I posted this in on the RegawMod thread as well, but I really need to get this fixed..
Anyway, so when I go to use the Wireless Tether for Root Users (using RegawMod's ROM), it force closes on me every time.. I can get into the app, but as soon as I start the tether, it force closes. I tried reinstalling it, but that doesn't seem to help. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Thanks for the help, much appreciated!!
USB Debuggin on? Super User installed?
Can you run super user from the app drawer?

Yes, USB Debugging is on, Super User is installed and present in my app drawer, however, when I go to run that app, all I get is one line that says
10049:10049 0:0 /system/bin/sh

Is that right or should it be doing something else?
Oh, and when I click on that one line, it just disappears and the screen turns black. I can't do much on it, so I just hit home out to the home screen.
I would try to reflash the rom, sounds like SU is not working right. Either that or reinstall SU and see if that gets it. Maybe you could try this first:
go into settings > Applications find Super User and clear the data.
Then try to WiFI tether again.

You think I should wipe and reflash or just flash the ROM again?

I would personally wipe and reflash for the simple fact that you'd then be flashing onto a clean device...

I was messing around with the root finder and somehow delelted my TouchWiz30Launcher.apk and TouchWiz30Launcher.odex in the system/app folder and now i have a black screen. Any know how to fix this please.....
please dont post a topic in the dev section asking for help, the mods will lock this im sure. i replied to your post in the launcher thread. i need to know more about the state your phone is in before i can point you in the right direction. i see you are rooted. that is good. was debugging enabled before this happened? have you modded 3e recovery so it can run update.zip files?
No I was not in debugging (forgot)
I get a black screen and a task bar, nothing else my buttons dont work.. I can see any apps or anything but black screen, I think I moved or did something to the TouchWiz30Launcher.apk and TouchWiz30Launcher.odex
I was hopeing I might be able to get into the system/app files from m y cpu..

you would need to be in debugging mode, have you restarted the phone? if not good! hold the home button for 5 seconds, see if the recent app list pops up. if you have rebooted you need to prey that recovery is adb enabled

this might be a pain. before you do any mods you want a backup plan. im hopefully gonna get you setup with cwm recovery then after it is fixed(if we can do it) you will have a way to restore from the phone. ill be back with links and instructions
If i go into the Android system recovery and choose delete all user data or something from there will that help or work

wait you have cwm working?
well no. andriod doesnt work like that. maybe reinstall packages can restore some things but not likely the launcher. but deleting user data is all you will do with a "factory reset" it is kinda a misnomer. it assumes you didnt delete anything.

I am trying to install NextGen 1.5
Problem is, in main menu, whenever I go to "recovery", fone gets struck with htc logo(white background). Then I have to take out battery, re-insert, press vol down+power up .....fast boot and run "recovery.bat" from pc(while connected fone to pc). then I get back the CWM Recovery Menu.
This is occuring everytime. Please help me to fix it.
Try with some other recovery, it's not like you don't have a choice And from which main menu you're getting in to recovery?

well "main menu" refers to vol down+power button, which leads to "fast boot, recovery, factory reset" options.

Fone is perfectly rooted. Had been using it for 1 yr, n now for the frst tym put custom rom and all these issues.
That's for the dsp
.Music player force closes bcoz of DSP libraries to fix just remove the library file from /system/lib/soundfx/libcyanogen-dsp.so it will perfectly like breeze.

From NExtGen thread, when firstly 1.5 was released this was kind'a annoying bug, so there was a lot of question about that, here is the specific post from where I took it > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33599083&highlight=1+5+dsp+fix#post33599083
Just a friendly advice for the next time, there is a 'search in this thread' function which is really helpful when you have an issue with, whichever rom, cos it's possible for somebody to yell at you if you asked something that has been answered several times before

Does anybody else get asked if they would like to "Fix root" every time they reboot their phone in clockwork? I've clicked it a few times and it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm not sure if anything is actually wrong as I can run root apps and have s-off.
Any suggestions?

I always selected yes, jsut in case. But I made the jump to official TWRP and no longer get that nag. Maybe check that out. To me its better, esp since its 100% working now.

I've been getting the same issue since rooting. Root seems to work just fine regardless (can write to /system and everything.)
From what I can tell, it's an issue with the permissions on the su binary. The permissions are rwx-r-x-r-x where as they should be rws-r-x-r-x (setuid bit set.) The easiest way to check this on your device is through the rootchecker app. You can try and manually change the permissions but they don't stick, and I haven't found anybody else with the problem or a solution.
I used to get this on twrp on my s4 and with cwm on this device as well. Always selected no and everything was fine.

You cant manually do it from what im aware, you might have to talk to a developer who knows more about your phone.
Otherwise, restart and try again.
This might help: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19886456/nexus-5-kitkat-4-4-wont-authorize-my-windows-8-computer

Depends on your skill. You can for instance compile your own build of a ROM with those features unlocked.
