Duracell rechargeable battery question??? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Duracell rechargeable battery question???
Instant USB charger.
5 Volt/1150mAh rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.
0.6 AMP
Will this work for our phones???
They went on clearance on Black Friday and they still have a few left at my local store for $5.00 from the normal $19.99.
Thanks in advanced.

Works just fine, I've been using the same one for about a year now (on my mt4g and now g2x)

Is 1150mAh worth it to lug around? Probably better just to carry an extra battery around or get the extended batteries.

I have one of those extended batteries.
I need it as a emergency backup. The other day I was gone for 2 days with out a charger. I had the extended battery and forgot my charger and stock battery was with me but dead.

I have three of those extended batteries. I think I can go a week with them if I didn't have a charger handy and using the phone conservatively.

i don't see no reason it wouldn't work i read about it

It works great on a Samsung Galaxy S 4G to bad it only charges from completely dead to 75% to 80. Not bad for emergency.

Where can I get a dock charger for my 3500mah battery?

I've purchased two 3500mah batteries off ebay and would like to have some sort of dock charger so I can just charge one of the batteries while my phone is using the other one. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Did u try wirelessground.com?

Yea, but I'm only seeing a dock charger for the phone itself. I need one for a 3500mah battery.
check this out
http://www.buy.com/pr/product.aspx?sku=224072509&sellerid=16060654
and it has a slot for a 2nd battery...sooo cool
I bought a 3500mAH battery and external battery charger from Amazon. The external charger plugs into 120VAC, has a 5V USB output and a charge indicator which indicates when the battery is fully charged.
Here's Amazon.com pages for just the charger:
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Battery-Ch...B8/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1324233294&sr=8-16
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-Deskt...QF2G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1324233626&sr=8-2
I never charge my phone anymore, just switch out batteries using external charger
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Have to make sure you get a charger that takes the battery right0side up (same way it goes into the phone)... On my Vibrant, I had the official Samsung spare battery charger, and it took the battery upside down. Which meant that the contacts on any extended battery wouldn't match up as the battery is too thick.
EDIT: Oh yeah, this might should be in the accessories forum....

Onite Battery Review

First off I would like to give a big thanks to James for allowing me to be a beta tester for his batteries, and accessories. Received this stock replacement with Nfc, about 5-6 days ago and have been using it since,.. great battery! And if your looking for something to replace your factory battery or just a spare, you can't beat it,..especially for what they sell for! I consider myself a pretty heavy phone user, of course don't go crazy and put the brightness all the way up or anything, but texting, phone calls, YouTube, Netflix, web browsing, I do a very good bit of it. I'll get right down to it and post my battery screen shots with the Onite,.. More reviews coming soon including an Onite extended with Nfc. Thanks again James,..this is a great battery guys! Btw phone is unrooted, completely stock

i would totally agree with the OP on this. i recieved one too for my s4 and must say if not more i am getting the same amount of time from this battery that i would get from the stock battery. would recommend anyone in the market who carries spare batteries like me.

Oh,I use NFC with S3 usually.
But I don't think it is related with the wireless charging.
Maybe you need a Wireless Charger Receiver Pad if you lay it on a charging back.

You can get the wireless charger pad on ebay or amazon.

OP, do you need a separate charger for the nfc onite battery or can I charge it while its in my phone? I've had past experiences with aftermarket batteries only being able to be charged with that company's charger and was disappointed when that battery was drained.

The one they are making now,..should be just about finished, it's 600ma so it will be significantly better than the other one, I'll make a post as soon as I have one in hand. I should be receiving one soon, not sure what the older charger takes for a full charge I think it's 6.5 hours or longer,..which is why they've been working hard to get this new 600ma charger out.

All I got to say is that i did get those kind of batteries from ebay, and they are definitely not the mAh they say they are. I bought them for the GS3 but they died way faster than the stock Samsung battery. My advise is pay up the price for some thing better, or know that these batteries will last a lot less than stock. I am actually looking for the ones from amazon. There is a review of 6 batteries in one of the threads that says there is a battery that last a bit longer than stock. That's what I'm buying.

