Im thinking of messing around with CM7 and MIUI code and try to get hdmi working....i dont know if ill even get close but hey its worth a shot.
if i do get it working ill try to get in touch with CM7 an introduce it to them and see what they can do.
if you support me or have advice press the "thanks" button and add your comments below!
Thanks,

Ill be making a thread for this project if i get anywhere.....ill be doing this on the Motorola Triumph

UD 3.0 RC

if you have used ultimate droid on your rooted phone then I think it would be good for u to know that they are supposedly supporting the G tablet with a release tonight!!!
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ul...ndidates-will-released-some-time-tonight.html
Looks interesting... havent found much on whats special about this ROM over our XDA community ROMs... If you find a change log please post..
EDIT: One thing I found is that the 3.0 release will be Gingerbread!

Oh for the love of ..... between that and the new NI Adam port I am never going to get anything done tonight.
I run UD on my Incredible as my daily driver... this is sweet news.
Anyone else thinking we hit a gold mine buying this tablet as early adopters?

Awsome,
Im loving my g tab for the same reason I love my OG Droid 1. I love tinkering and modding and our tablet represents what the droid 1 represents.... Pure hackable fun!!!!
awesome hope it runs as well as on my droid 1 been rocking UD on it since i rooted a long time ago been with UD for every release!
blackdroid still involved in this?
i hope this is released with full credits and full source accompanying it.
we wouldn't want another conspiracy on our hands...
Agree 100% with pershoot. I rather have Brint (bekit) continue his support and porting of Cyanogenmod 6.1/7 along with the others efforts instead of Blackdroid/UD taking their ports and skinning and changing them. Really hate to annoy and loose real developers on this thing .
UD for gTablet? wow....this S...H...I...T is getting better and better. One think I like about android tablet is that we can try out new things everyday...
Keep it up.
Thanks.

I used ultimate droid on my original droid for the longest time, the great thing about ultimate droid is the speed and the built in overclocking capabilities... they do have a lot of options taken from cyanogen (im not sure if he even acknowledges most of them). Plus I really enjoy the theming, black n' red! =)
Where is it? It was supposed to be available last night.
It was delayed do to uploading issues with comcast, they are uploading rc's right now per the facebook post
Run a uname -a and post it here pls if u do flash it.

cm7 Kang with old pershoot kernel....boot loops after reboot....had to clear data/cache again to get out
I would not reboot, just tap power to standby and then it would reboot loop
Well that's a bummer. Sounds like it wasn't properly tested. Thanks for the heads up.

[ROM][WIP][ANDROID 4.0][ICS] ICS Sandwich SDK Port [11/2/11]]

--ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE IS IN NO WAY MY FAULT--
--MAKE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE HAND IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG--
So since Ice Cream Sandwich just came out and alot of people(including me) don't want to wait for it, I decided to go ahead and try to port it from the resources I have. This is in no way a daily rom. ScreenShots attached. Right now all you can do is unlock it and pull up menus. You might be able to get into settings if you are lucky, but yea.
WORKS:
-The keyboard but the mappings are off
-The menu and back button
-Screen off on
DOESN'T WORK:
-Touchscreen
-Anything that wasn't listed above

I am going to go to Lucky's and buy me an ICS right now and buy myself a gingerbread lattie at starbucks. Then later when you get more things fixed with this rom I will flash this bad boy. Cyanogenmod should work on this after they are done with the gingerbread port.

Ahh unfortunately they won't. Most major devs and developer projects don't go after SDK ports not just ours in specific, they're too broken to fully benefit anything as of now but in the future with source it could prove beneficial. But I'm with you on that though.
@Xboxfanj and Allmasteraa: You guys have 14 key different keylayout files within \system\usr\keylayout and none of them wholely match the Epic save for two perhaps. So your key placing issues can lie within that. Also, in most cases the files within \system\usr\keychars are .kcm.bin in most of the instances I've seen them and edited them, the ones lying within this build are just .kcm so that can be an issue also but a fix too. I just thought I could let you know so it could be of some help to you. Not going to flash this just yet, or anything for that matter since I've a need for some stability, but just wanted to help where I thought I may be able to.

AOKP Build27 [3/11/12]

So Konrad got the rom working and it works wonderfully.
I in no way shape or form had anything to do with this except ask for it. Konrad did all the work building from Aokp's source and he did a wonderful job.
Latest working ROM is here http://goo.gl/jfsaI
Rotation is fully fixed and no more bugs then any other ROM out that I can see. Still trying to get all the Asus apps working integrated like everyone else.
GApps: http://goo-inside.me/gapps/latest
FYI: New build updated at the same link. This one includes the asus keyboard and dock libraries. All the languages seem to work just fine. Not sure about the different languages for the dock (Please let me, Konrad know). Also the hotkeys still don't work.
All credit for this build of AOKP and all the work and thanks goes to konrad1337 who built it, Roman and the AOKP team who started the ROM.
I have that ROM on my Nexus S. It's hands down the best ICS ROM.
I have it on my Vibrant and agree it is by far the best one out there. I was actually thinking about seeing of Roman has any tablet builds yet or how difficult it would be to convert one over from phone to tablet or at least run a branch off the committ on github.

