Hi,
I'm posting my question here, since i can't reply on the original thread.
Currently i'm running Elelinux-7.1-Hero-v3.6 (custom) on my HTC Hero.
First off all, great job and thank you so much for keeping the hero alive!!
Tried a lot of different roms and this one leaves the others far behind!
I do however have a small problem with wifi. The device is not "finding" my home network. It does find other networks in the area, and i have been able to log in on a friends network. But it doesnt find this particular one. Other devices (laptops, desktops) are able to connect to it, so i dont think that the issue lies with the network.
Previously i was running elelinux FROYO_2.2.1_Final_Android_Stock (special edition) and did not have this problem.
Is there anyone with the same/a similar problem? Does anyone have any idea how to resolve this?
Dont know if it matters, its an assus N-router.

Hi all,
I'm presently on the 3G network using a Motorola A920 phone. Compared to my XDA 1 it's trash!
I'm sure the XDA doesn't work on 3G so my question is, what is the best (similar to XDA) PDA/Phone for 3G?

There was a XDA1 model..EDGE..try to search closely on i-net
there are no 3g phones that use pocketpc software that i know off
but htc are working on one

in the forums when a word is underlined like HTC is then it pop up a windows showing what it is from the forum dictionary
but HTC are the ones who make the pda's this forum is about
I thought the i-mate evo on expansys.com was a CDMA 3g phone, is this not the case?
yes, it is a 3G and imate started selling that in australia.

Just a little 'off topic'! I do recall that when I used to hover the mouse over one of these underlined words such as HTC a popup used to appear with information.
This doesn't happen now! I checked my IE settings (all default). Any ideas?

if you have a popblocker installed, it will not allow the popup windows (duh)(i had the same problem though, so, DUH to me :lol: )
Otherwise, I don't know of any reason they would just stop coming up. Any newly installed software, or use of preinstalled software used only recently, could possibly change some setting somewhere to give you that problem. Then again, i have soo much spyware/addware on my pc, it's hosed up and nothing works as expected. Anyway, good luck, and let us know.
Your on XP and just update with the latest IE patch, it knocks them out on my wifes machine.

I hadn't intentionally installed a popup blocker but discovered it's a component of the Google toolbar!

I have an HTC Hero that is rooted (sprint cdma). I have the Mocado rom installed on it. For some reason my wifi tethering does not work. When I turn it on and search for it on other devices, it does not even show there is a network available. I have tried it from other phones, laptops, and even a PSP. Please forgive me if this has been covered before, but i could not locate an answer to this anywhere. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
has it ever worked? Which version of the wifi tether app are you using?
Used the Search and I got ten listings for "WiFi Teathering".
You need to make sure you use the latest version.

I would imagine THIS is probably the best place to start, but it doesn't look like it separated into GSM and CDMA so just be very careful before you flash ANYTHING to make sure it's for the one you have!
*edit- DEFINITELY NOT trying to deterr anyone from XDA, just thought you might find the most relevant information there
Okay, it's come to this.
I recently booted void onto my Optimus T and am loving it, I totally recommend it but for one thing: No WiFi Calling.
I've spent days scouring the web for an .apk and have tried to rip the file myself from several custom roms. However, the big thing is, I don't want the whole T-Mobile package of apps.
Please, this is the most elite source of Android knowledge on the internet. If anyone can help me, it's you guys.

update to 2.2 then Wifi calling is there.
Anybody know any patch who really make work the wifi d hoc connections on any of the roms available until now???
When i try connect nothing happen, in the wireless ad hoc networks marked with a * on the network list.

Which ICS ROM are you using? Is it stock?
I have tried ALL ICS roms available on the Development area, but until now, anyone developer have take a look at this, only in the Bluetooth tethering, who dont work for me cause i use a Nokia 5800 to provide Internet to my Xoom.

my friend there are a couple of threads already opened prior to yours asking the same question. Lets do a little better searching and maybe you should ask your question in one of their threads so we can centralize this issue. Believe me you are not the only one inquiring about this....

I just upgraded my ROM Jedi Elite KK for 4.4.2 on my Tmobile note 3, however I am unable to receive mms and it is quite aggravating. So my question is, does anyone know how to fix this? Also I am using ATT on it, so I have an unlocked APN
