You can add tips or shortcuts on your home screen. The option is visible "auto-adds shortcuts" on the apk settings. Look the screens

I installed the program ... While I do not see differences from v.3.3.12

One change I noticed is, now during updates, the apps get updated one after the other after each finishes instead of all together previously.

In this video, you can see the new android market, kinda like the Windows Phone 7 one. It's faster and better than the previous one.
You can download the APK from here - http://www.mediafire.com/?vdocx41t37rnn6y#1

It is not faster, its bulky, blocky and all over the place. Scrolling is mega lame. I hate it because it totally sucketh! An easy uninstall takes you back to exactly the way you had it which is nice. No reboot needed even.

Afraid I have to agree, it's fugly and slow. I hope I can refuse the update for as long as possible.
Well that sucks! But as for the new layout I quite like it.

The new market is nice, but well, it's slightly slower. Hopefully we'll get an official update soon. Till then, i'll put up with the lag.
I'm currently on CM7 ROM (ported by superkid). I installed the new market update and I experience frequent FC's. I uninstalled the market update and now it works perfectly. Anyone here experiencing the same problem?

I think it looks much better than the last version but it has very slow scrolling and takes too much time loading.
Yep it looks nice but to slow for my liking.
Great, thank you
Same, really slow on my side too.
Uninstall and go back to earlier version. Pray that the update is discretionary and not forced. I doubt it will be any faster and it surely won't get any prettier

Couldn't find this posted anywhere so here it is for anyone that needs it.
SamsungApps won't correctly download this package on gingerbread roms so I had to downgrade to 2.2 to fetch it for everyone.
Installing this apk then running it will update your built in camera(s) firmware to version OZ. Install directly from sd card, no need to push into /system (discouraged actually, as this app will ask you to uninstall it after it runs)
I'm not entirely too sure what has changed, but why not keep it updated if the update is offered.
This is the same update offered through SamsungApps. Nothing new, just an installable apk people can use to update their firmwares if they are outdated.
Enjoy.

It doesn't change the camera itself just the firmware. The OS version won't matter. I guess I had already upgraded mine at some point because it said mine was up to date.

All I noticed was slightly better handling the camera. Pictures seemed to be a little easier to blow up and edit. Not a critcal update if you ask me, but haven't delved any further into it.

After installing this I was screwing around with my camera settings and ran the update firmware. It said I wasn't running the most current version so it updated something with my camera firmware then installed Samsung apps in my programs.
Not a bad thing I guess, its kind of like a mini market with 20-30 programs.

The lag in this version of android market is absolutely normal and is a problem of the app itself, you have no problems. Even the first row's little blink after the swipe is a common issue and is not involved with the sensation itself. We are just hoping in a new and better coding for the new market from google wich can solve all this lags and glitches

We all have this issue, at least i think so. Will be nice to know if anyone hasn't those glitches.. until that, i'm in the opinion that is a all-user-wide problem
Does it for me, not an issue, don't really care
Absolutely not an issue. The main problem of this version of the market for me is the incredible lack of smoothness in the user interface and the incredible slow loading of first page. I think it should be at least halfed.
Note: maybe i overstimated the problem, is not a big issue to wait a second or two after the launch, but the overall user experience is ruined (IMO) by this waitings everytime you load the market. I hope in a fix soon.
I know that this really sound bad commimg from a experienced user such as myself. But I have really tried to find how to update the market on my Sensation. But for some reason I can not figure it out. I have looked for a box to check to allow for automatic updates for the Market app. I have searched the internet for a working APK for the updated market. But none of my efforts have allowed me to update my market. I really like the layout and the added features of the updated market. I used it on my HD2, and had expected it to already be on my Sensation stock ROM. So my question is this, how do I get the updated Android Market on my Sensation?

