I found a thread here to port the ICS animations. Has anyone else seen this or given this a try? I followed the thread to the T and haven't tried it out yet. I pulled the framework apk from Humble 5.0, did as the thread stated, signed the apk, copied to phone and used Androzip to create a zip. I feel confident in what I did until the creating a zip part, lol.

You don't actually have to create a zip file. If you have Root Explorer, just put the framework-res.apk on your sdcard then copy and paste it into /system/framework
I use Androzip and ES File Explorer and neither one allows me to copy the framework over. I also tried to flash the file and it just aborted the install. I guess I'll have to move it via the computer.

If it aborted the install then it's probably a problem with your updater-script. I can give you the download link for usuable zip if you want. All you have to do is delete all the apps from it then paste your framework-res.apk in it. Assuming you're using this over Humble ROM?
That would be awesome. That would come in handy in case I can't move it using the computer. And yea, I'm running 5.0. I also use launcher 7 so I'm not sure how the transitions will work.

Might be true but from what I've heard it's upgrades as well. As long as it's a new 2 year contract.
FWIW a friend of mine called amazon to see if he could use his upgrade and it was a no go, they told him its for new lines/accounts only... this is just one example though, it'd be nice to hear they're taking upgrades
There's no mystery about the pricing, you can go straight to the website and it's all there.
http://wireless.amazon.com/Motorola-RAZR-Android-Verizon-Wireless/dp/B0061OQJTK/
New accounts/new lines are a penny, upgrades are 229.99 (which is still a better deal than Verizon).
Amazon's megasales almost never apply to upgrades.
I wonder if I can open a new line and then drop my current one or if I would have to pay an ETF...

Not to mention you run the risk of losing unlimited data if you currently have it.

The unlimited data is really what keeps me with verizon. I use quite a bit of data every month so their tiered plans would drain my bank account. I just hope when its time for an upgrade I can still keep the unlimited.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that Verizon said once they start the tiered data plan, they would let existing customers upgrade 1 more time without having to go to the tiered data. I already used an upgrade from a different line on my plan but my actual line is up for an upgrade in March so hopefully when I use that, I can still keep the unlimited data for another 2 years.
I really hope that is the case. Although I'm not eligible for an upgrade until next November I believe. With my luck they will change the policy that I will have to get a tiered plan.

Go to your torrent website and download the torrent, then open andtorrent and go into the menu and click add torrent. Go into your downloads folder and open the torrent file you downloaded from the website and start it.
Please do not torrent on the Sprint 3G or WiMax networks. It's because of people of you that we might end up losing unlimited bandwidth.
There are torrent apps for the EVO but somethings are best left to a PC. Thousands of connections every minute to every couple of seconds depending on how much you are downloading. Even on wifi is death on the battery and heats up the processor and wireless card and if its plugged in your whole phone warms right up and doubles as a space heater not to mention all the dropped connections and packet loss make it take longer than a computer would. Read/write speeds on the sd card are garbage for torrenting. I can name what is wrong with this all day. Do your self a favor get utorrent on your computer and call it a day. If you dont have internet on your pc tether and if you don't have a pc get insurance on your phone im not sure it will last very long if it keeps overheating.

It was never really unlimited I used 7 gigs last month and saw the monthly usage and there is a yellow line at 10GB and it says "PRO RATED CHARGE" which seems really stupid to me if its 10GB then call it 10GB not "unlimited". Also as far as I know 4G is not metered by Sprint so if on 4G its pretty much open season.

The salient question is why would Verizon block owners of their flagship phone (okay, maybe the Droid Charge is that now, with the "Droid" branding") from the app at all, let alone for so long. Damn phone's been on the market for 10 weeks now and still no TB-compatible MyVerizon app. Very weird.
Look here at Post #6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14277108
The release is a verizon apk, however they have not released it because they do not want LTE users usage to be changed by having their current usage easily accessible. It will help them price out the tiered plans that we are getting this summer.

it appears to be one of those high quality game loft games. they code games for the hardware and they may check the build.prop for compatability, so even a compatible device might not play the game if they havent added the device to there supported list. if it is in the market it may work if it is gameloft website only you may need to register the phone number and claim what carrier you have, they haven't really been supporting att devices for some reason, i didnt have much success downloading there games by anyones instruction but others claim it works. good luck, let us know your results!
i hate that they have all the checks because anyone with root and chianfire 3d can run games for other chipsets just fine. why not detect the gpu and cpu and have one universal install that has coding for several different api's? would it make the game that much bigger?

Yeah, it basically is WoW for your phone. I've been playing it for a couple of months on an old iPhone 3GS, an HTC Inspire and on my ASUS Transformer. If an MMORPG is your cup of tea, I can't recommend Order and Chaos enough.
Anywho, Order & Chaos is not officially supported on the Transformer but I was able to get it to work by rooting it, downloading the game cache manually, and using Titanium Backup to install an "all devices" version of the game. I haven't rooted the Infuse yet and I was hoping there would be a way to install Order & Chaos without rooting but it sounds like rooting might be the only way.

If you're up to try it, follow the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1159975
Download the cache file referenced there and unzip it to /gameloft/games . Then PM me your email address and I'll send you the download link to the Titanium Backup backup of the game (I would post it here but I think it's considered warez). Then you unpack the TiBu backup to /TitaniumBackup , open TiBu, and restore the game from there.

It's not officially supported, but it works just fine. I don't understand why Gameloft does this with some of their games - they make their games available only for specific devices - but Order & Chaos definitely works with the Infuse. Something like that happened to me a while back, i didn't change any settings or stuff, just browsing the web. I passed 5 gigs, didn't get the text. Continued using it until i realized I've used up 9 gigs, still with 4G speeds. Then i finally got the text. So next cycle, one day passed, and i got the text again, saying I'm going to be throttled. Though this was a bluff, continued on. Next day I'm at 7kb/s. That's the end..
Bottom line is that they were late on throttling me, and the amount i went over the 5 gig limit was subtracted from my limit the next cycle. Tell me about laggin' it..

havent played with it a ton but i thought it would be great for backing up my titanium backup and pics and stuff between flashes.
if anyone figures out how to upload a folder from your phone let me know how please =)
Can't upload large files. Tried to upload a Tom but it said that the file was too big.
Can't upload a folder, but you can create a folder on Box and upload into it.
Lower left of box app is a plus sign on top of a folder, click that to create your folder.
Even with the huge amount of space, no folder uploads, small upload limit, and no desktop client makes box pretty much useless. Dropbox dominates because it has these features.

yes but dropbox doesnt give you 50 gb free for life.
i figure might as well get it now, and it should improve in the future lol
If I am not mistaken it is a 100 mb limit. Really not that bad. Uploaded abunch of stuff foe backup

yeah i think it is. its weird you cant upload a folder though....
Ive had that for a long time. I had to download an app which you had to login to with your Box details, then it somehow made the actual Box think that it was a certain phone (LG or SE?) that could get 50GB free and then voila.

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I really like the dropbox UI on mobile and desktop. I hope box.net updates their UI in the future.

Grabbed this yesterday, like it so far. And I was able to upload the full "camera" folder from my gallery. Yeah, the 100mb limit kinda sucks, but between Dropbox and Sugarsync, I got that covered.

one thing ive found out recently is that with dropbox you can set it to automatically backup your pictures (when on wifi if you want)
which is great because i always forget to back them up when changing roms (constantly)
and have lost a ton of pictures!
