My transformer is shutting down when sleep for too long at no reason
Im using Android Revolution HD 2.2.1 with clemsyn kernel 21
Any ideas?
ive never had that problem...... try a new kernal maybe or wipe dalvik. if all else fails go to revolver, best rom (i think ) out there

You mean like Sleep of Death (SOD)? Happens to a few people. Think it has to do with voltage on the kernel. Try another kernel that isnt as under volted maybe.

you might be right. earlier when i was using roach's kernal with revolver i had this problem. and not only that the tab would heat up as well. after trying a few kernels i finaly settled on blades 3 kernel. no problems so far.

Same issue here. It makes me want to snap mine in half since then it takes forever to boot. Other than that issue, it works fine.

Hi all,
Well, i want to install a costom ROM+Kenel in my Transformer.
I currently have Honeycomb 3.2.1 and Kernel 2.6.36.1.
Anyone knows what might be the best ROM+Kernel? I've seen Prime V.2.05 and Netformer.
Just to be sure i don't something stupid: first i need to install CWM, then install ROM and kernel, right?
Thank you!
i have revolver and blades 2 and its FAST

Actually first you need to find out if your TF is even rootable.
If rootable than yes root, install CWM than flash ROM + kernel

me too. i have tried every rom, but went back to revolver.
I didn't know this tablets could run custom roms
Perfect Question! I have owned my TF for less than a week. Figured out how to root and install CWM thanks to some nice detailed posts. I am currently running PRIME 2.0.5 with Clemsyns 22 OC kernel at 1424 max.
Why I chose PRIME? I saw a Youtube video on it. So I have read and read multiple threads on ROMs here. Looks like the choice of three. So far this is very stable and seems fast. I have had no fc's or issues like that.
I am interested as well as which ROM people prefer and why? I know a lot comes down to personal preference. I'm looking for stability, speed, compatibility, updates.

Thank you all for your replies!
Yesterday I finally decided to go with Prime 1.6 and netformer OC 1.6ghz.
Well, one thing is sure, it's clearly faster now...
Now I get 6000+ on antutu benchmark!
Wow, you're lucky you have one that can go that high. Some tf cannot be OC to 1.6. Mine, for example, can only be OC to 1.4 before it freezes and crash.
hey I'm rooted on revolver 3.9.3,but when I go to download a kernel or a theme on the app it only downloads 576kb of it. any suggestions?

btw cuz i just rooted the other day wat is the best kernal tht i should use
gnufabo suggests stock but i think blades 2 is the best
With the latest firmware update, all custom kernels have become unstable, including blades. People have reported their TF locking up with custom kernels. The only custom kernel that isn't unstable is clemsyn v21. Unfortunately, there's a battery drain of the dock with this kernel.
For now, until the kernel devs figure out what the hell is going on, the best thing for yout to do is use the stock kernel.
I havent had issue one with Roach's overclock kernel set at 1.4

This is certainly good news. What's happening is that different people are reporting different results.

I'm using Clem's v22a, just as always, and I am not having any issues whatsoever.

I think blades 2 is OK haven't had problems but I'm just gonna go back to stock ;-)
Using Prime v2.0.6 kernel since Monday and it is stellar. No problems whatsoever. 3300 on Quadrant too!
I've actually been just fine with the Blades 2 kernel... No issues whatsoever - not even any excessive battery drain. OC'd to 1540.
Allright I just got my Transformer 3dayz back. Now i rooted installed CWM on it and also Install Revolver ROM first.
so Day1 : I had Revolver ROM + Stock Kernel
by the End of Day1 I Flashed Blades 2 Kernel. It was totally perfect. Everything was super awesome.
But then I flashed Blades 3 Kernel just to try it. Didnt find it as much fast as Blades 2 and hence switched back to blades 2 within 1/2hr.
Now the wat happened is when using the Tab wud shut it self off automatically while USage. Completely powered off. Then hav to start it back up manually.
So last night I flashed Stock Kernel and then ReFlashed Revolver ROM.
Testing Now!!
In the meantime can any1 who is using Revolver ROM with custom Kernel giv some opinions like what to do in the SetCPU settings or sumthin like tat
I am a complete noob to SetCPU so didnt alter the settings the Kernel offered. Do you guyz think this can cause probs ???

Okay maybe not a SOD but a very unstable system then
If you undervolt to much you get an unstable system overclock to much you will have the same effect
I found netformer good but not enough options for my self modules schedulars etc etc
Clemsyn and prime both seem to screw out on revolver so i know where your'e coming from on that one although clemsyn has worked for me before on revolver its just the prime kernel that boot loops for me

Even blades 3 causes a bug with this game Inertia HD ...
will try out ARHD 2.3 rom when i comes out.....
Currently no looking back Revolver 3.9.5 + Blades 2 + Systune/SetCPU
which wud u prefer in SetCPU and OC Daemon ?????
I am trying to find out why my phone is doing this? Could it be a rom or kernel issue? I am running asop+ 2.2 rom and glados 2.7. Or could it be a radio issue?

Glados has a problem with rebooting while calling
It's a known issue in GLaDOS thread. However, some users get a lot of reboots, some never get one.
If you want a quick fix then try flashing another kernel.
Thanks any suggestions on kernals? I have had nothing but issues with matr1x and now it seems glados is giving me issues.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Known issues with GLaDOS. If you want to stay with GLaDOS, you can try:
-Up the voltage a bit if you are using liveoc (or disable liveoc)
-Don't overclock at all
-Disable deep idle
Or you could try matr1x again and maybe up the voltage 25mV across the board (except for 100 and 200mhz) as it is underclocked by default which your phone may not like. Otherwise i'd be trying netarchy, eugene's icup or francos kernel.

I'd suggest you start with Eugene's kernel (ICUP) because I have used it for a week without a single reboot
Disable deep idle, fixes most problems.
99 problems but a deep idle ain't one.
I switched to icup and it seems to be doing good. Thanks guys. I never had deep idle enabled so that was not my issue

I'd try to upgrade to ICS or reinstall the ROM. Also check your battery. It it heats abnormally, that might be the issue as well...
Aosp+ 2.2 is ics... but regardless changing kernels fixed the issue.

Pretty ironic, considering if you read my thread most people are happy with 14.

Yeah idk why you would be having problems with matrix, I doubt it's the kernel.

Did you try to have prolonged phone calls as well? That's when it crashed... Every 3 minutes or so. The rest is perfectly fine...
I'm on the last updated CleanROM 4.1.1 (3.4.6) using unters kernel and EVERYTHING just works flawlessly and smooth. I like to always flash the newest thing out and been debating about 4.2.1? Anyone else debating like me? I see there's really no alternative kernel support on the new CleanROM 4.0 but how does it overall compare to the latest update on CleanROM 4.1.1 (3.4.6)? Battery life? Speed? Functionality?

I'm still on the older bootloader too and running CROMI v3.3. I like to keep up to date on the newest software too but I've decided to hold off until they at least get an oc kernel and release a newer version of TWRP.
I'm very happy with v3.3. It runs flawlessly for me. I guess I'll just stick with it for the time being.

Yeah, I talked to Elesbb and he said his was running great without the OC Kernel too. Imagine what it's going to be like once a performance kernel is released. Wheweeee!
