i don't know if this is a bug/prob of a none-sence rom specially.
canogenmod dont identify my service-provider (congstar, a t-moblile brand) and show empty space instead.
on sence roms, it works flawless.

ive never seen this. If it bothers you i would suggest asking in the cyanogenmod forums or contact the developers to see if they are aware of the issue

Sorry wrong forum (posted in q&a htc hero)
Pls delete
Hi,
I'm posting my question here, since i can't reply on the original thread.
Currently i'm running Elelinux-7.1-Hero-v3.6 (custom) on my HTC Hero.
First off all, great job and thank you so much for keeping the hero alive!!
Tried a lot of different roms and this one leaves the others far behind!
I do however have a small problem with wifi. The device is not "finding" my home network. It does find other networks in the area, and i have been able to log in on a friends network. But it doesnt find this particular one. Other devices (laptops, desktops) are able to connect to it, so i dont think that the issue lies with the network.
Previously i was running elelinux FROYO_2.2.1_Final_Android_Stock (special edition) and did not have this problem.
Is there anyone with the same/a similar problem? Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?
Dont know if it matters, its an assus N-router.
Thank you
Hi Guys
sorry if this has been posted before ..
I have successfully loaded win 7 on my hd2 and even managed to get the code to register live ...
everytime i go onto market place and try download something it says
"cant get this information at the moment check again in a little while"
its been saying this all night now and am at my wits end with it
anyone help please
Thanks
Ste
Have you, perchance, checked the HD2-specific section of this forum? You're running a custom build of an OS that's not supposed to have custom builds on hardware that isn't supposed to run the OS, so some problems are expected. This isn't the best place to get them fixed, though - most people on this part of the site have official WP7 devices. Try the HD2 forums, especially the thread for the ROM you're using.
Yes, you should definitely be in the HD2 forums.
Having done a lot with my HD2 before I bought the Lumia, I can tell you that it matters to know what ROM you're using. Are you able to buy apps via Zune or the windowsphone website?
Have you tried a hard reset?
I used the Back to the Future ROM and only had issues with the marketplace once out of about 12 installs. That issue was related to my liveid and not what you're experiencing at all.
Thanks will look into it
I have searched EVERYWHERE for this information, and I cannot find it anywhere. So, if this is posted in some obscure place, I apologize and please refrain from flaming. I have searched for hours.
I keep getting this weird icon in text messages. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of it, but as soon as I get it again, I will be more than happy to post it. The icon looks like a button with an x on it... like the x button on the xbox or PS controller. However, this button is grey. It shows up over the date time stamp in the text message screen where you can view all and select a conversation.
At first I was thinking that this icon meant that I had reached the text message limit and old texts were being deleted, but that turns out to not be the case. I watched my limit with other conversations and none of them showed that icon after reaching the limit.
Anyone have any ideas what it can be???
You might want to tell people your phone make and model as it will help people know possible causes.

My apologies. I didnt really think it mattered for this particular instance. But its a T-Mobile LG G2X. I now have the EGB ICS ROM, but when the incident happened I had the stock ROM (I believe it was Gingerbread 2.3.3). Even tho I am fairly sure it won't happen with this ROM I'd still like to know what it was.

No need to apologise, I wasn't meaning to sound like you had done something wrong by not mentioning make or model it's just that a lot of manufacturers customise android and it could be a feature that yours has but not standard android, so it can help if you're having problems.
If your circle looked like the one on the following web page http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-t-mobile/449304-grey-circle-x-text-messages.html it is likely the same cause, that the contacts whose messages had that button attached were synced contacts that were not online.
It could be something specific to your rom of course, I've not seen the same circle button so can only guess but it may be same cause as that already mentioned.

Hello guys,
First of all, this is a very nice forum, and got info about everything, but it doesnt have my device in it ;(
secondly, i am a newbie  hehe.
i am glad i found this place,, and i hope a noob is welcomed and assisted to be a pro one day
okay, here is what happened. I have a Samsung GT B5512 (touch and type, dual sim, dual camera and a crappy config phone)
well, I have rooted it. and done hell lot of things with it. but dint spoil up anything but still somehow managed to remove android recovery and put ODIN downloader over there.
but, few days ago i noticed, my secondary camera is fault, so i am going to give it to replace.
as we all know, my warranty is "dead and gone away" but still, i wish there was any way to make phone "stock device".
so can anyone help me in that?
and secondly, after i get my camera replaced, stock is gonna go out of the windows.. so as cyanogenmod is not available for my device, can anyone suggest me any other mods?
(dont care for the graphics, i am the PERFORMANCE GUY)
So any suggestion or solutions?
I don't know anything about your device so I can't help with the specifics, but some things I recommend are:
1. Backup all of your data with Titanium backup and store one on your PC before sending your phone in
2. Search for more info about your device both here and on other Android forums, there's bound to be a tutorial for returning to stock (seeing as there was one for rooting it)
3. Check for unofficial versions of Cyanogenmod, there are usually plenty
4. Consider MIUI, it's fast and has a fair amount of eye candy, although for me personally it's far too iOS-esque
Thanks

Hi all
I am completely lost on this and am really hoping someone can help.
I was scrolling through my contacts recently and I saw a contact I have never seen before. All my contacts are linked to my Google account however his one was a sim contact. It had a picture attached to it of someone I have never seen, the name is not someone I know and when I went into the contact there us a US phone number and address (I am in the UK and do not have any contacts in the US. I have never interacted with this person in any way.
I have Googled the number and address with no luck, I have also searched to see if anyone else has had a problem like this and cant find anything. I have run a few virus scans and they have all come back clean. I have not installed any new apps as far as I can remember recently.
Has anyone else ever seen this before?
Samsung Galaxy S3, rooted, stock rom, Android version 4.1.2
Sorry, I am not usually one to bump but I would really like to get some ideas on this.