Ya but you know who does have a TF is Dan_Brutal. Since you know the Vibe then you know EDT and I think Whitehawxx worked with them both at one time or another. Might be something there. Would be nice though as AOKP is extremely customisable, stable and clean running.
Sidenote::: I saw in another thread that you were wanting to root your TF but didn't want Windows on your computer (ala Viper or Nacho). I am actually trying to figure a way to push the exploit in another way. I will shoot you a PM once I figure something out.
Aokp tf101
Ok, so I came across this post and figured I would lend a hand. I had the device trees and vendor trees for the tf101 to compile successfully for CM9. So I took those and threw them together for AOKP. Was able to get it to compile successfully, but cannot test it till I get out of work....knew I should have brought my tf101 to work lol. Figured I would at least share it, and will be responding with my feedback later tonight. Let me know if there is any problems.
If works fine, will see about taking my cornerstone changes I made to work with CM9 and add them to this AOKP build as well.
Download: http://goo.gl/jfsaI
Edit: So I installed this and it boots and runs fine. Wifi seemed to work fine and all. Only issue I have found so far is the rotation is broke. It wants to stay in portrait mode. Any feedback is welcome.
Edit2: So rotation is fixed; so have a look and let me know what y'all think. Working fine here.
Edit3: Well I got it to display correctly but the touch inputs were still in portrait mode if that makes any sense. I have reverted the changes so the ROM is fully working but stuck in portrait mode.
Edit4: Link updated and everything is working. Have fun!

Man,
I wish we had that many devs on our phone
Oh well, if we had more on cm7, it will help us collect more info on our phone so we can try a port to ics or aosp, or whatever...
Think of cm7 as a 'information collector' we can use to do new projects in the future.
I'd love to hop on this project, but I can't handle that much multitasking. I think we'd get further with more people on cm7, and then later do an ics port.

I think you are right about cm7. As much as I would like to continue with this project, I think we need cm7 first...lol
I have recompiled this thing 22 times now and still cannot get it to work. The biggest accomplishment I have made was getting it to boot and the setup wizard to display. But have not gotten past that.
I don't know much about kernels, but the way you and team acid have laid things out for us, as well as having a little bit of time since I am on vacation now, I think I am giong to take a shot at it. But I still think there is A LOT more reading/learning I need to do first...lol

Thanks brian...
Just to update everyone. I managed to get fix a couple of things. When I hit the menu button while in setup wizard, I can get into the wireless menu. I was also able to navigate thru the setup wizard, but had no keyboard input my email/password. I found I was missing a key file for the keyboard and will fix it later. However, after navigating thru the setup wizard, the homescreen/lockscreen doesn't show. It's coming together, slowly but surely...
Keep up the great work Thomas!
I made some good progress, I think anyways...lol
I installed swype and was able to get past the setup wizard properly.
I got the lockscreen to appear with a temp fix.
Still no homescreen, but I know where the problems lie and will be working on them tomorrow...
ICS is almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[DEV][TEAM WX435] has arrived!

To all the XDA Motorola Triumph fans we have arrived. We have packed our bags from Android Forums and this will be our new stomping ground. We took most of the dev's and formed a collaborative team
https://github.com/WX435
We will be working on making the Motorola Triumph a much better phone and all working together to fix many issues. Right now our main goal is working on rewriting our device files for CM7 and then moving those files into CM9 and AOKP. If we continue to have success we may also start working on AOSP flavors like Gingerbread and ICS as well. Stay tuned for some radical changes and fixes!
Now we just need to talk to B_randon and Austrie

We're counting on you. This is the 3rd site I've followed you to....
Even tho ill most likely see it cause i check so often, im just wondering if you's are going to have like a common name for all roms released from the team or team members??
Like should i keep my eye out for [ROM][TEAM WX435] in the titles?

That is my plan once I release CM 7.2.0, however I will be posting on both sites XDA and AF.
Hi, G60, can you comment on this latest development here: http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...d-sharp-2-2-2-triumph-mms-now-working-5.html?
It seems that using this remodeled Sharp ROM, everything in HW (including AGPS) can be made to work. Is that something which can be leveraged for general development? If so, perhaps in the spirit of team building, everyone can pull together to get one ROM out to use as a basis. Sorry, I'm a dev IRL, but don't know much about how these ROMs are built (from source? provided binaries?). I can help if we're shorthanded doing such a thing.
Thanks.

agent,
Right now our focus is CM7. I am currently reworking the device files for the phone, trying to make everything perfect. I have already downloaded the sharp ROM and will dive into it more to pull out the AGPS to see if I can make it work in CM7. Right now my focus has been on the video and it's getting much better but still needs some tweaks. b_randon is working on the kernel, we are hoping to upgrade that as well. Once I have the device files done will then be reworking them into CM9 & AOKP along with kernel. It's a slow process as we have completely started from scratch. Just know we are working it :good:
Ok, thanks. I just tried out the Sharp ROM, and another thing its seems to get right is deep sleep while wifi is on. I'm not sure if it's doing it correctly or just turning it on when screen is unlocked (not sure what's default on android), but I had auto-sync on. I've never had wifi deep sleep work before (Juicedefender has a bug here). That's kind of a big deal since we've previously had to trade off battery life for speed. Wifi-on is also instant whereas it takes a while in Juicedefender.
