Boot screen loop. ClockWork Mod installed. Help! - General Topics

Ok. Here's what happened, I installed ROM Manager which includes ClockWork Mod. When it prompted for a device I had to choose the LG Optimus One P500. I think by choosing this device instead of the P506(Thrive) it caused my phone to loop on the boot screen. Read a post on XDA by someone who had the same problem.
When I press Vol.up +Power+Home keys I get into ClockWork Mod but it looks very fuzzy and when I select options nothing happens. Can someone please help me get back to stock. Thanks very much in advance.

[Q] Problem Installing Clockwordmod

I just got my g tab today and tried to install clockwork mod following the guide. device detected the recovery key and went into the install screen but immediately rebooted and now when i try to install it doesnt even detect the recovery key. the viewsonic splash screen comes up when i hold power and vol + buttons and then shuts off immediately, but if i try a normal powerup i get the stock UI. I know this is a stupid question but i am new to this so some help would be appreciated.
thanks

[Q] Need help rooting, Can't select in clockwork

Hello, I am currently rooting my nexus s using Jonathon Grigg's guide on complete android.
I am using the method that does not wipe everything. I am not inside clockwork mod and i cannot select "install zip from sd card". I can go up and down in the menu with the volume keys but when u press power it just removes the menu and only the clockwork logo stays. I press the power button again and im back in the menu with the logo in the background (like it should be according to the screenshots in the guide). So I cant selet anything in the clockwork mod menu.
Any help would be appreciated as i am completely stuck and cant even turn the phone (dont want to resort to taking out the battery).
There should be no issue pulling the battery.
What command/method did you use to get into Clockwork? You say you're not in it, but then you say you have menus and a clockwork logo. What color text is on your screen when you boot into recovery?
Its is more solved. I seemed to have a corrupted clock work image as when I downloaded it from the second mirror it worked perfectly. Thanks for anyone that responded

[Q] i think i am bricked

i have the inspire and i rooted it with no problems. now this is all new to me so i need some major help. i downloaded a rom from the rom manager app on my phone. pretty sure it was a coredesign rom. i backed up my existing rom and followed all the prompts i was given before installing the rom installed and the phone rebooted/ but now i am stuck on the htc screen and cannot get past it. i tried a hardschock of the phone but i am still stuck ont the white htc screen. any help to get my phone up and running would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
have you tried booting into recovery by holding, the volume down and power buttons, and then falsh your recovery?
Pull the battery. Put it back in, hold the volume down button then while its down press the power button. That will put you in the bootloader. Go down to recovery and press the power button. In recovery wipe the phone and wipe cache, then installe your rom.

G2x Stuck in recovery. Clockwork recovery menu options not selectable.

Hello, I would like to start by writing that I have been searching the web and forums for 2 days attempting to figure out how to restore my phone.
I have rooted my g2x with super one click. Then i installed rom manager and flashed clockwork mod
I did a back up.
I then attempted to flash cyanogen nightly. Installation went well, then rebooted and here we are. Stuck,
When rebooting and entering the recovery menu there are 4 options and i am able to scroll using the VOLUME keys. Here is where the problem starts, I cannot select any of the options using the power button or any other button that i have tried.
The android is sitting next to the white box and this is what it says
FORMATTING DATA
FORMATTING CACHE
FORMATTING MISC
This is all that happens. Once again the menu options do not work, but i can scroll and highlight each one.
So i pull the battery and try it again and the menu options in recovery are simply not able to be selected. So i get stuck on the LG boot logo or stuck in an unresponsive recovery menu.
I cannot find out how to use any advanced tools for my device. I do not want to do further damage to my phone.
Any help from this forum would be appreciated. Thank you.
they wont help you, they are too "advanced" I wish I could help but like you, I followed verbatom instruction and wrecked many a phone...
Have you tried to reflash CWM with Rom Manager?

I am having this same problem
It depends on what CWM you flashed. So which one? It may be expecting you to use the soft keys or it may be expecting the power key for selection. If all else fails download the one click installer and start completely over. I have flashed mine (GS II and GS II SR) several times and rooted it with no issues whatsoever.
I am stuck at this stage as well. I have attempted the steps in sites listed, however when I hold the volume up+volume down and then plug in the usb, my computer is not reading the g2x.
Help?

Captivate stuck on boot

I have a Captivate which I had been running SlimICS 4.04 and wanted to try SlimJB so I downloaded the device and common files and flashed through CWMR. It rebooted after flashing the device file (pretty sure it wasn't supposed to do that) and got stuck at the splash screen 9not what I would call a boot loop, it just sits there ... forever). I can get into CWMR and use the volume up/down to cycle through the options, but the power button will not select anything. This is with CWMR Touch 6.0.1.1. Ideally I would just like to be able to reflash the ROM if there's a magic key combination to get CWMR to process a command.
I can get into download mode if using Odin will be necessary.
Thanks
Oh, and I would have posted in the SlimJB section but as you can all see this is my first post.

Oh for goodness sake, that was way too easy ...
Thanks very much, re-install complete and happily rebooting.
Yeah, I ran into both problems (post count) and the key press issue. The dev went on vacation without starting a Q&A thread, and thanks to XDA's lovely policy, we newbs are stuck here.
