As I understand by reading elegos response in that thread ^^ I can make an image of my sd card and then another person could make it a goldcard and i could load it back to the sd card.. Is that correct?
If yes, Would any of you do that for me?
The reason i can't make one my self is my HTC Desire won't read any sd cards

w8... I wonder why you would need a goldcard, if your phone won't read it anyway? :/
look in the htc desire thread for usb brick
it means that your computer wont recognise your device when its connected and that your device wont read your sdcard
and as Puenos said, if it cant read sdcards then it wont read a goldcard

I though not having a goldcard was the reason why it would not read.
Then i'm totaly ****ed I think (will just check were you suggested)
It is stuck in a state between rooted and not rooted, and then i though i needed a goldcard to completely root it...
I sometimes get this error dev/block "E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0) (No such file or directory)
If you know any thing about that please help...

According to the "usb brick guide" I still need a goldcard... One of my friends have another android phone.. Can plug my sd card in his phone and then use the goldcard helper from android market to get the CID? Will that work on my phone?

when i launch link2sd it says "Mount script cannot be created. mount:mounting/dev/block/vold/179.10 on /data/sdext2 failed:invalid argument..
i had installed abround 300 apps on my sd-ext partition through "link2sd" app..yesterday when i installed some of doodle games , my link2sd was not able to mount sd-ext.. i tried through recovery mode to mount the sd-ext, bit it doesnt...i tried doing it through partition manager (easeus) on my pc..but it doesnt.
when i launch link2sd it says "Mount script cannot be created. mount:mounting/dev/block/vold/179.10 on /data/sdext2 failed:invalid argument"
i dont want to go through the hurdle od formatting my sd-ext & install all the apps all over again...though i have titanium backup..
please help me repair the sd-ext & be able to mount it ..

im using windows & have androidsdk installed on my pc..i can also execute the adb shell command but it doesnt accept the commands posted in the above link..
another thing i want to know is weather i should run cmd from windows-pc or terminal from my cm7...it doesnt work both ways when i connect my phone by adb..
please tell me detailed instructions for windows -pc if anyone knows
so please help...you may kindly send me a reply at [email protected]
also i would like to know your personal email so that i can contact u in future with ease..

I just got solved, by reformatting the ext 2 to FAT 32 and solved the problem
Hi All,
I had rooted my phone a long time back and to clear up some memory i factory reset it. Now i am stuck on the white screen with htc logo . Please tell me what to to . I have no backups as well , as i ended up formatting my memory card while trying to create a partition on it.
When i start the phone in recovery mode this is what i get (Pico CMW-Based Recovery v5.0.2)

Now i plan to install the JaggyRom 4.0.3 on my HTC Explorer. Do you think its a good idea ?
I only have a 2GB SD Card , is there any requirement that i have to convert at least 1GB to ext partition before installing the ROM.
Any other things which you would suggest i take care of before proceeding ?

Give link to rom which you wan't to install.
Especially Jaggy 4.0.3 was GB with sense 3.5 I THINK, so you don't need 1gb ext, even 512 will do. If it's ICS with sense 4 you need 1gb ext.
My advice: Don't worry if first time it stucks on white htc screen, if this happens, just try wiping everything again and flash again.
And another thing you can download this http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?lim1od8qrjdbblp you flash it before you flash the rom, it wipes everything by it self, I'm not sure how it works with sense 4, but for every athor rom it's fine.

Uff ya, forgot about links restriction, with this one you don't need more than 512mb of ext. Just don't forget to flash 'wi-fi fix' after install and follow the instructions.
With this one you also can use the 'superwipe.zip' that I've posted in the previous post, instead of wiping everything manually, whichever suits you best.
Also if you wan't you can check out cm9, it's ICS and its stable, for it you don't need 1gb ext partition. Well that's it, have fun

i'll try the JaggyRom and tell you how it goes.
If you want to keep your Rom pure stock then flash the one by immortal_yash with ext support. It's smoother then jaggyrom 4.0.3 for me or you can flash cm9.1 build 14 . It's your choice so try and use the one which is best for you...

1. Make ext3 partition
2. Do not overclock... you can /rather will cause permanent damage
3.you don't need to use internal memory as ram ~if you do, it may reduce life of SD card

What i observed was that the phone started restarting after i had run the following command (to enable ext4 to be used as part of internal memory):

m2sd rmount enable
so i again ran

m2sd rmount disable
after which it stopped restarting. Any pointers what could be the reason for this ? I have a 2GB card, not sure which class , but since it came with the phone i believe it should be class 2 or class 4
Type in terminal emulatur 'm2sd status'
It will show what is enabled, answers will come.
And did you used superwipe.zip, or manually wiped everything. And normally it's better ext partition to be ext2 or ext3.

Well have you removed the sd card while the phone was on?.....If thats the case then you may have to reflash the rom....
Also download roms from xda itself because it is posted by the original devs themselves and you get better support.
Consider using jaggy 4.1 by me....

Edit : Not sure if its releavant, but i can't connect to the memory card by using the "Disk Mode" from the mobile.

Hmm maybe you have just deleted the folder in ext sd card.
Or any resent new taak cleaner and junk cleaner would have removed the folders.
Man the folders are there and the files too !!

Probably first check weather its working by accessing and modifying the ext sd card data using any thited party app(not es file explorer)
And if it denys then use the xposed framrwork module named sd fix
