Okay, so I bricked my phone messing around with Infused addons. I used ultimate unbrick to reset the phone to stock and now I want to reinstall Infused ROM.
In the market going to download the few standard apps I need to do this, NOTHING WILL DOWNLOAD. I get "application name cannot be downloaded due to an error."
No matter what app I look at, this is what I get. What the heck is going on? All I did was root my phone as soon as the stock image was restored.
That happened to me too last night but I soft rebooted and the problem went away. It also happened again but this time I turned airplane mode on and back off and the download worked.

It may be due to updated market. Uninstall the new market and it will go back to the old one. I had a low space error when I had plenty of space and it fixed it

Try clearing the cache

You have to factory reset your phone

You need to boot into recovery and reset all the data.. I had this problem last night, and thats finally what resolved it for me.
Starting yesterday my phone started freezeing during calls. I pull the phone away from my face during a call and after the screen comes back on I can't press any buttons or end the call. I have to end up pulling the battery to reset it. Everything else is working fine. Anyone have any idea what the world is going on here?
More info would help. Are you running stock or a specific ROM?

I had this problem while running stock deodexed roms. I switched to just the leaked roms and it took care of the problem.

Try doing a factory reset.
Tried factory reset, tried gtg's ultimate unbrick to go back to froyo and nothing. Also tried rooting and installing cyanogenmod but my phone kept booting i to android recovery mode instead of clockwork recovery for some reason

my friend has the same issue fixed by:
Wiping Data and doing a complete factory reset.
For the very first time I noticed this today. I think this has something to do with some random app we installed. Mine hung today even on incoming calls. A reboot fixed though.
I just flashed cm10m1 from paranoid android. Phone failed activation several times. Now I don't get the activation any more. I have no mobile data. Installed the flash several times. Could I please be pointed into the right direction for a fix. I'm stuck on WiFi at work and no access to a real computer. I work on a heart floor and about to have a heart attack.
You may have a null imei in your phone. You will probably have to flash back to stock and redo.

Go to your about phone and see if you have an imie number there first.

My imei is there. I backed it up to the Samsung and took a backup with the synergy way. I'm charging ATM so will double check the number showing up on the about phone to the one behind the battery.
OK imei is good. Still matches. I have a feeling it has to do with data left on the card bug I did a factory reset and wiped cache. Then the devlech. Installed and wiped cache and devlech again. I'm stumped. Does fixing the permisions mess things up?
The only two ROMs I've used is cm10m1 and paranoid android hybrid ui.

No fixing permissions wont mess anything up. Try reprovisioning your phone. It's a dialer code, but can't think of it at the moment I googled it. I had a data problem and that fixed me right up.
It will factory rest your phone so just a heads up.

I went to go re-provision and dialed *2767*3855# and nothing happened. Is this the correct method? I even hit the phone and got a msg call cannot be completed as dialect.
OK this sounds stupid. And yes I'm an idiot. I never got an activation screen on this flash. My bars are grey but they say 4g and I have mobile data. Sorry to freak out. Thought it was supposed to be blue with mobile data.
I just rebooted after installing the gapps and my bars are blue and says 4g. I swear I didn't get a successful activation this flash. I was freaking cause I started and restarted several times. Sorry everyone.
I still would like to know how to reprovision for the wiping it does. I can already see my internal SD getting cluttered.
It's all good, but that it's how you reprovision. It should have done it a soon add you entered the last #. But maybe it only works on stock based. I thought it worked in them all though.

Provisioning is only guaranteed to work on stock.

Hi all, I rooted my s3 and after restoring my titanium backups from my evo, I kept getting this error saying that com.android.phone has stopped. It would freeze my phone and not connect to voice or data. I had to do a factory reset to fix it. My question is, is that what people refer to when "losing imei", I did back it up, so I wanna know if that happens again I can just restore my imei instead of resetting, losing all my data, and having to root all over again.
Thanks

Idk what that term is or how Samsung work but when I restored system items(idk which ones) from an ics rom to a gb rom it kept throwing that error. I'm surprised you could factory reset and fix it without odin

+1 I stay away from backing up system apps it always causes issues.
Sounds like you mixed EVO system with S3 system.
Hello, I'm trying to fix a friends stock Telus GT-I5800L which won't but into Android, I can enter recovery fine and wipe cache partition however when I go to factory reset the process begins but appears to get stuck on formatting data, the bar is moving but it never gets past this step, it's been over an hour now

I am not a master at all these things. As I understand you are getting hung when Recovery/CWM is trying to access data partition. Hence I assume data partition is corrupted.
It may be prudent to flash one of the stock ROMs.
The list of stock ROMs is available on this thread.

Fixed by installing kyrllios' froyo rom.
P.s. xda's posting restrictions hinder helpful feedback. I only wonder how many ppl had useful info to share but said f it when the msg "you can only make one post every 5min"came up.
