Car mount and desk mount - Fascinate Accessories

I have the car mount and desk mount for anyone that wants them. The cable for the desk mount is long gone (sent back for service, never received) and I lost the disc for better suction cup mounting. Otherwise, great condition. You pay ship. PM me. Thanks

How much are you looking to get for them? Or are you just giving them away?

Sorry, I didn't see this until now. I'm only asking for shipping from PA. I had the fascinate for less than two months and these barely got used. I just hate to see them go to waste.

I'll take them off your hands, because I'm considering modding them both to include an actual 3.5mm jack to plug into the phones 3.5mm port. I've found that the audio being routed micro usb sounds like crap when compared to the 3.5 jack. How much for shipping?

Sorry guys. Sold.

I got this about a year ago and it works great.. My windshield is very long and from some measurements I had to have at least 12" inches, and this one works out great. Just plan your bends ahead of time, like most of these kind of things it's just a stiff piece of metal in there... You can re-bend it, but it's not easy to do..
Only thing that bugs me is that since it's long, it does bounce. So what I did was make sure the base of it was resting on the top of my dashboard.
If I wanted to spend the money on it, I'd actually get a set which costs about $40 for the car mount, $40 for the phone mount, but it's custom per car and slides into the dash itself and can also be removed... If you're interested in that I'll find it, a quick google didn't locate it.. but I think I saw it linked from XDA somewhere. Looked really nice, but $80 is a bit steep for me and I'd love to get rid of my damn car

that's sweet that you found one you want.
for others that do not own the cars they are driving this is right from proclip's site.
The ProClip Center Mount attaches on the upper mid section of the dashboard. The mount clips into the dashboard seams between the panel sections, providing a very sturdy and tight fit. Average installation time is 2 minutes. No dismantling of the dashboard is required and there is no damage to the vehicle interior!

Car Dock

I want the official car dock... simple right?
Problem is that I live in Canada, HTC won't ship it here or to a mailbox on their side of the border. They require a US credit card or whatever. Is there any way to get these from elsewhere?
Try the usual suspects...
My recommendation is that you try to get it used from either Amazon or Ebay, I don't think that you have any other options.
I don't have the original dock, as my car has integrated bluetooth, but I bought this car mount: Kensington Windshield /Vent Car Mount with Quick-Release Cradle for iPhone/iPod touch. Yes, I know what it says, but it works perfectly with the N1, especially if you have a case and don't want to take your phone out of it every time you get in your car.
As far as a car charger, you need to get this: Motorola Vehicle Power Adapter MicroUSB Rapid Rate Charger, there is no other charger that works better than this, and it is actually very cheap (US$ 5.49). It will actually charge your phone while using navigation, with GPS and bluetooth active, and full screen brightness, that's how good this charger is.
I actually modded the mount so it will hold the cable, I will try to post a picture later on.
I hope that this helps.
I really want the official dock as it has speakers and hookups for 3.5mm so I can listen to music from my phone.
ebay, I tried that. I don't want to pay $200 for a car dock. They are so over priced on there. Amazon.com doesn't ship most of their stuff to canada, however I did find it on there (thanks). I will try purchasing one of these and see what happens.
In the US does HTC have a store you can walk into to buy this dock? I find it doubtful but I'm going on vacation in the US next week, thinking maybe I could pick one up...
No store...
No, HTC doesn't have stores in the US at all. I know that a few months ago, some T-Mobile stores were carrying some of the N1 accessories, but I think that that is a very long shot. If you are coming here, I would recommend that you order it from HTC and have it express mailed to wherever you will be staying, that should solve your problem. Good luck.
Except for how they don't take Canadian credit cards...
You can have mine for $60 (the price I paid after tax) + shipping. Do you want the desktop dock too?

I used these guys to get my Nexus one to Australia. They are a mail forwarding company. they don't even charge you a commission over and above normal shipping afaik, they get a special deal with DHL and make money on the difference.
As for the credit card, mine worked when i put my normal address for the street, but put a US state as the state.
Im gonna get this carholder: http://goo.gl/IJdUG

OEM Car Mount for i9000

Hey guys,
Just wanted to post and say i found a guy on eBay selling OEM (i hope!) car mounts for i9000.
link: http://goo.gl/LHr5z
I just ordered mine a few days ago and im looking forward to getting my hands on it.
I know its too late to ask for details but what is the situation with car vibration for this mount? (i like to record while i'm driving)
I previously had a HTC D1 with OEM mount and it was perfect, then i switched to HTC D2 and i took a cheap $2,99 mount and it was terrible: i broke after 3 days but i managed to glue it back and even make it a bit more stable but the charger was not powerful enought for when i used GPS... so this time i will stick with the original products!
I will post after i get the item and let you know.
Cheers.
at $50 it better be real
holy cow, that's a bit much for a phone stand in the car
I agree, it's not cheep but as I mentioned before the cheep one I took for my previous phone was useless.
Ebay was the only place I could find an OEM car mount and this guy was the only one how had them. Surprisingly I could not find them at any shop here in romania.