I agree, I wouldn't trust to use any batteries with no brand and claim to have higher mAh capacity
So what are the specs of the ZeroLemon charger? I have one from ebay that says the output is plus or minus 350 mAh. It takes about 7 hours to charge a GS3 battery.

If you get a fake I would expect to get a refund from amazon. It took 4 hours this morning to go from red light to Green (could have been less I was out running errands and came back to it green). Don't know what amp it uses, it has an ac adaptor it comes with.

Even four hours is not bad for going from 0% to 100%. I know with the stock charger the phone charges the battery in about two hours, with no usage.

Anker Galaxy Note 4 Batteries w/Travel Charger Review

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q4NQQA0 $22.99
Anker sent me a replacement battery for my Galaxy Note 4 last week (which I did a separate review for). To summarize, the batteries are identical to the OEM Samsung 3220mAh batteries that come with the phone. My one "con" which I sent to Anker was that I wish it came with an external battery charger... so one is in your phone, and the other is plugged into the charger in the wall getting juiced up.
Well... I was real happy when they offered to send me a new setup... this one with (2) replacement 3220mAh batteries, and a external wall charger! I now have 4 separate batteries for my phone (the 2 new ones, the one Anker sent me last week, and my original Samsung battery). Having the external charger is awesome! I love having all my batteries juiced and ready to go.
The external charger works as advertised... and even has a 5V USB port, so as your battery is charging in the wall, you can plug in a MicroUSB cable and charge your the battery inside the phone at the same time! Set it up at night before bed, and both batteries will be fully charged in the morning. When charging the light on the travel charger is somewhat purple-ish. When fully charged it turns blue.
NFC does work with these batteries! I only was able to test it with my Google Cardboard device with NFC chip.
A complete charge in this external charger takes about 2 hours. The batteries are rated for 500 charging cycles...so they will last a long, long time.
Anker has an amazing 18 month no hassle warranty... and they have been around a while!
The last Anker Batteries I bought for my Note 2 swelled up and got so fat I had trouble installing the back cover. This happened after only a few months use. I did have Anker batteries before that did not swell. How long have you used these?

Not positive but they should be able to. If Samsung's charging method works similar to Qualcomm's, the battery shouldn't matter as long as it's the same size. It just sends full amperage to the li ion cells until ~50%, then they use some magic balancing circuit to even the state of charge of the cells as it goes through the last stage of charging.
Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
I have 3 of these batteries like I mention in my OP... and I have been swapping through them routinely . No issues yet. They do fast charge using the original Samsung power adapter. Anker is sending me a brand new quick charger they just released for me to test out and review.
I am posting the info below... but I cannot endorse it yet, as I have not yet received it. I should have it on Monday (tomorrow) and will post back here on how it works.

GOOD QUESTION... And the answer is... I dunno!
The Anker battery is .9wH (Watt-hours) higher than the TrendOn battery. I my understanding and experience is that the higher the Watt-Hours the better. The Anker battery is also a few $$$ cheaper. I have been using Anker products (especially batteries) for a long time, so I given a choice, I will always choose the Anker brand. They both offer the same warranty.
You are probably good with either way you go.

Battery Backups?

Well it looks like this does not have removable battery, which is a small issue for me. I'm using to swapping up to 3 a day. Anyways, what can anyone recommend for a quick top up, etc. other than the standard usb battery packs?
Thank you!
a thin solar case would help here in California, I think, do they even make those?
This
This does have quick charge, and a good size battery. But not being removable when you can get to the back of the phone is a slap on the forehead indeed.
Best bet is probably a 2 amp power bank. They are cheap enough now days.
I have a quick charge 2.0 powerbank. It's by choetech and it has 15600 mah. Check it out on amazon. It qualifies for prime shipping.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
I'm going to go with the Anker PowerCore+ 10050. It's small and has QC 2.0, but only 10000mAh.
I haven't found the quick charge to be all that "quick"
I have a 5200mAh back up battery pack on hand that I got for ten bucks. I don't know the brand. Never have needed to use it but I figure it should be enough of a back-up boost for my needs.
