As I said in the Post that worked before but now it's not working anymore, mybe i just delete everything and download all patches new and restart from scratch.
If it's working for you with then gapps than it soult work for me too, right ?

yes, in the worst case, just wipe and reflash the ROM, then flash the GApps right away before you reboot Open Recovery

Did everthing from scratch and
Tata!
everything is fine now.
Thanks for helping

I cannot install Google Apps for some reason. I tried clean installs, fresh wiped caches and data, and flashed from CWM/Recovery. Did not work.
What do I do now? I have Mac OS X and I have adb and fastboot.

Not that I'm aware of.

@acmys, I think you might be expecting the Gapps installation to also include all the Google apps. Gapps only gets you the Market app and the automated Google Apps installer that pops up during the initial boot (that is why the Gapps file is only 5 MB - it doesn't have much in it other than the Market and the initial welcome stuff). You still have to manually download gmail, maps, voice, etc. either during that initial boot or you can do it later when you're on wi-fi. So if you've already got the Market app, then you are good to go. If I misunderstood you and you're not even getting the Market app, then disregard everything I just said.
Yup no market
Is there anyplace I can download an APK of market? for inspire?

You're welcome to try this one. It's not the apk but a flashable zip for CWM.

[Q] flashing cm7

This is pretty much the only rom I haven't tried yet. I read about 10 pages on the dev page but Im just not 100% sure how to flash this rom. I'm currently running miui with blue recovery, so I'm good there. I've already downloaded the latest build according to the dev page, but I have no idea what gapps or whatever is. I read that I can download them in rom manager, I checked it out but there's like 10 versions. Do I flash the Google app then cm7?

With blue CWM recovery you should be able to flash CM7 with a normal flash in CWM. If you boot loop, pull battery and reflash. The gapps is all the google apps you need, Cyanogen can't include google apps in the Rom. If you download gapps through rom manager, pick the latest one. I actually downloaded gapps from the Cm7 wiki. (the link for it is in the OP for Cm7 Rom) Flash the rom first THEN gapps and you should be good.

I'm sure ill need to wipe data and such since I'm currently running miui, but I think I read that I need to format system or something within cwm, any truth to that...I don't like formatting anything unless I know for sure.

Ya thats what I meant by normal flash lol. I know when flashing from red you need to format but, I can't remember if I did so when flashing from CM7 to MIUI or if its needed. You can try it without, and if it doesn't work then format, just make a backup before you do. I just remember the format system part is before you flash the zip a second time after a battery pull.

I did a normal flash and it worked fine but the latest version of Google apps doesnt match the latest cm7 build. I tried it anyways but I did work, no Google apps appreared, so I went back to miui.us. I guess ill have to wait for an update.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda premium
MIUI comes with the market which is really all you need ( you can download the rest from the market) CM7 is what needs gapps, best way to get these is from the rom thread, he's got a link in the OP somewhere.

Did you flash gapps through rom manager or cwm? I had to mess with that for a while and could only get it to work when flashing through cwm (blue). Worth the effort though. This is my favorite rom and I'm pretty sure I've tried them all. A lot of them anyways.

The gapps work bruh......your either not flashing the right gapps. or just missing steps.
really as long as the market loads you can find the rest of the apps on the market.
why use rom manager the link in the OP has the latest gapps
I had issues going from miui to cm7 so I just returned to stock with Odin rerooted etc and everything worked really well
No issues yet. Dont miss all those Chinese ccharacters on miui

Ya I've never had much luck with gapps on Rom Manager, that's why I referenced the link for the gapps in the CM7 thread, usually when someone on here tells you "the best way to do something is this"...we are trying to save you a headache lol. Just download gapps for "Cyanogenmod7" from the table, there is only one DL link and then a mirror.

Google play not working after CM10!

Hi I upgraded from CM 9.1.1 stable to 10.0.0 this morning.
I downloaded CM 10 from get.cm and installed it through ROM manager by SD caard option.
But after that I could not find gtalk available so I tried opening Google Play which is getting exited.
I tried re-installing Google play app, degraded it too, even flashed the CM10 ROM again.
Is it an issue of not installing Gapps latest version?

[Q] No format dbdata.

Hey guys, im fighting with my phone since yesterday to install CM10, when i finally installed it i figured out my CWM doesn't have "format dbdata" in mounts and storage, so i can't install gapps... I'm losing my mind so i decided ask to people who knows.
PS: Scuse my english, I'm from Argentina so it isn't very good...
PS2: My phone is GT-I9003L, Dont know if it matters (I couldn't find a specific forum for that one)
Dont worry man forgot dbdata and go to next step of installation. I havent dbdata too and flashed hundreds of roms.
Good luck!!.

But if I skip that, next step is install gapps, i do and reboot... CM starts OK but i doesn't have gapps (at startup u dont see the configuration of google acc, no play store etc...)
I kind of solved it 2 min ago by flashing alpha 3 instead of alpha 4 and i was able to format dbdata and install gapps, but its older than alpha 4, i should look the changelogs to see what im missing...
You are sure you installed the correct gapps?. Maybe this is your mistake.
Try this slim gapps it worked for me if you want more gapps you can install via play store.
