You need to restart the device in TWRP right after the flash with Odin or the default recovery will be reinstalled. To do this just uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin and right after the PASS message appears in Odin and following the instructions on the site: https://www.**********.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-on-android-7-0-nougat/ : "Press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power key on your device and as soon as the screen goes black, move your finger ad switch from the Volume Down to the Volume Up key immediately while keeping the Power + Home Key pressed. So the combination as soon as the screen goes back should be Power + Home + Volume Up. Your device should boot into TWRP recovery."
I did this by following this instructions to install TWRP on my S6 G920i and it worked.
Forgot to mention that you need to also install Magisk before restarting on the factory ROM or the device will go into bootloop. This is not necessary if you are installing LineageOS.

[Q] HTC Wildfire S keeps restarting

I upgraded my ROM from 1.3x to 2.1x using goldcard. After i ran the RUU, it said that the phone update went successful and now the phone just keeps turning on and off without even letting me go to hboot. Please help??
if u have nandroid back up just try to restore, if u dont re flash your rom just make sure that you wipe sytem, wipe cache and try to restore factory settings on the recovery menu just to make sure.
how can i wipe the cache and files, my phone does not even start up the hboot, pc could not even detect my phone. please help.
access recovery menu by pressing volume up + home button + power on at the same time hold it until your phone boots up, then release power button when the phone power up but keep pressing volume up + home button until it reaches recovery menu if it still doesn't work tell me we still have ways for that.

Just confused, pressing "home button" included? also afaik its volume down+Power button.
Also, is recovery menu available even if you havent install CWM? i know its needs debugging to install CWM.

sorry "tol" kinda sleepy when i posted this, your right its volume down+Power, if the phone is already rooted there is a recovery menu already but not CWM, but you can install CWM using ODIN just find a CWM tar.md5 file so you can install this using odin.
its not working. i cannot get to recovery by pressing volume key + power key. any other way to do that?
Maybe your phone already bricked. Jtag will help you to resurrect your phone.

[Q] Reboot loop after 4.4.2 update to 4.4.4

Okay so I have just updated my phone yesterday as I got a notification saying there was an update to 4.4.4 so I downloaded it and installed it and now the phone is stuck in a boot loop, is there any possible way that you can make simple for me as I am new to rooting and flashing phones, this was my first ever time.
Thanks for any help or advice in advance.

Okay so after doing a couple days research and listening to you guys, I found out when I rooted I didn't flash a recovery... So yeah I installed CWM recovery and then wiped cashe partision and it worked. When I wiped it, it came up saying to "fix root" as I may have lost in then I clicked yes then booted straight away. That's it fixed now.
Thank you for your help everyone!

When the phone is rebooting, press and hold power down, you'll then get into Fastboot. From there, go to Recovery using the volume down key and when selected, press the volume up to select. If it tries to install the update again, don't let it reboot into the ROM - when the recovery restarts itself, make sure you hold volume down again.

It doesn't work it just keeps rebooting and coming up with the "bootloader unlocked" screen after itself
1. With the phone powered off, press the VOL UP + VOL DOWN KEY together + POWER KEY .
2. The device will display different BOOT OPTIONS
3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL to Recovery and VOL UP Key to SELECT
Tip: If the device reboots, you may have waited to long to make a selection, you will need to begin the process again.
4. The device will display the Motorola logo and then the Android in distress ( logo with Exclamation mark)
5. Press and hold the VOL DOWN key, then tap and release the VOL UP key.
Tip: You can try this step, holding the phone in landscape. If you are stuck on step 5, try a force reboot by pressing the power Key and Vol Down key, and start the process again.
6. The device will display additional menu options (Text will appear in BLUE)
7. Use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll to wipe cache partition and the POWER Key to SELECT this option.
8. The device will then perform the partition wipe
9. Once the Formatting is complete, press the POWER key to confirm a REBOOT
11. The device will reboot and start the normal power up sequence .
worked for me.....

Still none the wiser how to update to 4.4.4 though! I mean surely with a rooted phone there is an app to do it these days???
u can try this
if you have unlock bootloader and can go to fastboot mode,.try to flash your moto g using your 4.4.2 stock rom by manually (you can search how to do it),.flash partition gpt and motoboot (ignore the error),reboot bootloader and finished the rest command..flash phil touch recovery and reboot ro recovery,go to install zip, choose install zip from sideload then send your phone update using sideload command.
that"s solved my problems when i'm getting stuck on blank screen after unlock bootloader warning or only booting to recovery,i'm on 4.4.2 when get that error.
but now in my case,i should go to fastboot mode and choose normal powerup to make my phone booting normally,.because if i'm power on using power button, moto g booting to recovery, not a big deal for me as long as my phone back to the track hehehe
my moto g is o2 germany, but i'm flashing with 4.4.2 germany retail and 4.4.4 update for germany retail.

the right way
power + home + vol up
By holding the "home button + vol -" keep holding until you see twrp
OR
Depending on the carrier you have sometimes the recovery mode the first time is the hard reset screen.
Before you do this back up your device
if you installing it right, hold the "home button + vol -" when you booting it up once you see it your manufacturer logo, let go of your home button then press it again, keep holding the vol -.
Now, you should now should see the hard reset screen, use the volume key to move and now press yes for everything and then twrp will boot up.
Disclaimer i don't have this device
I have a J500F version, found the solution.
Uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin, then do the "installing", after that unplug your device and just simply remove the battery, then replace it.
If you're done then Volume up + Home + Power button will get you into TWRP.

J510F Stock recovery screen after TWRP install [Fixed]

I'm using ODIN to install TWRP but after the install I'm still being put into the stock recovery screen, I have Auto Restart disabled under ODIN and I access recovery mode with power + vol up + home buttons and letting the power button go as soon as I see the logo but still holding onto the vol up + home button. This is done immediately after the ODIN install. I have tried multiple times leaving the Downloading Mode using power + vol down and entering recovery mode as well as removing my battery after the TWRP install and booting directly into recovery mode but all of them give me the stock recovery.
Re-flash Stock ROM to get rid off of all mods you applied. Then try again.
I haven't installed anything other than TWRP and if I do a normal boot the phone acts as if nothing ever happened, but I will try with a stock ROM install as well and check if it changes anything
I managed to root it for anyone with the same issue, the tutorial I was following seemed to have a faulty TWRP, the links on the official site work, the magisk method didn't work for me so I used the supersu method which worked perfectly.

stuck in bootloop after flashing TWRP

Hi, I was following this guide to Installing TWRP and Root for Samsung Galaxy A51
I think I messed up the key combo from step 7 and now my phone is stuck in bootloop and can't be turned off. how should I proceed ?
( I tried multiple key combos, the only response I get is when I hold down (the power key + vol down) then I am only restarting the phone to the same warning.
Do you have flashed the Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt_03.04.2020.zip in order to be able to boot with custom Firmware modifications
