find that all of my voice recordings stutter once in a while. I know others have complained about the stuttering in the 720p video recording. I am wondering whether this might be due to the limitation of the write speed of the partition in the internal sd card or whether it is a hardware defect. Any feedback appreciated.
I have already applied Ryan's lag fix, but that didn't help with my stuttering problems.
any voice recording app that uses wav causes a force close for me regardless of the sampling rate i select. not really a problem for me since i never use voice notes for anything and if i ever need to the stock one does fine.
Thanks for clarifying the force close problem..
The stock one records to 13bit 8Khz AMR. This is a very lite rate, but I still notice stuttering once in maybe 3min as opposed to like once every 30s w/ 16Khz wav. I usually record for like 60min straight and I have noticed stuttering in all of my recordings. I sometimes record music so I would love to have a clean recording.
Do you notice the stuttering? I don't want to be the loner.
I would ideally like to record to my external SD card and see if it resolves the issue but I haven't found an app that does. Any suggestions appreciated.
Try Rehearsal Assistant
I agree. Stock Voice Recorder sucks on Captivate. They need to get this fixed. The voice is over processes and it sounds as chipmunks.
For me Rehearsal Assistant works the best. You can chose .wav or .3gp.
The Captivate seems to be hardware-limited to 22kHz sampling rates or below. This really sucks! Tape Machine on the Captivate won't let you select anything above 22050 Hz. On Evo, 44100 works flawlessly. I wonder why nobody is complaining about this?
I recently flashed to JM5 and applied RyanZA's lag fix. Now I am able to record at 44khz. Not sure what could have enabled it. But i still notice minute stuttering at that rate. I will keep you guys updated.
No more stuttering @ 16khz. I think this problem has always been the RFS file system lag. hopefully after supercurio's file system fix even 44khz will be butter smooth.
Hey guys at a major issue right now i was recording a video of my daughter earlier she was at sesame place and the phone was on a low power like under 10% but it recorded just fine as i was watching the video. I then looked at the video on video playback mode with even few different programs and it just plays back with lines and i thought ok maybe its a ROM issue with the video playback but i took videos of her before this before battery was under 10% and worked fine now im thinking is that the issue? I let the phone charge and still video does not play correctly sound plays perfectly but no video.
Really trying to find a solution to this because it was a great time and want to be able to share it with her. i can upload the video if needed
ROM - extreme sensation v1.2 im pretty sure
Thanks all for the reading
If you need me to upload the video i will if u can find the problem thank u all
Hello guys !
I'm having a quite big issue... No matter what app I use, Camera, Snapchat or Instagram that problem is always there.
So basically when I'm recording something, phone does record great but there is small lag between starting video and sound recording.
When I started recording video on any of the above mention app, the video start to record and then sound after like 1 or 2 seconds.
It's quite annoying on Instagram or Snapchat, even on normal camera when I'm recording...
I save everything to my internal memory due to my full SD Card filled up with music and it's quite slow with writing stuff.
It's only Class 4. So you know...
Do you know how to solve that I don't a lag between recording this to things ?
It would be very great as I'm nearly unable to chat in snapchat because of it -.-...
Bump up! It look's like it's a microphone lag as it happens during call too.
Any idea how to fix it ?

I noticed that 4k video has alot of Stuttering. I am recording directly to the phones memory, and it happens if recording handheld or even on a stabilizer. Is anyone else having similar issues or know a fix?
Here is a sample video recording:
If you go to camera settings and turn off stabilization it will be fine. Ois will still work this just turns off eis.
Eis uses a lot of cpu power and thus the stuttering. Known issue. Hopefully there will be a fix

Thanks, didn't think a feature would make it not work well. I think it would be better if they disabled it by default since it causes issues in 4k. But this will work for now.
Same issue
I have the same issue but it lags then speeds up, I looked for a shutter setting in my camera, but there isn't one. Has there been a fix for this yet?
This has happened on any Android phone that I have used since the Note 4. I have the phone set to record to the SD card (A fast SD card capable of 100mb/s). Image stabilization and auto focus are turned off. I begin recording and everything is starts out smooth for a few seconds. Then a slight pause. The footage then speeds up to compensate. At first I thought this was merely a playback issue. I exported the video to my PC and the same lag is apparent. I hate to say this, but I have never had this issue on iPhones.
Does anyone else have this issue with video recording only 8 mins then stopping this is not good and i can't find the setting if any appreciate any help?
Such a problem in the Xperia Z3 is the norm if the processor overheats. I have not read about other cases. Can you show graphs of all temperatures during video recording?
But its 8 mins each time all the time i thought may be its a setting i have done a camera reset on settings will try again.
Enter the current camera settings (bitrate, resolution, frames per second, codec) into some online video calculator and see what size the file will be.
If 8 min. video is 4GB, then change SD memory partition to exFAT or NTFS if phone supports.
