Great to see a froyo rom, I liked your 2.1 rom, great modding of the frameworks, downloading soon, and testing then. Can we excpect that you will go for FRF72 Rom soon? Maybe you can easily update this one?

So are there still any bugs in here like a light sensor that does not work, or camera/filming function that does not work?

so...on my Desire , even with the radio 02_2 the WLAN doesn't work

seems nice. just not a fan of the theme so flashed cyanogen.

Tried to install (using Fake flash etc) but bombed out with an error in line 7??? Maybe the zip file I downloaded got corrupted?

[ROM][11-nov-10][v0.2] Milestone MIUI ROM (almost perfect now!)

This rom is now based on the latest release dated 11.05 originally made by MIUI team, i just handled the porting to milestone and added milestone features.
This is a froyo 2.2.1 rom based on top of original 2.2.1 GOT leak rom + changes to work with MIUI rom.
NOTE: a few Droid users keep asking if it works on a CDMA droid, answer is no!

Install using a recovery that support old nandroid backups. this is the edition with only 1 MD5 file.

STATE OF FUNCTIONALITY
ISSUES Reported by users
- Enabled Bluetooth or Mobiledata at bootup , will disable WIFI functionality, so keep Bluetooth and mobiledata disabled at reboot, if you want to enable wifi.from here it seems you can set state all you want after bootup.
- Some settings state, cannot be changed if Wifi is enabled during bootup :-( .
BASEBAND RADIOS for v0.1 ONLY, 0.2+ needs manual install
You can try if these works for you on Froyo 2.2, otherwise you need to copy the files from your original froyo rom that worked.

- Wifi cannot enable, if Bluetooth/Mobiledata is enabled.
- Settings functionality somehow less good, if wifi enabled during bootup.

lockscreen is landscape.. menu is not :-(
- USB seems not implemented the way milestone works, so the Usb from froyo 2.2 is included to save battery, but seems to only "enable" usb, you still need to use the regular froyo way to activate usb storage to pc.
- Very strange but first time i notice, Wifi seems to disable if your battery is below 5-10% , nevery tried it before, but i replaced it with a fully loaded, and wifi worked instantly? maybe the same on all 2.2 kernel roms?

so i think the rom is stable..at least usable

Just a problem report with settings on sd card options. I got FCs everytime there.

Call recording - Need tips on how to port to another rom.???

I have installed roms that have call recording option built in. I liked that feature alot. Currently I have rom installed that has been the best on speed and battery life, but does not have call recording. I have modified roms on icons and simple apps but I dont know about the call recording apk's and other software needed in the donor roms I have. I have explored the phone.apk and phone util.apks. the icons are there for call recording but I'm not sure about what else is needed. Do I need any .jar files or any html's? Also the call recording fuction is from 2.2 js8 rom and my current rom is 2.2 jl1 Andromeda V3. Will there be a conflict between them because of the different codes?
Any help or direction pointed would be an awesome help. Thanks

Thanks killer_raj for that pointer. I had looked at that app before starting this thread, but it records every call in and out. I wanted to port over the set-up thats in Continuum 4 where I can record on the fly at my choice. I just dont know which files I need to make this port happen. But reading over that post again has helped in that in partially. I still need a dev or someone who has done or worked on this call recording to help me out.

u can flash this after u flashed the first file...then u get the option of disabling auto call reording..and u can give ur preferred name for the call recording...

well i dont know..coz i m using custom rom..apex..2.2.1...its workin in this one..so u can try....there is no harm in tryin..coz the files in here...while flashing it will make the backup on the prevous app in ur sdcard..which u can restore if there is any malfunction..
and theres is one alternative for the sec file(xtra_pachage) as well....after flashin the first file..u can install this app(call recording control) also which i m attachin here...to control the call rec feature...
and here the sec attached file(update_restrore) is for restorin to the previous dailer which didnt hav call recording..i mean ur default dailer...if there is any malfunction...

[ROM] Updated: 1-8-12 Hybrid - P999 Gingerbread 2.3.4 colorized - LG Camera - Rooted

Update: January 8, 2012 @ 15:50 p.m. ICT
Okay, here's the deal. I used the UOT Kitchen to make some more colorful notification bar icons. If I flash v 1.1c and let it boot, and then flash the UOT update file everything works. But if I replace the two UOT modded files in the v 1.1c flash and then flash the rom there is no notification bar. So for some reason I cannot figure out, the phone must boot without the UOT mods one time, then flash the UOT mods and everything still works. So I am going to post the link for the UOT mods. I am going to post a new v 1.1e that fixes the build.prop for market issues. After flashing that boot once and then boot into CWM and flash the UOT Kitchen mods. It's the only way I can get it to work right now. The UOT flash only takes a few second so not a big deal. This means if you do a factory reset after flashing the UOT mods the status bar will probably be missing again after the factory reset. If you factory reset and the status bar is missing simply flash v 1.1e again, boot and then flash the UOT Kitchen mods again. Best I can do for now.

New Happy New Year 2012 version 1.1d. More colorization in the notification bar (some icons from UOT Kitchen). New fun pattern lockscreen and CM regular lockscreen also from UOT kitchen. Market issue fixed so protected apps can be downloaded with no issues. Other minor fixes I cannot remember as I did the changes a while ago. The issue with Swype saying "Not configured for this device..." has beenr resolved. There are patches below and v 1.1c has Swype fully functional, along with all other updates and fixes so far.

