Hey everyone!
So I'm having this strange and annoying problem, every time I play video (let's say xvid .avi) the video stops after about 10min like it's finished playing the whole video file (goes back to menu or so). It happens with Mobo player, Mobo Video Player pro, Daroon player, MX Video player - those that I tried with. I thought maybe the CPU or GPU is overheating, but I really doubt on that, because the phone doesn't get hot, actually it gets more warm on a phone call, or when I surf the web. BTW, I don't think this problem is ROM dependent because I had this issue with the stock ROM and now I'm using the MIUI 1.11.25 ROM (Well didn't tested that on other ROM's that I tried, only those two).
So maybe somebody have the same problem and have a solution? Thanks!
Hi all, yesterday I installed the Romulus rom and i begin to testing some things, when testing the camcorder I changed the media.stagefright.record parameter to false to record a video and it worked, but when I reproduced the video I hear a buzz in the audio as if the mic was too sensitive, i tried another videos that I record with another roms and I get the same result the buzz in the audio, then i tried some videos that I download from internet (game trailers, movies, etc..) and i dont hear the buzz in the audio, at last my last test was to tried the recorder video in the pc and again i hear the buzz. The thing is when i played another video in the pc that i record with other rom i hear the buzz too, so my question is Has anybody has notice this with any rom ???? Did other roms use some noise reduction to played the videos that the Romulus doesn't have???
Thank's for the help.
cheers
I just made a couple test videos while on Romulus, and I don't have a buzz.. Everything should be mostly stock on Romulus, so sound/video quality should be no worse than out of the box..
Also, what do you mean by reproduce the video? - just play it? Did you have anything plugged into your phone while you were recording (i.e. usb, headphones) that may cause interference?
One thing you can try is check the "Audio Scenes" settings in the camcorder...

When i'm saying reproduce the video i mean play the video (sorry for the confusion) , I didn't have anything plugged to my phone, but maybe your right i didn't check the audio scenes in the camcorder perhaps the solution is there, thank's for the tip i miss that .
By the way nice job with the romulus, i really like it and the mod lockscreen it's great.
Thank's again.
Just got my nexus a couple days and it's been great up until now. I recently thought I was recording a video and was dissapointed to find that not only did it not record, but won't record anything. Nothing happens when I press the record button in video mode. Takes pictures just fine, plays video just fine. Everything else is working great. I hope there's some simple thing I'm doing wrong but I know my way around an android phone and I don't understand what could be the issue.
Thanks for any help!
I dont usually post questions and look up the answer myself. But I cant figure this one out. Is there a reason why playing a video I recorded in landscape mode auto rotates and plays sideways? I know I can turn off auto rotate but thats a hassel just to view one video. It should know to play the video the right way. The other big thing is that if I upload the video to my Google+ storage and play it on there, it plays sideways also. It's really frustrating. However, if I transfer the video to my computer and play it on there, it plays the right way. Anyone else experience this? Anyone have any fixes?
Just wondering if anyone else has this problem, if I replay a video on YouTube it will work but no sound will come out unless I close and open the video.
might need to reboot ur phone a few times3