Download the .apk from that topic, install it and in manage applications clear market data. Reboot and enjoy. If you have some problem or want to revert to your version just uninstall the market updates from the manage application menu
I tried going through all the ics related topics here but couldnt really find an extensive hands-on review of the update. So if you could post what changes the new update brings, its pro's/ cons, how smooth or laggy it feels etc.
Would appreciate it.

Hmm... I think there is no single review for it, but here and there, people have posted a lot about it.
No signs of it in India yet.... The wait is killing...
All i could gather from the topics is that the update has a lot of bugs. Heck im not even sure if this update was only meant for elevate members. The only thing i care about is sense 3.6 should not be resource heavy and ics should use the hardware of the sensation to its full extent. I love sense but 3.0 is a powerhog and im forced to use go launcher.

IMHO the update is very good. It improves a lot the overall performances and it is a pleasure to use the Sensation (I repeat overall...) as it has never been.
I've only found one really annoying bug: the default browser doesn't load directly a link from another app (eg. twitter), but it needs a second tap because the first one opens up the last visited page. So you need to exit fromthe broser and re-tap the desired link.
This becomes very annoying when you need to use google search...first try: latest visited page; exit browser + second try: search results.
This one and the few spelling mistakes here and there in some menus could have been the reason of the pre-release to the elevate members, to have them reported, then fix them and finally release a bug free update, but now that we know this is the final release I think these are ridiculous bugs.
I can only think they released the update even with these few errors because of the competition with samsung to be the first to give ICS to the customers...again: riduculous!
I hope they are aware of this and release a fix soon enough...
Thanks roland
So the default browser is trouble free but not so when visiting links from another app. Shouldnt bother me much. Though it is dissapointing to see htc make such mistakes, seems they didn't focus too much on testing. Im pretty sure itll be atleast a month before we see the update in india, hopefully all the bugs would be sorted by then.

Busybox
Hi
Just updated via OTA, reinstalled CWM_Recovery and installed superSU 0.99.
Phone is rooted once again but it seems like busybox is unable to install, tried a few different versions and none seem to stick, a few even causes a crash/reboot of the phone.
Have a few programs that are reliant on Busybox to function.
Am i the only one with this problem ?
I think the update is rubbish. If anything its not as smooth as the Ics update, project butter must be a vanilla only experience because there is no way it's buttery smooth

I'm really annoyed about the new keyboard layout which was an utterly unnecessary change. Not to mention that the keyboard is somewhat laggy. Apart from that it's fine and I could live with it if I would get back full root functionality.
By the way, has anyone solved their root issues (SuperSU, Busybox, and a couple other apps and tools not working) yet?

Nope I'm also having the same issues. After reading over the superSU thread it seems like HTC have done something to prevent system changes so it's basically a case of waiting until some devs find a work around
Is there an app to reorder the notifications in the notificationbar? I have 2 apps as trigger and new notifications are in the middle of these apps. I want new notifications at bottom.
Haven't got the update yet, but I'd like to know if they solved the touchbutton issue? And does USB OTG work now without extra cables? The only 2 things I'm missing.
Touch button issue is better so far but cannot say for sure that it is fixed, since now we have the Google now issue but not as frequently as before.
The new issue for me after the update is that the hands-free control is not customisable through apps after update, only single click function works for me, no track skipping or volume control

I need to downgrade ASAP, however, because I'm a relative noob and I'm unrooted I need some assistance. Any advice will be appreciated.
Just installed and had 10 minutes with it. To me my phone definitely seems a little quicker and more responsive, might just be me being excited about new stuff though! I use Swiftkey so never touch the Sense keyboard, I just gave the new one a quick go and switched back to Swiftkey, I can type on it almost as quick as a real keyboard so it would take something amazing to shift me from it. I like what I see of Google Now so far, we'll see how it pans out though. The camera changes seem good, fairly subtle differences but I think it's quicker too. I like the power saver mode, think that will be a useful one. Switching off data when the screen is off is a great feature.
So far, so good.