LG Camera added. I have ported the LG Camera from the P990 2.3.4 build and as far as I can tell it is working perfectly. New version uploading now and there is an updater if you have already installed this rom. Note: The front facing camera (FFC) is inverting the video. At the moment there is no fix for it. If you need the FFC for video chat, etc. please keep the stock camera app.
Note: If you want to access LG Hidden Menus on this rom you need to enter 1809#*95# into the dialer since the base rom was ported from an LG-L95G device (the hardware is identical to the P999).

I am starting a new thread because this is a different version of my ROM pulled from the LG-L95G (same hardware as the LG-P999 in every aspect). I was attempting to port the new 2.3.4 ROM from the P990 that LG released in Europe (Italy to be specific). I got a rom that booted and almost everything worked except for the cell signal. After trying everything I could think of to get the signal working, I decided to take another approach. What I have done is taken my 2.3.4 stockish rom and skinning it with files from the P990 rom. So far what I have got working is colored icons in settings, the entire rom is now the LG blue theme (which I think looks really nice) and new notification bar icons. I cannot figure out why the Google data turning the icons green doesn't work in the P999 roms, but it does work in the P990 roms. I haven't found the difference yet to make this work, so I just made them green all the time as it looks better, in my opinion. I also implemented the crt screen of animation so when you unlock your screen you no longer see your old screen first.
I am also going to try and port LG Home (the LG UI) over as an option but it has a lot of dependencies and that is going to take a while to implement. So I am releasing an initial release of the rom with the changes I have accomplished so far. I have attached some screen shots. I will also work on porting the LG camera later.
If you have already installed my 2.3.4 rom based on the LG-L95G rom you can just run the updater zip to get the colorized version.

Right now cam is google cam. LG cam from P990 going to be ported over if I can get it working well.

This is great just what I.was wanting a little color.
BTW is there a reason the build prop is read only?

You have to use a tool like Root Explorer and have root permissions to edit the build.prop. If it is set to read only you can change permissions in root explorer to anything you want.

Flashed updater everything went fine im using UMA version for T-Mobile wifi calling features of v. 6b and I have usb tether with win 7 64 bit

Edit: hey J pardon my ignorance but when I try to change permissions it tells me that build prop permissions cannot be changed because the file is read only.

Yea, if you use the updater everything remains the same. The files that are changed are /system/frameowrk/framework-res.apk, /system/app/Settings.apk and /system/app/SettingsuUI.apk. If you already have the TMO UMA stuff on there it won't touch it.
BTW, how well is your UMA wifi calling working? Some people have reported they cannot get it to connect.

Flashed updater everything went fine im using UMA version for T-Mobile wifi calling features of v. 6b and I have usb tether with win 7 64 bit

Edit: hey J pardon my ignorance but when I try to change permissions it tells me that build prop permissions cannot be changed because the file is read only.

were you able to check if this solves the blank carrier name?

Jboxer great rom .. great to have another Dev here... Just flashed and everythings working great .. Widow works fine, actually just used it ... I'm at work and get horrible reception in here so wifi is a must... Are we able to use fauxs 2.3.4 kernals with this rom.. I know they were for his aosp roms but they should work right?

Regarding not being able to edit build.prop. Are you using Root Explorer with root?

Deleted post. User did not click on R/W in Root Explorer.

Tried the new version with the LG CAM and the front facing camera image is upside down. I will try the one with the regular camera now and see if that works. Will also try and see if it works with Gtalk Video chat and Skype-I need the video chat functionality...

Email and browser are working fine on mine. How did you install it? Did you add any system apks or edit anything? Go into CWM and clear the Dalvik Cache and reboot. You might have something you installed interfering with them.
Go into CWM and run fix permissions if you are still having a problem.

Got it had to change the setting at the top. I don't have anything FCing but when I log into the.market Facebook says this app is not compadable? Crazy huh
BTW Google front came is working fine I.don't.know.about the LG came will try when I get home every file I try to download is unsuccessful.

What did you change in the build.prop? It doesn't say that for me. Market and facebook A-OK here.

facebook mayb is market issue?my gf's huawei x5 get this problem but after few day the not compatible has been removed?

As we know, Call recording is legally in China, so the files in this zip is from China's Defy+ 2.3.6, I test already, no FC , no Crash, and all things are perfect
I see another tread has this too, but files in that thread are older from 2.3.4,
files in my thread is the newest from Defy+ 2.3.6 of China's ROM.
just install it with Recovery, your phone will be OK on Call recording

better than CRC CRC32 9f7aa5ef. i used this file quite a long time.
not perfect too, some crashes in my CM7,
in most of cases, happened in picking up calls but no communication(voice) at all, cannot end call, have to restart the unit

you should install this fix with three lib files, then all things will be OK, if you just use just one lib file, there are problems

will try rest of file later, unit cannot boot atm during cm9 test

We also need the dialer where we get the option to record the calls. In the default call recorder app we cant launch it during an active call.

On CM7 just libaudio.so is needed . I don't know for CM9, i will try this weekend when new built of CM9 com .

apply this patch will create bootloop in Cm9 .

The old lib worked for me with cm7 for a long time. Since mid of november it doesnt work anymore. Will try the new fix.

I use the above files on cm7 rc1.5 with call recorder widget, some1 post apk of the recorder here, it wrks fine. no issues till now.

Nobody test on CM9 ?

I installed the patch from the first post on my Defy (running CM7.1 Stable).
After Installation, I hear the 10 sec beep everytime during a phone call, even after removing the call recording app!
Any solution to stop the beeps??