I bought one from the same guy, no problems and it seems genuine. It is expensive but includes a good charger, has the USB plug that automatically triggers car dock mode and can output external audio, and the stability and the strength of the windscreen clamp is excellent.
Thanks for the info Beano. Thats good news for the strength of the windscreen suction thing.
It wouldnt accept phone with any skin on it even with slim case-mate
Hitec

Great car mount very cheap only 5.21!

If your like me you get annoyed when you buy a car mount and it break or doesnt stay on your windshield or mounted right. Well i finally found a very cheap mount that works like a champ from a company call tmart. I added a video review and heres the URL http://www.tmart.com/MP-Series-360-Degree-Car-Mount-Holder-for-Cell-Phone-4G-3G_p127462.html

I've been needing to get a new car phone mount since my old $30 one broke like cheap plastic.. good review, will check it out thanks.

You can get these from Amazon as well - more expensive but looks like more or less the same thing. I purchased a couple. They are compact and fold away when you're not using them, which I like for visibility and also because I can fold it up and take it with me if I travel and use a rental car. My wife dash mounted hers and it is holding up well. I found that my windshield mounted one gets dragged askew if I have a power cable plugged into it - this could be a loose ball joint so your mileage may vary. Regardless, pretty good mount for the price.
Here's the Amazon URL.

what? the Samsung wireless dock for home is $50 alone, so how can a wireless car charger that is more functional be cheaper?
it's ok to spend $800 on the phone but $80 is too much for an accessory?
there are a bunch of wireless charging car docks out there, here are 2 that are under $50. they arent samsung branded, but should function close to the same.

That's not necessarily true. Especially not for car chargers.
You end up moreso paying for the mount itself than its wireless capabilities, and as many people who've bothered trying to use a cheap mount to hold their device will tell you, you don't want a cheaply built mount holding your device while you're driving down a crappy road or going over speed bumps.
Not to mention the differences in effort required to remove the device once it has been placed. Some mounts allow one-handed operations, some require two, and some are best left alone entirely unless you can stop to interact with them.

The price of the phone is irrelevant. The dock is overpriced and doesn't provide even a decent value, the home wireless charger is overpriced too. They could have sold them both for 39.99, made a profit and sold significantly more than they will at the 80-100 price point. Either way, it's nice that there are other options for sub $50!

I've had my fair share with cheap car mounts, probably gone through 4-5 of those cheap $20 mounts in the past 2 years. so i agree on that part which was kind of my point except i'm not very good with analogies.. i would not pay $50 for the samsung home wireless pad , but i will pay $80 for the samsung car dock, because while it doesn't apply to all things, sometimes you do get what you pay for. the samsung dock just looks a lot better than other options, even if it cost $20-30 more. the last mount i had wouldn't even stick properly to the windshield when the outside temps dropped below 30F..
I bought an airdock last month. Its on backorder. My hopes were it arrives around the s6 launch. And its the same price as the Samsung one

I seriously considered the hell out of that thing because I REALLY like the design. Also no wireless mount will be able to match it in terms of speed and ease of device placement and removal as well as positioning.
I just really couldn't bring myself to trust my $1000 device on a charger without some sort of "hands" to catch it on the off chance that the grip and magnet fail and allow the device to fall.
The Tylt car charger is the one to beat for that reason alone in my book. It's also a bit cheaper than the AirDock which is nice since it looks like I'm gonna end up buying 3 cases before I decide on one to keep haha.
After a lot of searching I decided to just get this dock. I will have mine wednesday from amazon for 85 bucks. In the past I used Ibolt for my S4 and absolutely loved it. Being that they don't have a specific dock for the S6 I just went with the samsung. Once I get my phone I will take pics and post a little review.

Ive had this dock for a while now i bought it for my galaxy note edge and i have to say its a good car holder holds tight and im yet to have it fall off the window... knock on wood haha. The charge on it like any other qi charger is slow but it holds well if you are using the maps app or streaming music.
However i just dont like things on my window so i ended up buying a vent mount from a company here in sydney that makes specific mounts to your car. The website is: www.holdmyphone.com.au
And i also bought a garmin gps ball mount for it. Its a little tight but once you get it on there and tighten the nut it doesnt move. Out of site out of mind.
If anyone wanta me to post picks let me know [emoji4]

I have used the iMagnet mount with my S4 for the past two years and have never had it just fall off. The magnet is incredibly powerful. The problem with the S6, however, is that I can't put the metal disc in my case without disrupting wireless charging.
