Cant sync Google Music! - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I noticed that under my Google account, I lost the option to sync my music? I'm on TPC v2 which is based off of the Rogers rom so could that be why?
I just added the new Chevelle album "Hats off to the Bull" (which is amazing btw) and I cant sync it!
I also searched the forum and found only info from like June so that didnt help...

Are you on mobile data of wifi? It has a setting for no sync or playing while on network

The option to even check off "Sync Music" isnt even there. I'm gonna wipe and try a new Rom anyway and see if it's there. I'm wondering if maybe the Rogers based roms dont support googles new cloud service because its Canada or something.

Music Beta sync not syncing.

I got my invite on Wednesday and added all 3,000+ songs but the only thing that is showing up in my music app on my Xoom (and Droid x) is the free 100 songs or so that Google gives you when you sign up. I made sure that my Google account is selected in the Music app settings. I tried clearing data/cache, uninstalled/reinstalled music app but still nothing on either device. When I go tto settings > accounts and sync > Google account there is a red exclamation point next to the "Sync Music" option with the error message "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." Anyone have any idea what is going on and how to fix?
I guess that's why it is called "Beta"?
or they could be having problems. Stop freaking out.

Well that's why I'm asking, seeing if there are any others experiencing the same problem. No need to be an asshole

I'm not. Mine is uploading all my music right now. 1900 of 7589 lol. Both devices are syncing for me. My nexus and xoom
I have close to 6000 of 15729 on the Xoom now. Its working. I would let google know.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
I seen that red dot next to syncing problem. They're having some sever error probably. I clear the cache and restarted and the next morning it was working again.
I've been having the same error on my SGSII and my Xoom.
Galaxy Tab 10.1
I am still having sync problems on the tablet but my HTC thunderbolt syncs fine. Anyone else experiencing something similar? I realize it is beta but just curious if others are seeing the same thing.
i emailed Google and heard back. They said they were experiencing problems and that it should be resolved within 24 hours.
My tablet now seems to be fully functional! Awesomeness
Got invite for my verizon xoom, registered, and I can play music fine via web interface.
My tablet won't sync though
I do not have the 'music' sync option in settings->'applications and sync'.
How do I enable that ?
(I don't have it on my phone either, if that helps)
Me neither...I get the options to sync BOOKS, GMAIL, CONTACTS, DOCS and CALENDAR...not MUSIC though. This is on a DroidX that just got the Gingerbread update

I also have a DroidX with Gingerbread update and my situation is the same as yours. No Music option in the google sync. I have uploaded the music (took almost 24 hours and the wifi connection was painfully slow during this time). I see the music online but not on the Droid.
Same problem here. My Samsung Galaxy S2 has the "Sync Music" option but not the Xoom!

[Q] Server search on Gmail doesn't work - says "can't connect"

I added the GMail account through Google option (haven't tried the POP and IMAP).
It syncs fine, but it doesn't do a server search. Whenever I try it, it returns an error saying that it can't connect to the network.
Anyone knows how to fix it?
P.S. And how come there is not even an option to do server search for Hotmail?
Additional data:
- I'm using Samsung Focus with Mango
- device is unlocked, but branded to AT&T (not sure if it has anything to do with Gmail)
- tried both on 3G and WiFi
Thanks!

I have the same problem. It was present in 7712 and still is in the retail release of 7720. I also have a Samsung Focus, but I doubt that is the cause. I'm considering deleting the Google account from the phone and adding it back, but I hate to have to relink all of the contacts whose names are different from Facebook. Considering how Google has blocked non-primary calendars for Windows Phone and their event/invitation implementation is somewhat broken with Windows Phone, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that server search is also a broken feature, whether intentional or not. Has anyone had any success re-creating the Google account on the phone?
i've noticed the same problem! I hope this is just an issue of me just setting up my account wrong

this is seriously annoying
I guess gmail wants us to go android, but I won't. I'm going to add another email account and suffer through. Fortunately for me I don't have a lot of important contacts with gmail.
I reported this to Microsoft a few weeks ago, and they are aware of the issue. I'm thinking it must be on Google's side. When labels come to Hotmail, I may just switch over entirely.

2 problems with Virtuous Inquisition 3.0

hey guys,
i have 2 questions about Virtuos Inquisition 3.0.
1) I can't turn off mobile internet. There is NO possibility to do this. I can turn off wifi, bluetooth and so on but not the mobile internet. As soon as i leave my wifi area it connects with the mobile internet. I mean, it is kind of impossible that they removed this in 3.0 ?!
2) I syncronized my google and facebook account in my contacts but still no profile pictures in my contacts. Whats the problem? It worked fine with InsertCoin...
Can someone help me or has the same problems?

Even if you do manage to get the images to sync the quality is rubbish, look at an app in the market place that allows you to sync with Facebook but with better def images for your contacts. Its called HaxSync
Thanks for your both help !!!
I have no credit card and i won't get one just for shopping in the android store. But i will ask a friend to buy this app for me

Contact/Calendar Sync WITHOUT needing HTC Software

For those of you who are experimenting with AOSP ROMs on your HTC phone and want to synchronize contacts and calendar items with your desktop, have a look at this application. You can install the Android version via the market, the desktop install is freely available from the developer's website below.
http://global.mobileaction.com/product/product_AM.jsp
Also have a look at MyPhoneExplorer. It is also free from the market and very similiar software. You can view your phone's screen on your monitor and operate your phone with your mouse and keyboard. It is a proven software.

Interesting. I like the less cluttered look of this desktop version, but what worries me is the non-english support forum. I wonder if using both of these tools, in addition to the HTC sync software, might create some sort of incompatibility.
ETA: I also wonder how these utilities will respond when switching between ROMs or versions. I don't know how they track synchronization sessions. It'd be a disaster if contact items were duplicated or triplicated when updating or experimenting.

Did you have them synced with Google? If you did then just resign into your google account and they will be restore. As for TIBU it doesnt back up contacts by default as they are stored in System Data and restoring any system data, like contacts, sms, emails, wifi settings and things like that can cause huge issues when changing roms.
I had them synced but for some reason i cannot no matter what find them.. and they did not resync on the cell when i set it up again

Check the sync and account settings to make sure it is selected.

once your sync options are double checked as Zel mentioned, sign in to gmail from the gmail app and get your email, this puts it into a forced sync. Should have all your stuff back.
Thanks for sharing, BillTheCat. I was not familiar with this app. I'l check it out. I've been using Google to sync my stuff.
