Call recording - Need tips on how to port to another rom.???

I have installed roms that have call recording option built in. I liked that feature alot. Currently I have rom installed that has been the best on speed and battery life, but does not have call recording. I have modified roms on icons and simple apps but I dont know about the call recording apk's and other software needed in the donor roms I have. I have explored the phone.apk and phone util.apks. the icons are there for call recording but I'm not sure about what else is needed. Do I need any .jar files or any html's? Also the call recording fuction is from 2.2 js8 rom and my current rom is 2.2 jl1 Andromeda V3. Will there be a conflict between them because of the different codes?
Any help or direction pointed would be an awesome help. Thanks

Thanks killer_raj for that pointer. I had looked at that app before starting this thread, but it records every call in and out. I wanted to port over the set-up thats in Continuum 4 where I can record on the fly at my choice. I just dont know which files I need to make this port happen. But reading over that post again has helped in that in partially. I still need a dev or someone who has done or worked on this call recording to help me out.

u can flash this after u flashed the first file...then u get the option of disabling auto call reording..and u can give ur preferred name for the call recording...

well i dont know..coz i m using custom rom..apex..2.2.1...its workin in this one..so u can try....there is no harm in tryin..coz the files in here...while flashing it will make the backup on the prevous app in ur sdcard..which u can restore if there is any malfunction..
and theres is one alternative for the sec file(xtra_pachage) as well....after flashin the first file..u can install this app(call recording control) also which i m attachin here...to control the call rec feature...
and here the sec attached file(update_restrore) is for restorin to the previous dailer which didnt hav call recording..i mean ur default dailer...if there is any malfunction...

yes it doesnt work on GB..but soon someone will come up with new dated script...

[ROM][BETA] AOSP 2.3.4 Gingerbread HTC Evo w/ New gTalk

This is the latest update from google that was pushed last night. There are issues and this isn't stable yet. This is being posted here to get some attention.I want to thank the CM Team and dsixda for the android kitchen. I used cyanogenmod's device tree, qcom, legacy hardware. This is a WIP as there are issues. This update changed a few things so some things still need to be figured out.
NOTE: I am not responsible for what anyone does. I am just doing my best to bring the latest android to our phones.
Issues:
* 4g
* Camcorder
* Launcher2 (Sometimes get all buggy and needs to be FC'd)
Everything else as I can tell is working fine. If you have any ideas and want to lend a hand please do so. Here is the info for this.

How to sync and build it:

Now once that is done since I don't know if the otapackage is working or not (usually needs edits) I just take the system.img and boot.img from:

Move them into the android-kitchen and add busybox and root it for now. Everything will be fix including the otapackge eventually.

Possible, but that just assumes that the ONLY thing that changed source code wise was Gtalk and nothing else.

He's saying that they only would have had to re-write the app, nothing doing with the frame ect, for it being on android 2.3.4.

Other Files
there is an SO file: libTalk_jni.SO that is probabaly required. The original "libjingle" source google used for chat is in C++, so it isn't surprising that the lib was made from JNI.
I just got done flashing the 2.3.4 GAPP and google talk works great!
Voice and video chats working smoothly.

How did you get voice and video?
It force closes on me.
Im on CM7 chat works great but voice and video FC and go back to the buddy list.
edit: Ooooh flash he gapps lithid.

I'm on CM7 too. I wiped cache and dalvik, flashed the GAPPS 2.3.4 provided above, and bam.
Now, I did this after manually adding the libTalk_jni.so to my /System/lib... but i would think gapps would do that automatically.
Check to be sure... then give me your google ID and see if it works. As of yet, I can only get outgoing calls to a gmail client working. Incoming... not so much.

Ahh... I dont know. I got a few video and voice calls in, then suddenly it started FC'ing on me (after making NO changes)

I have not really messed with the Talk.apk yet. I am really trying to get calls to work right. Currently it goes through rings and FC on the phone and hotboots.

Voice Working!
Just got the voice to work by default now. There is an issue with the device tree and now its resolved. So this should be getting more stable now. I am still working on the wifi issue I currently can't connect with this kernel. I have not tried any others yet. I uploaded the lasted build to the mediafire folder for download and the changes are reflected on my github.

Ah... Lithid... How I've missed thee. I'll forgive the whole IPhone thing.

Ha, thanks. I should have the camcorder and wifi fixed today. The last build broke the camera and I think that's my fault. New build coming soon.

Wifi now working!
I got wifi to work now as well now. Like I was saying there were some differences in how this updates handles the data/wifi. The only thing this is missing now is camcorder and 8mm. which will be done today and we will have the first pure aosp 2.3.4 build for the evo.

Got it to work but my Root Explorer now force closes. Won't let me install Rom manager to fix permissions.

No, if you want only to see our new version, move all you files from previos version to new folder

Tested It out in my htc mini, Alot Faster but then no sound even after installing game there is no sound coming out even from locking n unlocking. plus its abit glitchy but thanks for the good job

Because I forgot some files to add here is update for cm6, just extract it to sd card and run haret
- fixed signal
- you not need to unmount sd card for applications like Angry Birds!

I flashed the zip and install totalrecord.apk. It work so nice that it doesn't have any beep at all.
But I was wondering if we can use the chinese dailer.apk which has the record button onboard so I wouldn't need totalrecord.apk anymore. If you(OP) or anyone master here can insert this into the zip file and flash to work everything without 3rd party app would be awesome man!
Attached is the Chinaphone zip which contain all the necessary files which only work on Froyo and it also has the dailer.apk. It will have the record button on the dailpad when you make or receive a call.

I didn't changed anything.
I only downloaded many chinese roms for defy and ms2.
So I tested the libs from that roms to find a set of working libs.
That's all.

I'm using total recall ver1.7.9 full. Worked great, no beep! Try enable dictaphone in your total recall.

Hey, is notification bug fixed in this CM7.1 fixed? We tried everything... It didn't work in CM7 (5.10.2011) and we tried modifying build.prop. When you finish more important features, could you focus on this bug? Thank you for your efford. Congratulations for your work

Is there any way to get samsung keyboard working on CM7 ? I tried by replacing LatinITE.apk or something by it, did not work.
PS: I already searched and found nothing, asked in Q & A thread no one answered...
