Automatically jumping into Recovery - HTC Sensation

I turn off my phone and hold down the volume button along side the power button. It will automatically go into Hboot and take me to this page. I just want to add another ROM I have in the root folder.
Power => Reflash
Vol - DN => DIAG

Have you deleted the img file from the root of the SD card yet? You need to get that off before going into recovery. I assume you have CWR (clockwork recovery) installed.
Also, try plugging in your phone to your computre and type adb reboot recovery.

I removed the file and the same issue.
Prior to getting to that reflash and diag page it briefly shows another page that sounds update in progress, jumping to diag

Alright, problem has been resolved. I ended up deleting the wrong file. Should have double checked!

Can't Get Into CWM After Update?

Well I updated my CWM to the latest .5 or something because it was supposed to fix the charging while off problem, unfortunately now I can't get into CWM manually at all.
I used to be able to pull the battery, plug phone in, put battery back and turn on and it would load CWM. Now it just begins charging and then boots normally when I hold the power button.
Any help?
Heres what i do:
1. Shutdown the phone
2. Once its off, press and hold the volume down, then press and hold the powerbutton.
3. once in the bootloader, use you volume down button to select the recovery option, to click it press the power button and it should be on CWM recovery.
OR
1. Download ROM manager from the Android Market
2. Once installed, Click on "Reboot to recovery" or something similar.

How can I get into CWR without Rom Manager?

I tried flashing chingy's gingervitis but its got all sorts of problems for me.
Can someone tell me how to get into CWR without Rom manager so I can flash my backup? I can't download it from the market because opening the market freezes and reboots my phone.
Turn phone off > Hold vol - (first) then hold the pwr button

If you want to restore a CW backup choose the "recovery" option.
Sometimes it will start scanning the P05IMG.zip file if you have one on the SD so take it off with a card reader so HBOOT doesn't scan the file, unless you want to just restore one of the RUU's then you can leave it there and install it from HBOOT.

[Q] HTC Wildfire S keeps restarting

I upgraded my ROM from 1.3x to 2.1x using goldcard. After i ran the RUU, it said that the phone update went successful and now the phone just keeps turning on and off without even letting me go to hboot. Please help??
if u have nandroid back up just try to restore, if u dont re flash your rom just make sure that you wipe sytem, wipe cache and try to restore factory settings on the recovery menu just to make sure.
how can i wipe the cache and files, my phone does not even start up the hboot, pc could not even detect my phone. please help.
access recovery menu by pressing volume up + home button + power on at the same time hold it until your phone boots up, then release power button when the phone power up but keep pressing volume up + home button until it reaches recovery menu if it still doesn't work tell me we still have ways for that.

Just confused, pressing "home button" included? also afaik its volume down+Power button.
Also, is recovery menu available even if you havent install CWM? i know its needs debugging to install CWM.

sorry "tol" kinda sleepy when i posted this, your right its volume down+Power, if the phone is already rooted there is a recovery menu already but not CWM, but you can install CWM using ODIN just find a CWM tar.md5 file so you can install this using odin.
its not working. i cannot get to recovery by pressing volume key + power key. any other way to do that?
Maybe your phone already bricked. Jtag will help you to resurrect your phone.

Hi
Did you disable auto re start on Odin ( step 7)
Open Odin and place that TWRP tar file in the [AP] slot and disable Auto-Reboot, then press [Start].
Well, Auto-Reboot was on... How can I fix it?

Hi
Yes go back to download mode and repeat that step...and the following ones
From TWRP thread
Reboot your device into Download mode. To do this, select reboot from the power menu and hold the [Volume Down] + [Home] buttons while your device reboots.
Once you reach the Download mode warning screen, press [Volume Up] to continue.
Open Odin and place that TWRP tar file in the [AP] slot and disable Auto-Reboot, then press [Start].
Hold [Volume Down] + [Home] + [Power] to get out of Download mode and immediately swap to [Volume Up] when the screen blanks.
If you don't see then TWRP boot splash try again from step 6.
At this point, you will reach the screen asking you if you want to allow system modifications.
By swiping right, you will trigger dm-verity, and if you don't follow the next step you will be unable to boot!
If you are going to root your device and follow the rest of these steps, then it is safe to swipe right and enable modifications.
If you want to be rooted with SuperSU:
Download the latest SuperSU by Chainfire.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the SuperSU zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
You will need an external SDcard for this method, if you don't have one you will have to use adb sideload to install SuperSU.
If you only want a bootable system partition:
Download the latest dm-verity and force encryption disabler zip.
Without exiting TWRP, transfer the no-verity-opt-encrypt zip to your device over MTP* and flash it using [Install] in TWRP.
Note: This does not disable the forced encryption on Bxxx firmware, only Axxx firmware due to a change in vold by Samsung.
Go to [Reboot] -> [System].
Wait 2-5 minutes for your device to finish setting itself up.

Great news mate
You did it i just threw at you some ideas
Good that it finally worked.
Here's another hint:
When the device is 'on' (in whichever mode), press power + volume up for a (very!) long time. Then it will completely turn off.
After that, you can turn it back on with power + Home + Volume up. (Don't forget to release power when the device starts, otherwise it will reboot again)

Normally hold power for 7 seconds until it restarts.
But, of cause, that wouldn't work here, so you will have to hold the Volume-down button (Sorry, I told you the volume up), then press power for at least 7 seconds.
Oh, why should I think when we have google: http://gadgetguideonline.com/s7/sasmung-galaxy-s7-how-to-guides/turn-on-turn-off-samsung-galaxy-s7-and-galaxy-s7-edge/

You need to restart the device in TWRP right after the flash with Odin or the default recovery will be reinstalled. To do this just uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin and right after the PASS message appears in Odin and following the instructions on the site: https://www.**********.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-on-android-7-0-nougat/ : "Press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power key on your device and as soon as the screen goes black, move your finger ad switch from the Volume Down to the Volume Up key immediately while keeping the Power + Home Key pressed. So the combination as soon as the screen goes back should be Power + Home + Volume Up. Your device should boot into TWRP recovery."
I did this by following this instructions to install TWRP on my S6 G920i and it worked.
Forgot to mention that you need to also install Magisk before restarting on the factory ROM or the device will go into bootloop. This is not necessary if you are installing LineageOS.
